Amazing views on the upper floor, where the kitchen and living area are. The kitchen bay window makes cooking, and cleaning up, fun as you look out to the intercoastal waterway over the marsh. We enjoyed watching sunsets on the lower deck, catching the beach breeze on the extended area. Plenty of beach provisions and toys in the storage area add to the fun of the short walk to the beach.

This was our second time staying this house with Saralee as our hostess. We love the location with proximity to beach access. The beach is uncrowded because the access is limited. The house is perfectly equipped for our wants and needs, with plenty of beach gear, games, books, etc.
Now that so many Holden houses are owned by rental companies, which can feel so impersonal and like they’re squeezing you for cash, it’s even more refreshing to bring our family to a place run by a family.

We had a great week at Holden beach. My parents, my family and my sister's family stayed together and we had just enough room for everyone and still personal space when we needed it. The house is well stocked with kitchen supplies and there were lots of beach supplies provided as well!

We really enjoyed our time at Holden Beach. First time for us and we lucked out with finding this house! It fit our needs perfectly! Enjoyed looking out over the marsh in the rear of the property from the large kitchen window and the access to the beach was across the street and a couple of house down. Perfect! Also, I have to compliment the host for answering all our questions and explaining everything so well about the house. Even gave us some recommendations for local restaurants etc. She was terrific!!!

The views were beautiful and relaxing, the beds were so very comfortable and the kitchen was the best stocked we’ve ever had. Saralee, the owner was really helpful and responded promptly when needed.

1. We drove up and down Holden Beach just to look at what was here. By far, the stretch of land this house is on is the best.
2. Kitchen sink window - absolutely stunning view of the marshlands. If only I could take this home with me . . .

We loved everything about our stay. The house is very well maintained and very clean. The host is amazing and very communicative and helpful. We have been coming to Holden Beach for years and this is one of our favorite stays yet. The house is well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils and pans, etc. The beds are all very comfortable and the layout is great. Highly recommend!

Great location, beautiful back porch view of the marsh. Access for beach a few houses down. Had some issues with the digital lock but SaraLee was prepared and had it remedied quickly. Lots of good beach supplies that you really don't have to bring much of your own! Would stay again!

Saralee's house is very nice, and the view off the back deck and out that kitchen window is awesome.
It is definitely better than your average rental.
The furnishings were nice, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. Our friend who did some cooking was quite impressed.
It was nice having a king bedroom upstairs and one downstairs as well.
I appreciated the little touches like room darkening blinds/curtains in the bedroom , hangers in the closet and the extra pillows, fresh kitchen sponge and even some laundry detergent.
Saralee thinks of everything. Working with her was a pleasure. She was responsive from the get go , and made sure to communicate all kinds of info to ensure our stay was a good one.
We would definitely want to be able to stay here again.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay in September. The host is very thorough, instructions are easy to understand. She even called to make sure everything was going well. The home was very clean, with spectacular marsh views and partial ocean views from the numerous well maintained decks. The kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds and comfortable furniture throughout the house. The view from the kitchen window can’t be beat!!The beach access was across the street, a few houses away, so convenient. 2 turtle nests actually hatched while we were there, very close to the beach access, but unfortunately we missed them both. Still exciting to know they hatched successfully, and enjoyed talking to the Turtle Watch volunteers. A beautiful home at a great location!

Our family loves to travel and have stayed at several VRBO homes. This home was awesome! The host was outstanding with a quick response to every question we had. That in itself is a blessing and gave us great vibes. Once we arrived at the house we fell in love. We had 6 people in our family and there was plenty of room for everyone! The house is beautiful and sooooo close to the beach. The views from standing at the kitchen window looking out over the marsh were breathtaking.
It was so nice to have beach chairs at the house and not have to worry about taking our own. We have found a new beach as we fell in love with Holden Beach and will definitely be coming back to this house! Thanks for letting us stay at your amazing house!

A lovely house with easy beach access across the street enhanced by carts for toys, towels, umbrellas, and a caddy that carried four beach chairs. (The store room has almost everything - you just need to bring beachtowels!)
Though we love the beach one of the highlights of our trip was the back deck overlooking the marsh. The photos don't begin to convey the beauty. Because Holden Beach faces south we had the unique experience of enjoying both the sunrise and sunset from the deck. It was the perfect spot to begin and end each day.
The huge kitchen window over the sink had a gorgeous view which made cooking and clean up an enjoyable experience. The well-stocked kitchen provided everything we needed.
The bedrooms were charmingly decorated and the beds were comfortable.
There was ample seating and space in the attractive upstairs living room/dining room. The downstairs sitting room was a nice bonus.
Saralee was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay.
I highly recommend this lovely house.

