Kinda hard to figure out how to ck in after hours

I showed up at 7:55 pm no staff on property. Was dark and rainy so I looked through the glass doors from outside and no one was there. So I called the number and left a message that I was on property and no one called back. I went to the Microtel motel and stayed the night of Sept 21st. 9:30 am Sept 22 nd still no call back so I called Basswood and spoke to Bob. Bob said he had already put me on no call no show because he says inside the vestaville between two sets of doors was my packet with keys and instructions for my room. How was I to know to pull on the doors and look for a packet? A courtesy call to me before they closed up would have been nice to tell me to look for a packet. Bob's manager got on the and she said well common sense would have told you to look for your key/ packet so take it up with Booking .com to get a refund. I asked her to just book me for Friday night Sept 23 Rd for the credit on my card. She said no take it up with Booking .com. so I'm now asking for my refund from booking . Com please help me. Thanks

Interior of room slightly rundown.

Poor lighting on bathroom.

The kids loved their stay and it was perfect for a small overnight to celebrate a 10th birthday. Lots to do to keep the kids busy and nice to not have to haul a tent!

The cabin we were given and the cabin that was booked were the same. Listing said 2 queen beds and the cabin only came with one. And member of the party had to go back and get a cot to sleep on. There was also not enough plates/utensils/cups.

I did not like where they cabin was within the park. Sewage pond out the back door.

We have family history dating back even before my grandparents were married here! We celebrated their 50th anniversary here years ago & still come to enjoy everything there is to offer! We love it!

The location and it was peaceful

The cleaning staffing was rude and very unprofessional

The staff there was truly one of a kind I only went for a day but I stayed as long as I could i arrived a stranger and in the end I didn't want to leave such the kind hearted people we met there

The location was nice and the amenities- pool, activities, pickleball court were all nice. AC worked in the cabin.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable, no one in my family slept well. There were ANTS EVERYWHERE. I've never been so glad to only be staying one night. Management didn't seem to care.
