We love staying at 19 on the Bay. The cottage is charming and the view incedible. Carol and Steve are so thoughtful down to the last detail: their warm welcoming greeting, the furnishings, the little touches evident everywhere. There are 2 seating areas inside and at least four outside, one with a fireplace. Waking up each morning to the bay, seeing and hearing birds, and the chaning tides makes me so happy. Comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and supplies. Perfect.

Carol & Steve were the best hosts. They were easy to communicate with. The cottage was beautiful and was stocked with all the extras. They were so thoughtful as to surprise us with flowers and cupcakes for our upcoming anniversary. The weather was not the best when we were here but we hope to come back to take in more of that amazing view.

The absolute best rental we have ever had! Clean, stocked with so many extras. Felt more like a spa retreat! Can’t wait to go back. Steve and Carol are the friendliest, most welcoming hosts we’ve ever had.

Carol and Steve are the most gracious hosts. The cottage is decorated beautifully- has anything you can think of ( even things you might need that you forgot ) you get to watch the river flow from the backyard with a glass of wine in hand. It’s just the most relaxing wonderful vacation. If you’re so inclined, you can go out back and kayak or walk on the beach. It’s central to so many different things -this time we just stayed and relax taking in all the beautiful surroundings- even caught a picture of a full rainbow:). See you next time!
Thanks again….

The hosts are absolutely top notch, and make sure that you lack for nothing. Perfect place to relax if you stay in, or to take off to explore from. This is our second year and we’ll be coming back!

This was my first trip to Maine and it did not disappoint! The cottage and views were absolutely GORGEOUS! The owners were so friendly and accomdating during out stay (they met us with flowers and cupcakes since it was our anniversary and my wife's birthday!). We loved the list of restaurant recommendstions since we were unsure of where to get good food. We also loved the outdoor fire pit and smores items provided, including hot cocoa (which even includef white hot chocolate, which I love since I don't like regular chocolate). They thought of everything to make guests comfortable and we loved relaxing there after a day of exploring the area. We will definitely be back!

The cottage is absolutely great, the location beautiful, and Carol and Steve are exceptional. Checking in, I mentioned it was my birthday. An hour later they brought us birthday cupcakes. We were supposed to fly out of Portland today, but my wife tested positive for Covid. Not only have Carol and Steve agreed to let us stay on until Monday – and maybe longer, but they delivered a "Colley's Covid Care Package to our door. A bad situation, especially for my wife, but wonderful folks in a really cool place made it as good as it could be. David and Diane Moore

This was our second time staying at 19 on the Bay and it was just as good as the first. Steve and Carol are great hosts and do a wonderful job managing and maintaining this beautiful cottage on Penobscot Bay. It is in a great location for day trips in the Mid Coast area of Maine. The setting is most relaxing and a wonderful place to get away from it all.

Our stay was just wonderful. Very quiet and beautiful. Location is also great and within close proximity to so many local attractions and restaurants. Our first visit to Maine was very enjoyable.
Thank you Carol and Steve for sharing your beautiful cottage!

Didn't want to leave. So beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Everything you want or need. Enjoy the eagles, loons, crane, seals and all the animals who love the ocean. Owners were wonderful. Sure hope to get back there again one day.

Our two week east coast trip was highlighted by our stay at 19 on the Bay. Carol and Steve were the most gracious of hosts and provided us with everything we needed and more (even flashlights during a storm which ended up not to be needed)! The location was midway between our activities in Camden and in Acadia which was perfect. We were greeted in the morning by seals and other wildlife and ended the days with amazing sunsets. Kayaking was fantastic as were the games by the outside gameboard, fire in the fire pit, and cozy days in the beautiful cottage. This is a place not to be missed :)

19 on the Bay was everything the listing was described to be. We had a very smooth check-in with the owners. The cute little house had spectacular views and was nicely decorated with comfortable furniture. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor space was beautiful and had plenty of seating for our group to enjoy the scenic waterfront. We would love to come back someday!

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We loved every minute: our hosts, the incredible view, beautiful cottage, all the thoughtful touches everywhere, sitting areas, in and out, and table with a view, all thoughtfully provisioned. Our hosts were extraordinarily helpful even when our car battery expired.
We visited towns from Stockton Springs to Stonjngton and Isle au Haut, and over to Belfast, had lovely walks and explored restaurants. We are looking forward to returning to this perfect, beautiful and relaxing spot.