This was a great spot to stay, not too far from the beach access which made transporting the beach supplies easy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the house was very clean on our arrival. There was a great stash of beach gear including sand toys, chairs and games. The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly when contacted. We really enjoyed our stay!

Another great stay at Holden Beach!
We just keep coming back to this home on beautiful Holden Beach- Saralee is a great host- very communicative and responsive. The house is big- so our large family of different ages can all enjoy space and good sleep on different schedules (and great beds help too). The view is awesome- it looks over the marsh and the view from the kitchen and back porch is something to look forward to every morning and enjoy every evening. It is close to beach access - it is a second row house that is a very quick walk across the street to get to the beach. The whole family loved it (again)!! Thank you, Saralee, for a great week for our crew.

Great Location and Amenities
We spent a week here with our three adult children and two grandchildren. The house could easily hold more kids with the four bunkbed room. It's a great location with all the beach supplies you need. The beach carts were helpful in getting toys, towels and chairs (all provided except for towels) to and from the beach which is an easy walk. The sunsets over the sound were amazing and provided relaxing evenings. The kitchen was well stocked and provided so many things that we normally have to buy after arriving at a destination (like ziplock bags, foil, lighters) and cooking basics like salt/pepper and cooking oil. The area of the beach at the beach access is not crowded at all which was great. Great beds! Highly recommend!

Great House, Great Host
The house was perfect for our family trip, and Saralee was amazing to work with! She was really understanding when we had to change our plans and very responsive whenever we had a question. The house was clean, well stocked, and very close to the beach access point. We would definitely stay here again!

Ideal in every way!
The perfect location! For one week, we forgot about COVID and melted into the beauty and comfort of the beach and the gorgeous evening sunsets over the marsh. Our group did a ton of cooking, and we found every item that we needed: good cookware, plenty of dishes, all the standard gadgets (and then some). The space is fantastic for bringing together several families because the bathroom/bedroom set-up essentially creates 3 separate "zones". We would love to return next year!

Property description states: SECOND ROW W/ DEEDED BEACH ACCESS ; AWESOME OCEAN AND MARSH INLET VIEWS! The awesome ocean and marsh inlet views were amazing. Watching God paint the sky from the back deck and watching some of God's creatures living their life was just what I needed to recharge my soul. This home has multiple decks, plenty of room to enjoy family time together or apart, whatever mood you might be in. Every thing was clean and in well working order. The kitchen was well appointed. Not once did we need something that we were not able to find it. We always take our own beach chairs but the storage room had more than enough for everyone had we needed them. Saralee was an absolute joy to work with. She was very responsive to my emails or text. Saralee, thanks again for sharing your slice of heaven with the Cooke/Lord family.

Wonderful week at the beach
We had a great stay at this house on Holden Beach with family. Very clean and great set up with the floor plan for 2 families. Beautiful sunset views from the back porch and very easy access to beach. Very clean and has a stocked kitchen of everything you will need. Will definitely keep on our list for future stays at Holden!!

Long awaited vacation
It's been 18 years since we've been to the beach. The home was very accommodating for the whole family. Easy access to the beach and many family things we could do. House was well maintained and very clean. Most definitely will stay here again. Communication with the home owner was excellent and very helpful. Such a delight to deal with.

Wonderful vacation

Wonderful stay!
This property was everything we were looking for in a beach home away from home. The marsh view was incredible. Plenty of room for everyone. Very well stocked with everything you might need for your vacation-chairs, umbrellas, pull carts for the beach, games, etc. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond. Very short 2 min walk to beach via deeded access boardwalk. A wonderful trip in Holden!

Very clean and comfortable.
We had a lovely time with our family and grandchildren at Saralee’s nice home at Holden Beach. Well maintained and spotless home. Her kitchen had most everything we needed—dinnerware, utensils, cups, glassware, pots pans and bakeware as well as small appliances such as toaster and blender etc. and all made for a wonderful time with family. The most important was how clean and updated this home was. Thank you for your hospitality and availability when we had questions.

Wonderful getaway
The host Saralee was so sweet and helpful. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including a tea kettle. The house was very clean! The views of the marsh are great! You can see the ocean too!

Stayed for 7 nights in early October. House was nice, great location, and wonderful views of the marsh. Just a minute or two walk to the public beach access. Great host. Would rent again.
