We loved our time at Honeysuckle Hill. The house was perfect for our family - from grandparents to toddlers and baby. The location is fabulous and a really quick walk to the beach. House was really well equipped and we made use of the BBQ and highchair for the little ones, as well as the huge amount of toys for the kids to play with. The kitchen and dining area are huge and we spent every evening at the big table looking out to the beach - heaven. Already planning our next visit.

As we have had the good fortune to stay here year after year we are enormous fans of this large yet cosy house which has been further improved over the years - with new swing outside games room inside and noted new bins. Recycling easier, new stove in lounge which burnt very well and long!
Flexible arrival time meant we were in soon after 1pm!
Noted a problem with freezer, downstairs shower and have informed owner.
Two weeks one with families and second week just two of us …bliss!

Restorative!
Another awesome holiday here! Enjoyed its peace, vista and ever changing sky and sea - awesome! The garage conversion into a wet/games room is lovely and a new addition this year, with underfloor heating which helps dry wetsuits out more speedily; the closeness to beach, coast path and Polzeath make it a brilliant find and nestled into the cliff in the quieter part of this location is a blessing, long may that last! We will be back again and again we love it so much! Thank you to Carrie and Bryony for making it possible and so amicable and willing with last minute requests.

Gorgeous house with lovely view
The house is absolutely lovely and would work just as well for two families staying together. The view of the garden and the sea is beautiful and you can see it from almost all of the rooms. The kitchen is spacious and inviting and the open plan layout is ideal. It’s also very convenient for returning from the sea as there’s an outside shower by the laundry room door so you don’t get sand everywhere. The house is very peaceful and quiet and minutes from the beach.

Honeysuckle cottage was a fantastic find. It was in a perfect location to walk to and from the beach and shops without needing to move our cars. We could see and hear the sea from the house and garden which was so relaxing. As a result we stayed in the garden and enjoyed being by the coast without having the COVID risk of sitting on the busy beach. The cottage facilities were excellent and all in full working order. Everything we needed under one roof and more. It really was a home from home. Carrie and Bryony were very responsive and supportive during the booking process which was trickier than normal due to COVID uncertainties We would definitely go back and recommend this property highly

Fabulous family holiday
We had a superb time - great house, really well kitted out with toys, comforts, kitchen bits and a big garden with its very own rabbit!
The view from the house is fabulous, a short little path to the beach and town or straight into the SW coast path. Love the extension too.
Excellent- thank you

Perfect beach-side holiday house
Just spent 2 weeks at this lovely house. For our purposes - Mum & Dad, 3 teenagers all with a friend - it was faultless.
House is perfect - plenty of bath / shower rooms. Lovely sitting room, great kitchen with top-end appliances, practical utility / wet room for surf kit. Great view of sea / beach, great outdoor space for sunny weather, but house works equally well in Cornish rain.
Proximity to the beach joy for everyone
Blissfully happy parents, teens and dogs in lovely fully enclosed garden.
Will definitely come again :)
Many thanks Carrie and Bryony!

Absolutely Fantastic Home
Wow!! One amazing house, everything you would ever need for a home away from home.
Beautiful home, beautiful setting and surroundings nothing too much trouble for the host.
We have had the best week exploring Polzeath.
The best holiday let we as a family have ever stayed in, lovely and clean and tidy and just absolutely beautiful.
So much for my toddler to do, the garden swing was her favourite along with the beach just a walk away.
Would highly recommend to all, a remarkable place.

Awesome, with views of the sea from kitchen/diner and first floor bedroom!
Such friendly and welcoming texts shared with Carrie, and all needs attended to before we arrived, even those services not normally provided like wood for fire and laid up ready for us from day one!
When you walk in the open fire and sitting room are so cosy and then you round the corner toward the kitchen and wow, that was the reaction of our other guests everyone of them...a great start to the holiday and there was still more to come in terms of the double bedroom with a spectacular view of the sea from the bed out of a double door, Juliet balcony? Hot shower outside, with a drip area strung up between basket holders , and next to that the garage which was an excellent room for dripping wetsuits before using the adjoining wet room (also with shower and WC) to dry and warm the wetsuits for the next day. The garden provided a lovely vista in its own right, then add in a sea view where the sunsets looked amazing, sitting in a cocoon swingseat after a hard days body boarding, just perfect.
And on went the list of ticks against our criteria of what makes a perfect house in Polzeath, with access to the footpath to the beach at the bottom of the garden meant within minutes we were on the sand! Steep walk both ways but certainly manageable for all able bodied on foot, just take it slow!
Extras were the underfloor heating, just so nice on tired feet! Ability to store bikes, boards and recycling without taking over the house and access areas; the ability to have a private space for quiet reflection or be in amongst the hurly burly social area simultaneously was great and met everyone's needs.
Being able to get in early as a trade off for beds not being made up is an excellent benefit, lucky for us we were provided with both, thank you to the cleaner for that lovely surprise, not possible ordinarily but we were fortunate on this occasion. Being able to access the property as room as we arrived was an extra boon especially as we travelled from 0330hrs from Manchester to avoid traffic!
We will be back!
Ps a few extras that might assist chefs deliver in the kitchen: sieve, nonstick frying pan, scone cutter, but otherwise excellent facilities!

