Lovely house in Collioure in good location
Lovely spacious house in a good location with good amenities. The house allows you to enjoy the mediterranean summer comfortably but also has facilities for cooler times as well. It's a home from home except with better views and location! Lovely views of the valley from the front balcony, also a great rear garden/terrace to relax in - the garden reflects the area by having old vine terracing. The walk into Collioure town is easy, whether via road or the ravine. It's also convenient to walk the other way into the vineyards and hills. The house was clean and very welcoming - we really enjoyed our holiday.

A great property within walking distance to the village and a lovely place to relax. The owners were very quick in solving a few minor issues that we had. We’d definitely stay here again!

Peaceful stay in Collioure
We had a fantastic week in this peaceful location which is away from the bustling town centre. It is perfectly located for walks into the pretty woods and vineyards above Collioure. The house is large and comfortable with a lovely garden so there is masses of space which is a luxury. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful views from the kitchen window at breakfast and family meals in the evening around the large table in the garden. Thanks for a brilliant stay.

We love the house and especially the garden, but it needs some work. It is in need of numerous repairs from leaky sinks & faucets and broken toilet seats to larger issues like wiring. The breakers tripped on us almost every day, causing us to lose power. For the money it cost, we expected better quality.

Charming house with terrace
The house is big, on two levels with terraces at front and back. The house is charming , old French style and clean. We were a party of 6, including 3 kids aged 8,7 and 3. The kids had lots of fun on back terrace running around. Many a pleasant evening dinner there. It's very peaceful and lovely. Millions of stars at night. Not a noise. It's a 15 min walk from Collioure (with 3 kids so maybe slower pace for us!) The walk was a bit off putting coming back as it's going slightly uphill. Collioure is very busy in the summer, impossible to park anywhere so you have to walk. We shopped at the hypermarché Intermarché on Argeles , 15min drive. We missed a boulangerie super close, there was one but again 15 min walk there and back. There is everything you need in the house, cooking utensils, Baby cot if you need one. Be prepared for mosquitoes! Everywhere in town at dusk. Collioure has 3 small 'town' beaches, very small and crowded. If you want big beaches, it's a 10 min drive. Collioure is full of restaurants , but you might need to book or go there early if you are a big group as the good ones are packed!

We spent two great weeks in late September in this marvelous place. The house is a great vacation retreat if you look form something quite but close to the center of scenic Colliure. We used it as home base for exciting hiking trips along the Cote de Vermeille and up to the Pyrenees Mountains. The house is fully equipped, very well maintained, and nicely decorated. Has a very nice private terrace to hang out in the open. Plenty of books and music provided. We highly recommend this place.

The house is well situated and the garden is private. There was always a welcome breeze in a very hot week. We had everything we needed for our comfort and an excellent selection of books and DVDs too. We could walk down to Collioure along the ravine in 15 minutes where the beaches are fabulous and there is a great choice of restaurants. We enjoyed outings to Elne and Ceret but mostly we relaxed and enjoyed the house and Collioure.

We spent a perfect week at this charming house - we were glad to discover that everything is as pretty as on the internet photos. Also, the house is very well equipped with everything you need, has a large terrace with natural shade in the mornings and later afternoon (and at midday you can roll out a sunroof). Nice stroll to Collioure, about 10 minutes, and you don't have to worry about parking. Lots of art and jazz and cooking books in the living room... Our dog enjoyed it, too; it's great that he was allowed to come as well!