Driving up slight hill to the cottage gave us a surprise. The wide open grassy vista of Bayview Drive appeared like a mirage! Penobscot River scene takes your breath away. Carol and Steve met us in their Uber golf cart for a free ride from the short walk to the cottage and helped with our luggage. :) Friendly smiles and warm hospitality made us feel at home. The meticulously clean and cozy cottage is well stocked with necessary pantry items and keurig coffee. We built a fire in the pit while blue super moon rose over the river. Linda had her first ever s’more. 3 nights were not enough. Kayaks were great. Thank you, We hope to be back. Rick and Linda

This "cottage" is a small slice of heaven! The pictures do not do it justice! The hosts were amazing - available when we needed something (although it was only more firewood) and nowhere to be seen the rest of the time. The home is comfortable, clean and has every amenity you can think of and more. The views are spectacular. We even got to watch a storm roll in which was pretty cool to watch. Although we didn't get to see any seals, we definitely heard them at night! We will definitely be returning!!

I can not say enough about our time at 19 on the Bay. Beautiful, clean cottage centrally located to visit nearby towns like Bar Harbour, Bucksport, Belfast, Camden. Restaurants recommended were awesome! Oh the view… there are no words!! Family enjoyed kayaking, bird watching, and just relaxing. Highly recommend

We loved our time at Carol & Steve's cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful, all the furnishings are comfortable and it has everything you need for a stay at the beach. Carol & Steve are nearby, helpful and available, all the while affording their visitors all the privacy you desire. The location of the cabin is one of the best. On a private drive, a small cove, near the entrance to the Penobscot River, its beauty, breeze, and water views astound. Watching the water and wildlife is something I will carry with me forever. The location is convenient to Bucksport, Belfast, Blue Hill and about an hour from MDI and Stonington. My husband and I stayed mostly by ourselves, but the 3 nights, when 2 friends visited, we had plenty of space. Visitors will not be disappointed. We are so grateful for our time spent there.

We truly enjoyed our stay at 19 On the Bay. The property was equipped with everything you need and more. They even provided the makings for s'mores including the sticks to cook them on. The owners, Carol and Steve, met us upon arrival and provided us with a tour of the property. After this they were available if needed, but otherwise left us to our own. The cottage was clean, nicely furnished and well organized. We ate in most meals since the view from the dining table was beautiful and was unmatched by most restaurants. We did explore the nearby towns and enjoyed some great meals and entertainment, including a sunset cruise on a schooner out of Belfast. We enjoyed the beach at the cottage which can be used even at high tide and did take the kayaks for a spin around the bay. We also saw a couple large oil tankers and a small cruise ship pass by during our stay that were interesting to see. While we sat by the fire at night, we could hear the seals "talking" in the distance and could see them resting on the rocks near the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing slow-paced vacation in a comfortable well appointed cottage, this is the place!

It does not take long after meeting Carol and Steve and walking through the cottage to understand why there are so many 5 star reviews for this cottage.
It seems to us that they have stocked and furnished the cottage as if they were intending to live there themselves.
The views are amazing and are even better than the pictures suggest.
Carol and Steve were very helpful and kind.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Carol and Steve are great hosts everything you could possibly need and more in this cozy cottage. The views are amazing! Wish I could’ve stayed longer. This cabin is centrally located to a lot of quaint little towns, Camden being my favorite.

Thank you, Steve and Carol, for sharing your magical cottage with us and for your special recognition of our anniversary. You are warm and gracious hosts who provided every necessity we could possibly need and then some. Time spent here has been medicine to our souls, and the peace and quiet were just what we needed. This immaculate cottage was perfect for us. We especially enjoyed watching finches at the feeder, the rambunctious chipmunks, harbor seals on the island, and even a bald eagle! Thank you for the many special memories we made at your “little piece of heaven.”

Carol and Steve were absolutely right to call this picturesque cottage a piece of paradise. We loved the amazing views, comfortable beds, hot showers, stocked kitchen, and cozy fire place. The provided s'mores supplies and toiletries were such a nice touch. We had a blasr going out on the water in the provided kayaks and seeing harbor seals and jellyfish up close. Also really enjoyed being able to walk across the beach to Sandy Point park for a beautiful walk in the woods. Stockton Springs and the surrounding towns were really fun to explore and the cottage was perfectly located for day trips to Acadia / Bar Harbor, Booth Bay, Bangor, and South Bristol. We loved our stay and hope to come back!

