Greve is Back!
This property is perfect if you want to have a place to come “home” to after touring. We have stayed here twice before and it continues to be our best pick on Vrbo to date. There is everything you need to be comfortable - if you are staying for a week or for a month like us.
The hosts are wonderful and helpful. It was particularly nice this year to be close to the square and the action there but safely removed from activity while at the apartment which was immaculate as always.
Everyone we encountered appeared to take COVID seriously in Tuscany and my concerns about traveling there were not founded. There was a rapid Covid test clinic in the center. A bonus since we were required to have a negative test before our flight home. It was great to be back in our favorite home away from home. Thank you Begga!!

I spent a fantastic days in this apartment. It is very comfortable, the situation is perfect and the communication was amazing. I was late in the night and they didn't have problem to wait for me and very kindly.
I reccomend 100% host in this apartment and if I come back to Greve in Chianti I will repeat there.

Great in Greve
One of our best VRBO stays ever as checked all the boxes...location was perfect as close to shopping and town center, well equipped property with everything we needed. furnishings were tasteful and functional and host communications were timely and efficient. Could not ask for more and look forward to our return.

No surprises here!
Totally enjoyed our Greve experience thanks to our rental. Perfect accommodation for us...spotless, every necessity to make us comfortable provided. Our host greeted us upon arrival and toured her facility with us. Plenty of bedding, kitchen tools, cleaning supplies provided. Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to markets, piazza, ATM, bank, restaurants, public transportation. Fabulous bakery next to apartment and cafe across the street for that espresso or cappuccino.
This apartment is on the third level which was not a problem for us. Nice little balcony with a bench where we would sit and enjoy our morning coffee or afternoon cocktail and people watch.
Great location from which to tour Chianti wineries. One day trips to Florence and Sienna. Overall our 17 day stay was a positive experience. Highly recommend this apartment.

The place was great and close to everything in Greve. Landlady was nice and all the needed info was given.
During our stay it was very hot (over +35C). The air condition worked in two rooms but in the twin room it got bit too hot during nights as the other cooler was shut down for a night. Showering was also a bit challenging as the head of the shower was not that good. Despite of these two things we enjoyed a lot there and can recommend the place.

Also, for excellent food, try La Cantina, a 3 minute walk away on the same street as the apartment. Be sure to meet Alessandro, the ristorante ‘s larger than life owner, who is likely to hand you a glass of wine when you arrive.

It´s a perfect stay when you want to explore Chianti by car, bike or on foot. The apartment is very well kept and all small details you apreciate as a guest is in place and thought about! Third time for us and we´ll be back.

Excellent experience
Everything was perfect, super clean and spacious apartment It has a big bathroom and the kitchen has everything you need. It is located on a walking distance from the city center and busing to Florence doesn't take more than half an hour. The view of the Chianti hills from this apartment balcony is fantastic. The host is a very nice person and very helpful on any of our questions. I strongly recommend it to anyone who visits the area.

Our apartment in Greve in Chianti was just perfect. It was beautiful, spacious and very nicely decorated. Greve is a very walkable town, the Resturants were wonderful, we never had a bad meal there. Greve in Chianti is well located, we drove all over Chianti. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you

Exactly as advertised and what we wanted. A comfortable apartment in a wonderful town.
This property is right in the town of Greve just a few hundred meters from the iconic town square. It is a home in every sense and feels like you have just stepped into a friends or family members place. It is exactly as advertised. We especially enjoyed the large windows that gave access to the wrap around porch, sunlight and views. There are a dozen or more opportunities for a meal out or glass of local Chianti wine without ever getting in your car. The walk is easy and flat. The stairs into the apartment were not at all difficult even though I had an injured knee and concerns before we arrived. They are level and wide with landings.
The owners were warm and welcoming. We felt that it would’ve been nice to get to know them better. Next time!
Our stay was a month long. Unfortunately we had unseasonably cold and wet weather which made it that much more important that we had the comforts of home. I recommend this property without reservation. The washer worked well, the kitchen appliances were easy to figure out ( without knowledge of Italian) the shower was hot and the sofas comfortable. And we loved the bakery that was right downstairs. Thank you Begga for everything. See you next time!