Cosy, comfortable house.
Our family of 6 stayed at Honeysuckle Hill in Sept. The house is definitely an above average holiday let.It is in a very quiet area and about a five minute drive from Polzeath and it’s lovely beach. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. It is very warm and cozy and the view from the stunning sun-room is fabulous. We would stay again in a heartbeat. If we had a complaint it would be that we had to make up the beds and we have never come across this in all our years of renting holiday homes. Nevertheless we would highly recommend this house.

Fantastic house in a great location. We had an amazing family holiday.
The property is located about 100 yds from the beach down a footpath. The location was ideal for our family with teenagers and older children who could come and go independently to the beach, or pop back if they had forgotten something etc. The property itself is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor shower, then through the warm garage/utility to the indoor wet-room is a really good set up for soggy children! The kitchen/ dining/ living areas are great and we never felt that we were all on top of each other - plenty of space to be together or leave the children having an intense game of monopoly in one area whilst we were in another. We have been to Polzeath before and love the place and surrounding area. I would definitely recommend the butchers at Rock which is outstanding. Also one of the recommendations from the owner was the restaurant at the Port Gaverne Hotel which was amazing. We liked it so much we went twice. All in all a fantastic place to stay both in terms of location and the house itself.

An excellent holiday location
This was a brilliant holiday in a superb location. Handy for the beach, cliff walks & the village. The house is well maintained with everything we needed provided. The owners were helpful both when booking & with information during our stay. Polzeath has several good eateries & the SPAR shop is very well stocked. Highly recommend!

Superb house for a family
The house did not just live up to our expectations - it was even better! It's a lovely house for a family - 3 generations for our stay. There's loads of living space with a roomy lounge, kitchen and the orangery. It's really well equipped - far more than the bare minimum. The garden is a great space for youngsters to enjoy. The owner clearly cares for the property as her second home and looks after it well. Our contact with the owner has been very efficient and helpful. We would certainly recommend the property - in fact other family members who visited us while we were there are interested in booking it for themselves!

Wonderful stay!
We have the most loveliest of weeks with three generations of our family. The house is amazing with the orangery, extremely comfortable beds, equipment in the kitchen and utility room with the buckets, spades and windbreaks, access to the beach which is literally a 5 min walk and, of course, the view, which is spectacular. The sunsets have been pretty amazing too. We cannot praise this house enough and we would love to return next year to visit more villages and enjoy the house and beach again.

February Half Term at Beautiful Honeysuckle Hill
This was our first time at Honeysuckle Hill but we've been visiting Polzeath and the surrounding area for many years. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and spacious with amazing interiors; it's very well equipped and has a lovely garden. It has a great ambience and we felt instantly at home. The view is fantastic and the walk down to the beach and Polzeath is perfect. Carrie and Bryony looked after us extremely well and sorted anything we needed very promptly. We would most certainly book Honeysuckle Hill again and would highly recommend it for a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Very sad to leave but we'll be back!

My brother and I had a wonderful week during the half term holiday with our children. The location offers sea views, ideal for checking the tide and waves in preparation for our daily bodyboarding visits and a quick journey down to the water - just a couple of minutes away via the garden gate. (Be prepared for a very short, uphill walk on the return journey.) The house was, genuinely, a home from home. We particularly liked the layout of the building with large patio windows facing the coastline and the utility room/ garage (heated) which allowed for drying wetsuits inside, on cooler days. The large garden and patio was a suntrap during our stay. Quite understandably, the owners have decided to build an orangery onto the kitchen this November (2016), which will be a marvellous room from which to enjoy the sun, sea views and visiting wild rabbits. The beds were very comfortable, which, coupled with the silence and darkness of the nighttime, afforded a wonderful night's sleep. There is also a piano in the living room, which I don't think is mentioned in the house's itinerary, so this was an additional bonus: my son and I enjoyed playing throughout our stay. There was certainly enough room for our group of five, on the sofas and around the enormous kitchen table. There were plenty of crockery, glasses, towels and tea towels. The fridge-freezer was huge and stored the vast majority of our weekly shop. We probably could have done with a larger kitchen cupboard in which to store other food items, but this wasn't an issue as there is plenty of work surface space. Just one point to note, if there are a number of people showering after a visit to the sea, keep the showering time brief, otherwise the hot water will run out for the others in your party. This happened to our group of five, so we limited ourselves to a couple of minutes each. The water did heat up later, of course. The rooms are heated from teatime, onwards and the radiators have thermostatic controls which allow bedrooms to be made cooler, as desired. We were blessed with fantastic weather during our October stay - lucky us! This holiday home is real gem of a place; I can understand why it is so difficult to find a free week to book! The family owners are very friendly and helpful and respond swiftly when you contact them. My family had a wonderful stay, we would love to be able to visit again.
