Villa Rosa es una elegante y encantadora villa de 2 dormitorios ubicada en una propiedad (Quinta) con sus propios jardines y piscina privada y vistas panorámicas sobre el valle de Vale Formoso. Vale Formoso significa hermosa! También hay una terraza cubierta con sombra (pérgola) alrededor de la casa y la piscina está cubierta en la tradicional calçada portuguesa. Los naranjos u otros árboles exóticos (como el mango) aguacates, granadas, higos, almendras, manzanas, ciruelas pasas, percimones, limones, moras, etc. etc, están a su alcance para hacer un delicioso jugo fresco cada vez que tenga ganas de beberlo. Los alrededores son de belleza natural y el lugar perfecto para escapar de la reclusión y la privacidad. Para descubrir la naturaleza o los alrededores, una hermosa iglesia, Senhora da Saude, o es genial caminar a lo largo del río Gilão (o Sequa) si eres un buen caminante, puedes descubrir el campo virgen donde encontrarás cascadas y estanques. La flora local es abundante con majestuosos ya veces centenarios árboles como el algarrobo y el olivo. Los almendros se ven secos, durante el verano, para florecer con las delicadas flores blancas entre enero y finales de marzo, o con los colores muy vivos de los naranjos y buganvillas en todas partes. En primer lugar, para confirmar que la estadía que tuve en Villa Rosa junto con mi amigo de la infancia las dos últimas semanas de abril de este año, ¡acabo de confirmar la impresión positiva que había tenido anteriormente de la casa, los alrededores y la encantadora ciudad de Tavira!
¡La paz y la tranquilidad de la casa, la proximidad a Tavira y las infinitas posibilidades de actividades en la costa del Algarve hacen de Villa Rosa un lugar de vacaciones ideal! ¡Realmente fue una de las mejores vacaciones que he tenido en mucho tiempo!

Have have just spent a wonderful week in Villa Rosa. The location was perfect. Close to Tavira, yet set in a beautiful, quiet, peaceful and private location. The villa had everything we could possibly need. Plenty of outside space to sit in the sun or shade and the sunbeds were so comfortable. The views were lovely and the sunrise and sunsets were spectacular!
We used Uber, but we tended to walk a lot of the time. There are some fabulous trails straight from the doorstep. Camnho Vale Formoso is on All Trails. We saw eagles, storks, vultures, kites, Sparrow Hawk, a Little Owl, Jays to name but a few. We also walked to Tavira following the lovely river and got an Uber back. Despite the walk being mostly on the road, it was straightforward and we were in Tavira in about half an hour. Most would benefit from a car, however, we like to walk and enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine in the evening, therefore we loved having the quiet space of the villa but being close enough to enjoy Tavira too. The ferry to Tavira Island was cheap and so worth it. The beach is lovely there with some great restaurants.
We have absolutely loved our stay. Dina is the perfect host. Great communication and she was so helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble.

Had a lovely couple of weeks in this stunning location, the villa was very well equipped and comfortable. Dina was very welcoming and we would definitely think of staying again.

The hosts were lovely, spoke Engish well and were extremely accommodating. The villa was rustic and traditional. It had everything we needed though. The linens were clean, the bathrooms and kitchen were clean. We would’ve liked softer beds and a little more luxury in the pillows, villa amenities, but we understand at this price point and countryside location, this is what you get. The furniture, both indoors and outdoors, along with kitchen equipment, outdoor cooking/eating area, lounge chairs, could all stand an update.
The pool was nice, just the right size for two of us. The gardens were wild and lovely, I continue to fight the urge to do weeding, tidying up, cutting back, etc. As a gardener myself can appreciate the amount of work that goes into keeping up with it. The orchard that’s attached provided beautiful fresh citrus, and figs.
It’s definitely off the beaten path, and very quiet. You absolutely need a car, which we had. Use the coordinates to get to it instead of directions, as Google and Apple apps had a tough time getting it right.