A beautiful appartment in wonderful scenery
We spent a long weekend in Greve and had an absolutely lovely time. The appartment is perfect with 2 large bedrooms and a big living space to accomadate you. Bergljot was wonderfully accomdating and had lots of helpful information and maps regarding the town and surrounding area...she even delivered a handbag that we left behind to us in Florence!! The location is great, just a short walk in to the town where you can findany lovely restaurants and the market on a Saturday morning. Would recommend the walk to Montefiore if the weather is fine as the views from there are sensational. Also do try the chianti!

Well-located
This was a spacious, lovingly decorated, clean apartment near the centre of Greve, with shops and restaurants within walking distance, even for my husband, who uses a cane. Bergljot writes that the apt is suitable for the "infirm," but be aware, North Americans, that the apartment is on what we would call the 3rd floor, a long staircase up, which wasn't a snap for any of us, even the younger couple we were with. Perhaps four of us taxed the hot water availability, but we on three occasions had to adjust the heater and wait for water to heat. If you plan to use wi-if, make certain you get detailed instructions--we were without wi-fi for much of our stay because of some confusion.
Don't, however, let these alerts deter you, because Bergljot's apartment is not only very comfortable, but both its amenities and location made us feel at home--a fine coffee shop and eating place across the street, a bakery next door, a grocer on the corner, a supermarket down the street, plenty of wine bars, and good (even fine) restaurants to choose from. The locale is stunning, with old and beautiful towns nearby to explore.

Nous avons trouvé l'appartement tout à fait semblable à la description faite dans l'annonce ; très agréable, spacieux, bien tenu et disposant de tout le nécessaire pour un court séjour. la propriétaire nous a fourni les renseignements dont nous avions besoin pour les courses et la visite de la ville et des environs. Nous avons pu garer la voiture dans la rue sans paiement.
Petit bémol, les petits lits de la deuxième chambre sont plutôt étroits pour des adultes , prévus pour des enfants.
Dans l'ensemble , logement à recommander.

Large,clean and character full.
The apartment was quite centrally located in Greve and was very comfortable and clean. The owner is extremely helpful and we had the feeling like we were staying at a relative's. All amenities were within walking distance and easy to access.

Greve in Chianti apartment
The apartment was spacious and spotless. It was equiped with everything that was necessary for a comfortable stay. During the first two weeks of our stay, the temperature was extremely hot and humid. However, the two air conditioners were able to cool the apartment very nicely (the living room AC during the day and the bedroom AC during the night). There was a nice bakery downstairs, a cafe across the street and within walking distance of everything in town. Lots of great restaurants. The owner was prompt and helpful in all matters.

Our home in Greve!
We visited Greve on a day trip 7 years ago. We decided to come back for a month last October. Bergljot's apartment became our 2nd home. We could walk to the butcher, baker, local and farmers' markets. The piazza was also within walking distance, as well as many restaurants. Our owner provided well-appointed and spotlessly clean accommodations. We enjoyed cooking in her typical Tuscan cucina, but she also provids the best restaurant recommendations in the ares. A car is essential if you wish to visit other towns in the region and the many wine estates. Parking is always available on the street near the apartment. There is no elevator, but there is a bakery in the building and a nice cafe right across the street. Also, the people of Greve are lovely and are very happy to help you with your Italian! We loved it!

Very satisfied with the accommodations.
The apartment was very roomy and extremely clean. It was furnished with beautiful antique furniture and the kitchen was well equipped, it even had ice trays. An American must. The location was on the corner of a busy street, two floors over a bakery, across the street from a great little deli and cafe. It was noisy during the day, but we were mostly gone. Everything closes about 7:00 so it did not disrupt our sleep. Accept on Friday and Saturday night things did get a little loud then. It was within walking distance of everything in Greve. It is also a three story walk up, could be tough for some.