We spent a lovely anniversary week at Chez Collioure – and we’d go back in a heartbeat. This is a very comfortable, attractive and welcoming home on a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking vineyards and hillsides. Chez Collioure is equipped with everything anyone would need for an extended stay which makes it a perfect base from which to explore this fascinating town and the surrounding region.
The owners have supplied a great array of books and music to enjoy in the quiet times. There’s so much to do within walking distance when you decide to leave the comforts of Chez Collioure to explore the town and its beautiful waterfront -- cafes, restaurants, historic sites, artist studios, a castle -- and the countless tempting attractions beyond including wine tours, pretty villages, museums, stunning land and seascapes at every turn.
Spend just an hour by the waterfront and you’ll understand why Collioure has inspired generations of artists including Matisse, Derain and Braque, to name but a few.
In Collioure, don’t miss the cafe "Les Templiers" and its walls of art works given in payment for food, drink and lodging by artists who frequented/frequent this gorgeous spot. And for a change of pace, the Museum of Modern Art in town is definitely worth a vist.
The owners of Chez Collioure provide their guests with lots of information – local maps, tour guides and personal recommendations – and they clearly want you to enjoy their lovely home and your visit to wonderful Collioure.
We enthusiastically recommend this idyllic property.

We visited Chez Collioure for three months in the off-season and found the house and the village to be just as advertised. The house was clean, comfortable, well appointed. The property manager, Louise, and Greg and Joan, the owners, were courteous and efficient when dealing with any questions or concerns. My wife and I lived on the second floor which left the first floor available for our guests. I would recommend this property to anyone who either has a car or likes to walk. We walked into the village at least twice a day and into the hills often. The house is close to the train and bus stations allowing us to visit other towns in the region.

We rented this property for 2 months, the house has a fantastic private patio area which sold it for us when we first booked. The house was well equipped, a great collection of books and parking which is essential around Collioure. The BBQ area is a great space to dine inexpensively al fresco. We felt it was conveniently located, just a 10 minute walk to the beach, shops, galleries, restaurants and village market. Our neighbors were very friendly and helpful. The property backs on to a vineyard and there are beautiful walks up the valley through them. The market Wednesday & Sundays are a must see, great to hang out and people watch. We found eating out a little expensive for what was on offer so be cautious with the 3 course menus, you always seem to end up with a 50 Euro lunch !We would highly recommend this property and are already planning to book again next year.

Very pleaseant property
This pleasant house was exactly as described and in a peaceful and pleasant part of Collioure. It was within 15 minutes walk of town, easily reached by a "short cut" alongside the dried up river bed. There was parking at the house. The patio garden was private and provided both sunshine and shade, with a good outdoor eating area. The kitchen had excellent facilities and was very well equipped. There were plenty of DVD's, CD's and books provided for entertainment. The 2 downstairs bedrooms (1 twin & 1 double) were cool, even in very hot sunshine. The upstairs bedroom was less shaded but had patio doors on to the outdoor area. Collioure itself is a wonderfully vibrant town, hard to access normally due to difficulty in parking. There are numerous shops, restaurants and bars, as well as several beaches. Local supermarkets within 5 minutes drive make this a perfect holiday destination for families of all ages. I would recommend this property unreservedly as long as you are prepared for a short walk into the town.

Beautiful Collioure
This is al ovely house, very well eqipped and nicely furnished. There is an amazing collection of books to suit every taste. The patio a real sun-trap and completely private. There are nice views from the front rooms. Whilst the house is a little out of town, there is a taxi service, or do as we did and walk by the short cut ( see details in visitors' book) which is pleasant and easy. Also great bars to watch rugby world cup.
The house is exactly as described the the advertisemnet and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We have had a great time in Collioure, third visit but first In Chez Collioure. The house more than lived up to the description. Great for a large or small family. Quiet location, 10 min walk to the centre of town and beaches. Pleanty of good books to read sitting in the garden. Our 8 yr old especially enjoyed snorkling and feeding the fish. Reccomend taking any stale bread down to the beach and stand in the sea and feed the large school of fish that arrive, not advised unsupervised for vey young children as the fish can bite. Many good restaurants. A very enjoyable experience.

Chez Collioure - worth the trip
A great place to site ourselves in the lovely Catalan town of Collioure. Having stayed in variable accomodation in France over the last few years, we found Chez Collioure ideal for our family of two adults and two young children. Extremely spacious and in a quiet location (important with young children) about 10 minutes walk or a 4 minutes cycle ride from the main attractions and centre of town. The house caters for the holiday reader, the lover of foreign language films and the jazz ebnthusiast with an extensive range of books, videos and CD's. Thoughtfully, there are plenty of guidebooks and maps of Catalonia and the Lanquedoc region. There is plenty to see and do with good links down to Barcelona and into the Pyrenees and plenty of vartiety in the scenery. If we were to be ultra-picky, a number of lightbulbs were missing or not working when we arrived - but this would not detract from us recommending this property to anyone wanting a base to explore this pretty seaside town and the fascinating area.