Staying here was a real treat. The weather was glorious and so we were able to enjoy the pool. Picking our own oranges to juice each morning was a wonderful treat.
The location and views were stunning.
The kitchen was well equipped but could do with a little tlc as a few drawer knobs were loose. However we really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Dina

This was our second time staying in Villa Rosa. We were there for two weeks and it is a special place. A well equipped villa in a very quiet and private setting surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards.
Dina, the property manager, is the best. She is lovely and was always there to help with anything we needed.
We highly recommend Villa Rosa if you are looking for beauty and tranquility for your next visit to Tavira.

Overall:
We had a wonderful time at Villa Rosa. The whole family enjoyed the setting and the peacefulness of the area. Everything we needed was already there and catered for. Having our own swimming pool, gardens, barbecue, etc. made the holiday so laid back but also so hard to leave :)
Location:
Villa Rosa is a lovely house located in the countryside yet so close to Tavira. The road to it is almost private so no traffic or noise pollution. It's very peaceful and you can watch the stars when the sky is clear. Having a car is essential but even though the location is very rural, it's only about 8 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket and probably around 15-20 minutes drive to the nearest beach. 45 minutes to the Faro airport.
Outside:
Both the villa and the gardens are well maintained and looked after so the first thing we noticed upon arrival was all the greenery and the variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. The whole estate is surrounded by rocks and trees so you get absolute privacy. There are many orange trees with lots of juicy oranges so you can make your own fresh orange juice any time of the day. While the gardens are huge and open there is also plenty of shade around the house or the swimming pool so you can sit outside and enjoy your food or a glass of wine any time of the day. The swimming pool was nice and clean so both ourselves and the children enjoyed it. The outdoor barbecue was also a huge plus.
Inside:
The villa is beautifully decorated throughout and it has this real warm 'homely' feel to it. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. It has all the appliances (and more) we needed to make our life easier and our stay more comfortable. The bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned and the windows have mosquito nets. There is a TV with lots of channels which we barely used but the having the WiFi internet was definitely a plus. All the essentials (towels, linen, washing up liquid, toilet roll, soap, etc.) were provided so nothing to worry about on the first day. The villa is also equipped with a house alarm and remote-controlled gate for extra security.

An excellent holiday, in a 5 star villa. The accommodation was superb, so comfortable, with all mod cons. Peaceful location, excellent swimming pool. Some lovely walks in the countryside, a car is essential due to location, but the villa is within easy reach of golf courses, beaches and the lovely town of Tavira. Highly recommended.

Inside, the house was very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Great bathrooms. It's quite remote, so you can't walk to restaurants or shops, but you get complete peace and privacy, with a glorious outside space.

We stayed for 9 nights at the end of August, 2 adults, 2 children. The villa was beautiful, very clean but also rustic looking. The pool was lovely for a cool down and the views were also brilliant. The villa was very private, a car is essential but this is what we prefer on holiday. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and the kitchen had all the essentials you would need.
Dina was the perfect host, letting us in at the beginning of our stay and showing us around and then leaving us to it with her contact details in case we needed anything.
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home Dina, it was definitely the best place that we have stayed for a long time.

Perfect villa for a relaxing holiday. We have stayed in several villas on the Algarve and this is our favourite. Extremely quiet with great views over the countryside. Good pool area, gardens with fruit trees and lovely seating areas outside. Very quick and easy to drive to Tavira with little traffic. Dina the host was very accommodating and we hope to return in the near future.

Our five day stay was just what we needed between several weeks of travel. But it was much too short! Dina was a joy to communicate with in arranging booking details, getting directions, and giving us tips about what to do in Tavira. The property is exactly as it is represented in the online photos and it was a very comfortable home for us to live in and relax for a few days. The view is spectacular, the location is private and peaceful, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We cooked our own breakfast every morning and enjoyed dining on the beautiful patio. We lounged in the sunshine around the pool in the afternoons. We traveled the short distance into Tavira every evening for wonderful meals in a few of the many inviting restaurants. And we often lounged by the pool at night with a nightcap to marvel at the stars. It was with heavy hearts that we left this beautiful place and we vowed to return some day. Thank you, Dina, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We hope to see you again some day.

