the location was insanely good, nestled in next to a bar, a restaurant/pizzeria and an unbelievable ice cream parlour, and so close to the beach. place was clean and the shower was nice. there was a small window but the view was good, down the alleyway, onto the beach and beyond the sea… the sun set in that direction so there were some beautiful sights. cheap place to stay and the lady who checked us in was very nice. decent sized fridge, gotta stock up on those cold drinks :)

the place was comically small. the photos on booking.com were very deceiving and mostly showed a different apartment altogether. you have to climb an actual ladder to get into bed (my girlfriend is recovering from recently breaking her leg so this was actually a nightmare) and you can’t even really sit up when in bed. top marks to the photographer but I feel the owner has been very sneaky with this apartment and the listing. they have made a good use of the space to be fair to them, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. the “sofa bed” on the ground couldn’t be opened up into a bed as there wasn’t the room, and as a sofa I’m not sure I’ve ever been so uncomfortable as it just deflated when you sat on it, meaning you’re basically sitting on the floor. there was nowhere to put our bags so we never properly unpacked.

It took some time to program the washing machine as instructions were only in Spanish.

Good location, beach is nearby and the neighborhood seemed to be calm.

The place was not really clean. It was a bit dusty and some of the kitchen appliances were very dirty and not usable in such state; for example the toaster was full of mold.

It smelled like sewer gas when we arrived. The lady who let us in smelled it too. We asked several times for it to be fixed. 3 times they checked it and their plumber said he would fix it when we left. The two ladies in charge had smelled it and the plumber. Meanwhile, we suffered nausea, headaches, throat and lung irritation. The smell was so strong sometimes we had to leave in order to breathe. It was without a doubt the most horrific conditions either of us had ever experienced. We did not get moved to another place and when we asked for some sort of refund to alleviate the horrible living conditions we were ignored.

Apartamento demasiado pequeno.

There was a terrible smell inside the apartment coming from the sour pipes. That smell was so intense, that staying inside was almost impossible. Besides that there is a big construction site literally 1m from the door step. Between 8 am and 5pm you have to endure the sound of construction machinery. These factors combined make you not want to stay at this apartment at all. I cant understand how one can rent a place with these conditions.