The perfect cottage! Gorgeous views, outstanding interior, and amazing outdoor spaces. What more could you ask for? Close to charming towns, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park. One of the best properties we've ever rented. Charming and communicative hosts. 5 stars!

This cottage was ideal in many ways - private with gorgeous views. Spacious open layout, decorated with an artful eye, clean and cozy. Within an hour of Acadia but out of the fray of the traffic and crowds of the tourist spots.
Steve and Carol have thought of everything. They give a warm welcome and are responsive to arising needs. We used this as a home base for days of adventuring and always looked forward to returning to the quiet comfort of 19 on the Bay.

We have stayed at many rental vacation homes in Maine and this one has it all. Located conveniently to main roads, groceries, gas, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The hosts, Carol and Steve, live within sight and were both so accommodating! We couldn’t have asked for more . Loved it!

The cottage is extremely well appointed and beautifully decorated. The host has thought of everything a guest could need and was there to greet us upon arrival and available for any needs we could have had. But we didn't have any further needs and just thoroughly enjoyed the views and our stay.

Repeat (four times?) visitor here: Book this property! You just might find yourself ignoring the other little excursions you might have wanted to do in favor of just sitting around the fire pit enjoying the sights and sounds and tranquility of 19 on the Bay. This "little slice of heaven on earth" will soon become your "home away from home" just like us!

As the title states, this was a very memorable vacation. This beautiful home affords guests the opportunity to just relax! Exactly what a vacation should be about! We did not need to do much outside of the home. Everything you need to relax, unwind and leave it all behind is right there for you and if there happens to be something missing, the fantastic hosts are happy to oblige. Thank you, Carol and Steve for your wonderful hospitality. We hope to see you again.

A perfectly lovely cottage with an equally perfect view. The hosts thought of everything to make our vacation so cozy and easy. Sparkling clean comfort and lovely amenities. We brought our own kayak, however the owners even supply kayaks, life jackets and paddles.

The property is even more beautiful than the listing! Our hosts were so welcoming and warm as well. The cottage is absolutely spotless and nicely decorated. The water access is great, the fire pit (complete with kindling and wood) is so nice. The hosts even provided all the makings for S’mores! All of the amenities you need for a peaceful stay, including a magnificent view! This spot will be on our list for top places to visit again!!

Thank you Carol and Steve!! I can not imagine having a more wonderful time…..the view is astounding, location peaceful yet accessible to all attractions like Acadia, bucksport, Bar Harbor to name a few. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and inviting We enjoyed watching the bird feeders visitors, the seals bobbing up for a feed, kayaking, and just over all total relaxation watching out over Mill Cove-a slice of heaven indeed. Beautiful Spot on the Coast of Maine!
I wanted to find a place that was close to all the special spots I grew up going to so I could take three new friends who had never been to New England on a tour. The four of us were in our 50's and 60's and absolutely loved everything about our stay. Carol and Steve were wonderful hosts who live right across the street but have created a beautiful, private setting for quests looking out over the water. They thought of everything, even fixings for s'mores and all that would be needed to build a fire in the fire pit out back. With plenty of kayaks on the beach below, it is easy to explore the Penobscot River from there. The first morning I went out for a paddle at 7:00 a.m. and saw 3 bald eagles fly overhead. Breathtaking! It was 30 minutes into Castine for two fun days of exploring. We experienced the House and Garden Tour and the Bioluminescence Kayak Tour at night under the stars. We had a delicious lunch out on the deck at Dennetts Wharf! Another day we went to the Celtic Festival in Belfast 20 minutes away and ended our stay with a two-hour sunset sail on the Schooner Charm - just beautiful! The house was a little tight for four friends, but we took advantage of the two comfy couches and spread out. During the day, the light poured in the view was fantastic! Really, a magical vacation spot! Thank you, Carol and Steve!

What a Wow!
19 on the Bay was like an HGTV photo op! The cabin & the pristine views were beyond our expectations. Our hosts, Steve & Carol, took that step beyond with the way they accommodate their guests. What a respite we had at our week at 19 on the Bay.