Spending a few days at Quinta Mimosa is transporting us to a world of beauty, harmony and inspiration. Each room has a touch of sophistication and charm, which envelops us and transmits calm and comfort.
The outside has the same influence on our senses - tranquility, harmony, inner peace.
It was a rewarding experience and, perhaps due to the difficult times we are experiencing, even more emotional because we forget that there is a world out there that we don't always want to belong to.
The house is fully equipped and are ready to take 4 people. You can have your meals in the patio or at the dinning room.
The pool is huge and the space around it is fantastic, with some pomegranate trees.
All that is at 4 Km from Tavira center with all the restaurants and bars.

As the title suggests we had a wonderful time. The villa was everything we hoped for and Tavira is a very pleasant area to visit. We loved the 'Old Town' and had a number of excellent meals in local restaurants. The beaches were clean and easily accessable.Added to all of this we were there during the Tavira City Celebrations which was an interesting and colourful experience.Hope to return soon.

Great place but poor directions from home away saw us in a hotel on first night. Owner sent her gardener to lead us there next morning. House feels more like a home than a rental villa. Very relaxing break for four of us. Comfy beds big powerful showers. V peaceful setting. Tick all my boxes aside from the rather fraught time finding it to begin with.

We spent a week at the beginning of September at Villa Rosa. It is exactly as portrayed in the photographs & more! The Villa & surrounding grounds are spacious & very peaceful with wonderful views across the countryside towards Tavira. There is access to adjoining orchards where we regularly picked fresh oranges & figs. The Villa itself provided comfortable accommodation with 2 large bedrooms, both of which had excellent en-suite facilities. Although the Villa is well equipped we spent very little time inside as there is extensive room on the covered veranda for relaxing & dining. Everywhere, including the pool, is clean & well cared for.Dina was kind & helpful & quickly responded to any of our queries. We were only sorry we hadn't booked for longer & can thoroughly recommend this property.

We arrived very late in the evening , but found a welcome pack with some cheese , loads of oranges, fruits, cold cuts , wine , beer and water .That was the perfect welcoming by our hostess, was a short trip but nevertheless was nice to find something to enjoy al fresco ..We sat under the pergola with our light meal and watched the stars ad the cigars singing

Pp Best of all is the tranquility, the charming garden and the unspoiled surroundings combined with being close to restaurants, cafés and shops in Tavira as well as several good golf courses. During a couple of chilly evenings the fireplace added extra charm indoors. The kitchen equipment ( pots, pans, glasses etc. ) could do with a review and some renewals....We will definitely be back again!

We actually stayed in this villa twice. We stayed all of Feb. in 2014 and then returned for the months of Feb. and March in 2015. Needless to say we enjoyed it very much the first time or we wouldn't have returned. Villa Rosa is in a beautiful country setting about 5 minutes drive from the town of Tavira. It is on a quiet country road that only has one or two cars a day. There are many quiet roads for walking through the farms and orange groves with very little traffic. If you are so inclined it is about a 45 minute walk to Tavira but you really need a car if you live here.The villa is small, but comfortable. It has two bedrooms, each with its own en suite, a third bathroom, a kitchen with all modern conveniences and all of the utensils necessary to cook meals, and a small living room with a flat screen TV. The TV is hooked up to a combination CD player and VHS player. There is a library of old movies to watch. The TV does get some stations, mainly Portuguese, and SKYE and CNN news. There is free wifi available that is acceptable but not super fast. What makes Villa Rosa special is its setting. It is located in the middle of a 25 or so acre estate called Quinta Mimosa. There are orange trees growing on the estate from which you can pick the oranges for fresh juice in the morning. There is a covered patio outside the kitchen for meals and an old stone barbeque a few steps away. We often purchased fresh fish from the market and sat outside with our barbequed fish, vegetables, and a bottle of wine. There is an in ground pool that is kept spotlessly clean by Emanuel, the gardener, and lots of comfortable lounges for sunbathing or quietly reading a book in the shade.If peace and tranquility, a beautiful setting, and a comfortable place to live are what you are looking for this place will suit you. If being near the action and being able to walk to the bars and restaurants is more your style you should choose a place in town.
