Fantastic getaway, v quiet location, everything you would possibly need was provided. Lovely pool, great for a peaceful relaxation. Ideal for two couples but probably not suitable for a family, but this is stated in the description. Michael v. friendly host who kept his distance after initial intro. Only suggestion would be a one-way see-thru screen in the downstairs bedroom when you open the curtains - nearly got caught out dressing/changing when Michael walked past a couple of times, and we didn't want to have to keep the curtains closed.

Very clean property, welcoming host who goes the extra mile and even booked a restaurant for us. So relaxing and the pool is just superb.

Brilliant villa in a wonderful location with beautiful views. Amazing secluded garden and pool area which lends itself to a relaxing holiday whilst forgetting the world outside. Wouldn’t be right to not mention Michael whose friendly welcome started us off well and who was on hand if required but totally left us to enjoy our time there.

We have been before and both love the casita it is beautiful inside and out and so tranquil but also a short drive from the coast Warm welcome and advice from Michael was great too and we look forward to returning

We had a very nice week at this place. The house was exceptionally clean and organised. You can find everything you need. The pool area is totally private and away from other eyes. The owner was very friendly. And the view was amazing.

This villa is beautiful, the pool is fantastic and the views from all rooms are stunning. The villa has everything you could wish for. We had a fabulous few days here - it’s so tranquil and private. Thank you Michael for making our stay perfect ... I can’t recommend this villa highly enough.

Lovely property, stunning views, car needed as a little off the beaten track, but overall 5 stars. The area is lovely, just be aware though late September quite a few of the local restaurants close early or the close compleaty.

This property is fantastic. The location is beautiful and the accommodation is so comfortable and of a very high standard. The pool is lovely and the owner is so helpful and kind. We loved our stay here and everything was perfect.

The property was clinically clean which impressed us! It was exactly as described with panoramic views over and across the valley right down to the sea. It was an idllyic villa for a tranquil, relaxing holiday. Michael, the owner, was incredibly helpful before we arrived and during our stay. As our flights were ridiculous times he was flexible and acccmodating. We couldn't rate this villa and Michael highly enough.

we have stayed at Michaels casita, quite a few times now , and an excellent standard has always been maintained,the villa is always immaculate, with very comfortable beds and everything you need, it is very peaceful, and has great views, Michael lives next door and is on hand if you need anything, you will need a car,saying that you are very excessable to Benidoleig, Orba and many more villages and towns, most with very good restaurants and bars , which Michael will be happy to recommend. The beach at Denia is about 15mins away,there is certainly plenty of places to visit,or you can just relax around the pool, I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, and if you do stay here, you will have a wonderful time

There are no caveats, its as lovely as it looks and sounds. When I am looking at the photos and description of a possible rental place I'm trying to figure out what's missing in a description, or whether there's disappointment lurking outside the photo's view? Well don't bother; this place is great! The pool is lovely, but we didn't get in it in mid March. The owner's house is off to the side in the photos, what you see in the photos is all yours. The beds feel new and are comfortable, everything is a nice size to spread yourselves out a bit. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom leads out into the gated pool area, it is just separate enough from the living area and other bedroom that two couples can have together space and separate space. I think its a great arrangement. The villa is in a very quiet and attractive residential subdivision up a hillside from the town. You want a car to get round the area, and if you rent a manual you'll need to use the clutch. The instructions to the villa are easy to follow, and even tell you when you should be in first gear (one corner). The road is a proper width for two way traffic, as are all the roads you need to drive on in the area. However there isn't much traffic at all until you hit the coast 16 km away. There is a grocery store in the town at the bottom of the development, another larger one 4 km away in one direction and a large mall 7 km in the other direction. The motorway is by the mall and you can get to Valencia or Alicante in less than an hour for less than 10 Euros toll. There are all the appliances you could reasonably want, they are spotless, and they work. Michael will point you towards some really nice restaurants in the area, lovely atmosphere and food, and they are great value. Ask for directions, the Satnav in our car was easily fooled, Google Maps were better, but Michael knows the local landmarks that make finding things easy. The dogs ( in a couple of the photos) liked to watch us coming and going from a window in the owner's property but were very well behaved and out of the way the whole time. ... and you will never tire of the view.

We booked this apartment after reading the previous reviews and were not disappointed. The views are amazing, very peaceful location (make sure you have a car with some reasonable power to get up the mountain and the steep drive!) and clean/comfortable apartment. Fantastic pool area.

