We had a VERY enjoyable and relaxing stay here. This townhouse is nicely-decorated and well-provisioned, encompassing four stories from its basement family room with bunk beds to its top floor room with skylights and pool table. The views of the cove from the living room and upstairs balconies were amazing. We often ate outdoors at either of the two patio tables to enjoy the scenery. Beautiful weather for four days straight allowed us to take advantage of the provided kayaks to explore some neighboring coves, as well as swim in the local cove. The neighborhood is also conducive to taking walks. We found the hot tub to be very relaxing, even when it was raining outside. Speaking of rain, there is no shortage of things to do if it rains. We made the trek up to the pool table room at least once or twice a day. That room also has shelves stocked with a variety of games for children and adults. The TV's provided a large selection of streaming options to watch as well. We recommend Tuscan Tavern and Blackwater Cafe for dinner, and the Ice Cream Cottage at Bridgewater Plaza for dessert. Property was just as described and easy to make ourselves at home. We typically go to the beach but this was a nice change of pace. Having the kayaks already provided was a big plus and simplified things. Beautiful sunset trips out on the water multiple nights was just like something from a postcard or a movie. Oddly in 28 years of marriage we've never vacationed at the same property twice but I could easily imagine planning a future trip that breaks that streak.

Family had a TERRIFIC time enjoying our vacation at SML. Home was wonderful as was the owner. We loved the lake, playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely will visit again!

The place was conveniently located to get to stores. My kids love taking the kayaks out and the fishing from the yard below the townhouse. The pool table was also a big hit!

This lakeside vacation home was enjoyable for me and my family. There are good amenities like the kayaks, hot tub, deck, grill and pool table. The home is very comfortable with a convenient kitchen, eating area and living room. Plenty of beds and space for several people. The home is situated with a great view of the lake and a nearby dock to swim off of. It is also located very close to Mitchell's Marina and within a short ride of other nearby businesses. Some areas of the home could use a little updating, but overall the home is very nice.

Our host, Terry, was friendly and helpful. The townhouse was very nice with great accommodations, easy water access and extra amenities (pool table, kayaks, hot tub, games and more). We all very much enjoyed our stay there last week, and highly recommend it.

The property manager was excellent, kept us well informed on what was provided and what was needed to make our stay excellent. The house was perfect for a family (or two) with plenty of rooms, bathrooms, and extra family space. Multiple decks that all overlook the lake were a plus! Neighbors were so friendly. The house included 4 kayaks with all the life vests and other floats to really enjoy the lake without spending additional money to rent! There were a couple lake beaches within 15 or 40 mins drive to spend the day with the kids. We also rented a boat for the day and had a blast. This lake community is such a gem, we will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd year going to Smith Mountain Lake and our 2nd year staying here. This place is perfect, we love it! There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. This place is always very clean and has plenty of activities for kids of all ages. The view of the lake is beautiful and has perfect access for jet skis and the boat. Definitely will be back next year!

Nice townhome. We are a family of 4, all adults. Everybody had a space. We love staying in places with kitchens! We loved the beautiful lake. We enjoyed kayaking. The property manager was great with getting back with us with our questions. Thank you for a great time.

We found this gem while looking at places to stay for a long weekend over spring break. We needed something that was fairly close to Lynchburg and we wanted something that was on the lake…we stayed Thursday-Sunday. This home was perfect! Terry was quick to respond to any questions from the very beginning! We arrived Thursday late afternoon and had taken the time to stop at a wal-mart for groceries before we arrived…please note that the nearest Food Lion is a 20 minute drive away. We were immediately impressed with the location and the view! The townhouse was way bigger than we anticipated and we were pleasantly pleased with the layout, furniture, and outdoor area! It didn’t take us long to get settled in and begin enjoying ourselves! The hot tub was a great way to wind down the evenings and we spent the days hanging out on the fishing dock and using the kayaks! When kayaking, be sure and go out to the left of the cove, pass by the next 4-5 coves and you will then get to the beautiful Mountain View and have a close-up view of the lighthouse!!! The water in Smith Mountain lake is so very clean and we enjoyed watching the fish from the floating dock! We did venture out a few times. I took my daughter on a horseback ride with Spring Valley Farm. It was a delight. We rented a deck boat from Mitchell’s marina (right around the corner from this townhouse) for 4 hours. This was a great time and it was really cool to explore the lake! And we went to HarborTown Mini Golf that is located on the other side of the lake. It is located in Bridgwater Plaza and there are quite a few shops, restaurants, and coffee & ice cream shops at this shopping center. This VRBO more than met our expectations. We love the area and are already discussing returning on a regular basis! Thank you Terry for offering your home away from home!

