Property was clean & great value. Didnt use pool but it looked clean. Marlene the property manager was very nice & approachable.

This property was very nice. The pool area was also just perfect. We were in town for baseball and travel time to the fields was awesome. Right by a lot of the important stuff.

Everything worked out so well with the location being just a block or so from McGregor & downtown. Publix was just down the street if you like to cook. First Watch, in the same complex as the grocery store, was primo for breakfast/lunch. The Edison/Ford estates were within walking distance as well as Pinchers where we had a great dinner. The Sunset dolphin cruise is not to be missed at Fort Myers beach. As for the cottage, well I can't say enough about it. What a deal! I loved the quaint feel of the house which is part of the older way things used to be in F.M. You get the feeling you're in someone's home with all the pretty decor & appointments. The pool is great, clean and a wonderful addition. I have to point out for smokers there is a temporary ban on the property due to the carelessness of some former guests. No grilling either which just makes sense on the lanai. All in all I would rate my stay a perfect 10, & fully intend to make this my home away from home. I'll be back in the Fall.

This home is very convenient to downtown Fort Myers, as well as the Edison/Ford estates. The backyard pool is refreshing and well maintained. Communication with the manager was very clear and timely.

We stayed for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. The location was close to downtown, the beach, and stores. The property was well maintained and the pool was fantastic. We had an issue with the television but it was taken care of after a few days. The property itself was spacious and I would recommend it to anyone . Thanks!! we had a great time and couldn't be happier, especially with the weather :).

Barra Villa offers very comfortable and cozy lodging close to the downtown Ft. Myers activity, Edison's Home and Garden and McGregor Blvd. We always enjoy our stay here and the people we meet. The Host and Property Manager are great!

Grateful to find a place for two weeks while helping our son rebuild their home destroyed by Hurricane Ian. Very close to Publix grocery and local restaurants. The coin laundry on site was convenient to use.

I made a last-minute trip to Fort Myers because of a family emergency, and Villa Barra turned out to be the perfect place to stay. It was located 15 minutes or less to every place I needed to be and there's a Publix within walking distance. I didn't have the opportunity to use the pool or grilling area, but Apartment Sanibel was even cuter than its photos and had everything I needed for my stay.

This property was very clean and offered just what we needed. The location was perfect as we were able to walk everywhere and didn't have to spend the extra money on cab fares.

Enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for our needs, near the riverfront and a short drive to the beaches. The landlord was helpful and attentive to questions.

We recently stayed here, while waiting for the birth of our son, through adoption. Super flexible as far as arriving early, and extending our stay several times. Property manager was so nice! They even had a welcome new baby sign for us! They went above and beyond for us. It was so sweet!

My biggest concern is all the electric cords in the apartment. Seems like it could be a fire hazard.

Die Villa Barra liegt wunderbar gelegen im Zentrum von Downtown Ft. Myers. Dadurch ist möglich auch mal zu Fuß ins Stadtzentrum von Ft. Myers zu laufen, welches sehr schön restauriert wurde und dazu einläd zu bummeln, zu shoppen und um essen zu gehen.Das Haus ist wirklich erst jüngst sehr toll renoviert und mit vielen IKEA-Möbeln und Accessoires eingerichtet worden. Wir hatten den Room Naples und können sagen, daß es uns an nichts gefehlt hat. Durch die freundliche Hausverwaltung hatten wir das Glück auch die anderen Räume zu besichtigen. Auch diese sind bezüglich Einrichtung und Aufteilung uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.Ebenfalls ist der Garten sehr schön angelegt, welcher zum verweilen einläd.Im Haus sind viele Unterlagen über Ausflüge etc. hinterlegt, auch ein Internet-Anschluss (WLAN-Router) ist vorhanden, um sich im Internet weitere Informationen zu besorgen und eMails abzurufen (Notebook nicht vergessen).Die direkte Nähe zum Einkaufen (Publix), zu Edison Home, zu den Stränden von Ft. Myers und Sanibel haben wir sehr schätzen gelernt. Am Strand von Sanibel hatten wir sogar mehrfach eine spielende und springenden Delfin-Familie gesehen. Einen Mietwagen sollte man aber auf alle Fälle haben (geht in den USA ja eigentlich sowieso nicht ohne) um Ausflüge zu unternehmen.Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist wirklich vorbildlich und unkompliziert.Es war ein schöner Urlaub und wir würden jederzeit wieder eine Wohnung in der Villa Barra mieten.

Die Villa Barra war für uns die perfekte Unterkunft für unseren Florida Urlaub. Die Appartments sind gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Von Kuchenbackform bis Fön ist alles vorhanden. Durch die nette und freundliche Art der Eigentümer und der Hausverwaltung haben wir uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Garten und im Whirlpool der Villa kann man entspannen, auch ein großer Grillplatz mit Gril steht für schöne Grillabende allein oder auch mit den anderen Mietern zur Verfügung. Die Villa ist sehr Zentral gelegen, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig.Zwei Einkaufsmärkte, Fort Myers Downtown oder auch Edison Winter Estate sind zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen. Wer keine Lust zum laufen hat, der kann sich auch eins der Fahrräder die für die Mieter zur Verfügung stehen ausleihen und eine kleine Tour durch Fort Myers machen. In einem separaten Raum stehen für die Mieter Sportgeräte zur Nutzung zur Verfügung.Die umliegenden Strände sind mit dem Auto schnell und einfach zu erreichen. In der Villa liegt ein Ordner in der viele sehenswerte Ziele von Fort Myers und Umgebung beschrieben sind, mit Wegbeschreibung. Wir sind viele der Ziele angefahren und es war immer sehr schön. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Villa Barra und würden immer wieder kommen.

Die Villa Barra erwies sich für uns (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind) als idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des südlichen Floridas im November 2009. Gelegen in einem ruhigen amerik. Wohngebiet mit fast verkehrsfreien Strassen und tropischer Vegetation, kann man schon im Garten der Villa entspannen (incl. Mögl. zum BBQ). Trotzdem sind es nur < 5 min zu Fuß zu zwei Supermärkten und < 10 min nach Downtown und zum Edison Winter Estate. Ausgiebige Shopping Möglichkeiten gibt es entlang der Cleveland Ave. (10 min mit dem Auto). Die Strände von Fort Myers Beach und Sanibel sind mit dem Auto in knapp einer halben Stunde zu erreichen. Dort ist für jeden Geschmack etwas zu finden, von Teutonen-Grill bis zur einsamen Bucht die in 5 min zu Fuß erreichbar ist (Amerikaner laufen nicht). In ca. 1 h sind die Everglades und verschiedene andere State Parks zu erreichen, die zu Boots- und Fahrradtouren einladen. Selbst Miami ist über den Highway 75 in gut 2 h nicht all zuweit entfernt.Die Appartments der Villa haben unterschiedliche Größen und sind neuwertig ausgestattet. Dank Ikea haben wir uns gleich zu Hause gefühlt, was uns bei der sonst in USA üblichen Vorliebe für Kitsch und Trash nicht so leicht gefallen wäre. Auch sonst haben wir in der Villa Barra nichts vermißt.Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern und der Hausverwaltung war unkompliziert und freundlich.Ein Auto sollte man am Urlaubsort schon haben, aber das gilt wohl grundsätzlich für einen Urlaub in den USA. Die Distanzen sind meist groß, selbst kleine Orte sind sehr weitläufig und der öffentliche Verkehr ist unterentwickelt. Andrerseits kenne ich keine Urlaubsregion, wo Mietwagen so preiswert sind wie in Florida, und eine Tankfüllung für umgerechnet 20 € ist auch fast geschenkt.