We had a wonderful stay at Michael's Casita which enabled us to relax and recharge. It is located in a wonderful setting in a mountain urbanization with the most amazing views that you can sit and just look at for ages. The inside of the villa is very modern and comfortable with everything you need to be self catering and lovely rain showers in the bathrooms. For shopping, there is a Carrefour at Ondara which is only a 10 minute drive where there is also a nice indoor shopping complex. Aldi is also there and Lidl is about a 20 minute drive. The most surreal but enjoyable thing for us was the silence which was so welcoming and relaxing making you feel totally removed from the world. The back of the villa is a sun trap and there is a lovely patio area with a large pool (we couldn't use it as it was too cold but in the summer it would be fabulous). The owner Michael lives next door and very friendly and welcoming. He is on hand should you need anything and he can give you recommendations for restaurants and days out. We spent our days relaxing and touring the wonderful scenic mountains in a Fiat 500 which just about made it up the steep roads (you might want to consider something more powerful). The area was littered with wonderful orange trees and it was only a 15 minute drive to the coast. We would highly recommend this villa to those who want to get away from it all and experience a slice of real spanish life in beautiful setting.

We had a lovely week in Benidoleig - the Villa is lovely on the inside as well as the outside and the setting is fabulous and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings and evenings and spending time by the pool in between - the inside of the property is spacious and comfortable too. Michael is very friendly and welcoming (as are his dogs) and really helpful - the Villa is kept to a very high standard and we very much hope to return

Nous avons passé de super vacances chez Michael durant 14 jours. Endroit idéal pour pouvoir se reposer pleinement en toute tranquillité et sans vis à vis. La villa est superbe et très bien entretenue avec tout le confort nécessaire pour pouvoir passer un agréable séjour. Prestations de qualité. Michael est quelqu'un de très accueillant et aux petits soins pour ses locataires tout en restant discret. Il habite juste à côté, ce qui est pratique si l'on a besoin de conseil. Everything about the villa was superb very quiet and beautiful surroundings with a lovely swimming pool.

We stayed at Michael's small villa at the end of August and were blessed with fabulous weather. The villa was spotless as was the private pool. Had a very quiet, relaxing, some might say lazy, 9 days and would recommend.

This was our 5th visit to Casa Leon and yet again it was well worth it. This villa has everything you could need for your stay. It also has arguably one of the best views in Spain. Michael has kept the villa up to date and added those little extras that many other properties do not have. He was also on hand for any help and advice when we needed. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful holiday, yet within a short drive to the beach, bars and shops, this is the place to be. We would recommend Casa Leon to couples and small families. Just returned on the 17th June. Had the most amazing holiday here. The villa is even better than the pictures and Michael is awesome, there if you need him but giving you total privacy too. Everything is clean, neat, tidy and well presented. The pool was just beautiful, warm and clean and no chlorine smell. Fabulous to have comfortable beds instead of hard Spanish ones, slept so well. You just can't get enough of the views from this villa, they are amazing. We loved the remoteness as it gave us peace and quiet day and night. Michael's dogs Leyla and Zac are so cute and stopped us missing our own dogs quite so much. I would definitely recommend this place, fantastic for unwinding and relaxing. Part of the charm was the drive there around the windy roads and the trips to the local shops and bar for Tapas. Thank you Michael for your hospitality.

This is our third successive visit to Casita Leon and it just gets better every time, You could not ask for more it is true home from home furnished to a very high standard , beautifully clean and tidy , a brand new utility room this year and new patio doors leading out to the stunning pool area . The host Michael is one very very nice guy who is always there to help if needed but gives you all the privacy you could ever want . we had a great time walking his to beautiful rescue dogs Leyla and Zac which helped us in not missing our own dog to much , This villa is in a beautiful part of spain with little restaurants and bars all within minutes of the villa . we have only been home a week already planning another trip out there . This was the 6th time that I have stayed here. I travel on my own and I am looking for a place to feel at peace, safe, comfortable & a place to re charge. I find all of those things here, made even better by the friendship of the owner and his 2 adorable rescue dogs. I always return home with a little sadness because I have had to leave, but feeling so much better for my stay. It is well worth staying up late to see the sun set over the mountains and to get up early to see some amazing sun rises.

This beautiful Casita is well worth the trip up the mountain .The pool and courtyard area are superb , private and relaxing . The villa has everything you need to make for a fabulous holiday. We had a wonderful week in August at Michaels lovely Casita. The villa is spotlessly clean and superbly furnished and kitted out with plenty of everything you need including inflatables for the pool. The elevated view is stunning and with the amazingly clean air, you can see for miles. Michael was a fantastic host living next door, always discreet but on hand when asked to offer suggestions for some great places to eat, hidden away in the hill villages. The beach was maybe 15 minutes easy drive with plenty of places to park safely very close to the sand and sea.If you are looking for a quiet retreat but within easy distance to more lively Denia, then you will struggle to beat this place.Highly recommended.