August in Collioure
Our party of two families has just spent two glorious weeks in this comfortable house in the beautiful resort of Collioure. We feel that the photographs do not do justice to this spacious, homely and well equipped holiday home which we would highly recommend. The owners have provided lots of information about the area and the house is full of useful guide books about the area. Collioure is an ideal location for exploring the whole Catalan region and is abeautiful holiday place in itself. .We would recommend Restaurant St Elne which is good value for Collioure, serves good value wine, good sized portions, employs very accomodating staff and is in a beautiful sea front location. Our only criticism of Collioure is that it did not have a fish mongers which we would have liked. And our only critism of the house is that we did feel that the walk to the beach was more in the region of 15-20 minutes with children, in the heat and coming up the hill after a hard day laying on the beach!

Perfect holiday
19th July - 1st August
We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks in this charming house. The house is spacious & very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped & the secluded garden is great for dining. The views are amazing & the location is perfect for those seeking a relaxing break. A 10 minute walk to the beach & centre of Collioure.
Our 3 teenagers loved every minute of their stay & we are already looking forward to our return next year.
Tips for teenagers: Indigo night club - "unbelievably good" !!
Internet access in centre of Collioure. Aqualand. Decathalon sport store - outskirts of Perpignan. Tourist office very helpful.

Une maison très fraîche effectivement!
Great property, great location. Whilst in a cul-de-sac with several other properties in the vicinity, the actual property itself is extremely private providing excellent alfresco dining in the backgarden. Beautiful vista of the surrounding area from the front balcony. No need for car to enjoy Collioure itself. Short walk to the beach/town. Feels longer though in the heat! Great for couples/families etc. House itself is different to the norm, which is a plus and one warms to it very quickly as it has a great homely feel, which sometimes lacks in other properties. Highly recommended.

Easter
We have just returned from beautiful Collioure. We had a wonderful time staying at Chez Collioure which more than lived up to its description (not often in the case of rental properties in France!) Unfortunately, the weather was not too good. The house, however, offered a cosy warmth to relax and enjoy some of the many books in the library and just relax. We especially enjoyed sampling the local wines and the world-famous anchovies! We highly recommend this accommodation. It is ideal for a large family such as ourselves, 7 people - or even for two couples and a couple kids! We hope to return again next year!

Christmas in Collioure !
We are a family of 7 and spent Christmas at Chez Collioure. We found the house very comfortable and warm and its proximity to the village was great; we could walk everywhere! The furniture and decor is very nice and we all were able to sit around the large dining table and have our Christmas meal. We would recommend this large house for families.

lovely house in quiet location in collioure
The property was excellent, even better than we expected from the information on the web page. The house is extremely well equiped with lots of good books, art work etc to enjoy. Terrace and garden a sun trap and lovely views from the front windows over the valley.
10 minute walk to the centre of Collioure along a path alongside a creak.First bit down a hill but then flat. Collioure is a lovely small town with lots of good restaurants and cafes and grocery shops sufficient for everyday needs. Will be back we hope!

Sunny and Spacious
I stayed recently at Chez Collioure with my husband and our 3 children. We found the house spacious and ideal for ourselves and 3 adult teenagers. What we especially loved was the privacy offered by the garden and we were fortunate to have sunny days to dine out on the terrace which had been newly painted. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever found in a rented house, as I love to cook and the array of fresh ingredients to be found at the local market lends itself to self-catering. We found this house to be very comfortable and very cosy. In the evening when we had to put on the heating, the house warmed up very quickly. We would certainly return and would recommend this house to other visitors. It was also nice to receive our security deposit back within a few days of returning home to cold and grey England!