Really enjoyed staying here. Nice quiet area and a great location. Terry and his daughter were easily accessible and quick to respond to any questions we had. We took full advantage of the game room, hot tub and kayaks. Beds and couches were comfortable and main TV was nice and big. Yes we like a good sized TV for family movie nights! All in all a great experience!

This place was way more than we expected. It was beautiful. I want to go back in the summer or spring when we can actually enjoy the lake. The kids were nonstop entertained.

Our stay was everything we hoped for. The entire property was beautiful and perfectly outfitted. Spacious, comfortable, clean, and wonderful extras (fireplace, hot tub, pool table, kayaks) made it both relaxing and fun. The host went literally above and beyond to ensure everything was in working order and able to be fully enjoyed; we could not have asked for better communication and response. We would have stayed longer if we could and will return again if we're able!

It was just as they described it was big enough for your whole family but cozy enough just for 2. I’ve been to smith mountain several times but never stayed on this end. Beautiful and quiet and would recommend it to everyone

Everything was made incredibly easy by Terry. The blue binder provided offered all the information we could have possibly needed including restaurant suggestions. The hot tub was ready to go and very relaxing. Kayaking was very fun especially because there was a kayak that fit my 6'5" frame. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was good, all furniture was comfortable. Should we return to SML at any time, we will definitely be looking at this property again.

We had a great time! We could walk out the patio doors and be in the lake swimming, kayaking, or fishing. The view was also great from the main level patio and living space. We were just down the road from Mitchell's Marina and a great ice cream shop that had a ping pong table and other games our kids could play. Terry was a awesome host and was available if we had any questions. The condo was great for our family and we look forward to visiting again!

My entire family LOVED this rental. We were blown away by how much space we had and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved having the cove for swimming and kayaking (we managed to get our whole family of 5 out in kayaks provided!) The open kitchen/living area made it really easy to keep an eye on the kids and my husband grilled every night. It was nice to eat out on the deck and enjoy the beautiful sunset colors over the cove. The only downsides were having to bring all of our own sheets, bath towels, and beach towels and having to carry out all the trash. But those downsides were far outweighed by all this place has to offer. The photos don’t even do it justice. I hope to come back again next year!

We loved spending the weekend with our family here! The quiet cove was perfect for playing in the water while still being close to the marina. All of our kids from 6-18 yrs. loved the hot tub, kayaks, pool table and the beauty of the lake! Great getaway.

This was a family get away before our son leaves for the NAVY. We loved the townhouse, so much room, able to dock our boat on site, trailer parking, loved the cove for floating, and the kayaks in the mornings! We were very lucky, we had PERFECT weather the entire week!! Enjoyed the deck and coffee in the mornings, the grill in the evenings! We did not need or want for one thing while we were there!!! Hoping to visit there again!!!

The property was exactly how it was described on VRBO. The view was breath taking, neighborhood was friendly, easy access to the lake, kitchen fully stocked including spices, nice pantry that was unexpected and very roomy. Hot tub was an absolute great time of relaxation. We did not want to leave! We will be back!! Thank you Terry and family!

First time going to SML and we loved it. The lake itself was awesome and the condo and use of a boat slip made for a fun and memorable vacation. Condo was just as described or better. Our teen and young adults enjoyed kayaks, hot tub, and pool table. Was nice that we were all able to be together but had plenty of room and space to spread out also. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. From the cleanliness to the location and the owners ability to make our vacation stay loaded with all the amenities that made us want for nothing. The area is beautiful as well.
