We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay at Doug’s home this summer! There was plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. The WiFi was fast and stable enough for us to work remotely and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Doug had lots of beach toys, chairs and umbrellas for us to use, and the one block walk to the 34A beach entrance was fantastic! The screened porch with TV and seating was a favorite place to enjoy a breezy evening.
A couple notes for those considering the property- the living area is all on the second story, and you MUST be able to climb stairs to access it. Also, the upstairs bedrooms can get a little warm during the summer afternoons- but not overwhelmingly so. Also note, if you plan to bring a gaming system or something else to hook up to a TV, be sure to make arrangements ahead of time as Doug has a carefully organized (and robust) entertainment set up!

A group of life long friends looking for a relaxing vacation to reconnect and this home allowed for all 7 of us to be accommodated. The kitchen was amazing with everything we needed. The beds were comfy. The house was clean and spacious! We enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed the spacious living areas, the accommodating bedrooms and the great screened in porch. Doug was available when I texted him and the house was well equipped. Would stay here again! We stayed for 10 days at Sun, Sand and Sea for vacation, visiting family and to attend my niece's wedding in Charleston. The house is perfectly set up for family, with great space and the ability to have everyone together, as well as have separate spaces. It is extremely well outfitted and supplied - great kitchen and super beach equipment. Doug is a VERY responsive and accommodating host. While getting in and out of Charleston was quick and easy, the attraction and ready access of IOP's beach was the best.

Doug thinks of everything! Never have I booked a VRBO that baby proofed the house for me. The ktichen, bathrooms, and home basics are well stocked which made this rental even better. The location is a perfect, easy walk to what is now our favorite Atlantic beach (and we have hit quite a few from NC to the Keys). Beds are comfortable and the home is very clean. Our toddler loves thr Christmas decor! High praises to this vacation home rental. If we are back in the area, we will be seeking Doug's property again. Our favorite VRBO to date!

Beautiful property. Easy access to walk on the beach, walk to a nearby park and a short drive to any entertainment you could want. Plenty of space to spread out or all be together to watch football. Doug stocks this property with so many extras which is really appreciated. He quickly answered the one question we had and made sure we had everything we needed. We were not disappointed with this rental.

This house had everything we could ask for to make our stay very accommodating ! The screened in porch was perfect for our family gathering. The location was very convenient to the beach and stores. Doug, the owner was in touch should we have any needs or questions. Would highly recommend and would definately stay again!

This is the perfect beach house. Location is a very short walk down one block and across the street to the beach. If you are a walker you can walk to IOP from the beach and get some food, drink, shop...or you can make the quick drive. Lots of great eating options within minutes from the house. Speaking of the house, you are able to enjoy wonderful privacy on the deck or large screened in porch with all the trees and beautifully landscaped yard all around. Inside the home is very well maitained, clean and open. Kitchen is cery well organized and labeled with everything you could need. Beds were super comfortable. Lots of beach stuff in the garage for use. Would highly recommend for families or just a couple looking to get away like we did. It was perfect and the owner, Doug, was fantastic with communication and checkin and check out directions. Coulnt have been better!!

This is the first time we tried anything like virbo and for a vacation rental. I can say this was a fantastic experience. Doug was a wonderful host had everything ready for us as we found out we really didn't need to bring anything but clothing. And food as we needed it. It was very close to the beach and we had a fantastic time. Would rent this again in a heartbeat.

Sun, Sand, and Sea was wonderful! The house was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. It was well-equipped with beach necessities, a well-organized kitchen, plenty of towels, and even had coffee/tea available. This space allowed our 3-generation family of 5 have plenty of space to enjoy family meals and time together while also have some private/separate space at times. The beach was easily within walking distance, and the grocery store/other businesses within a short drive. Doug was amazingly available and supportive, including when my husband experienced a bit of an unexpected medical situation. We would love to return some day!

Doug was a fantastic host. The home is exactly as described and better. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, appliances, etc. The kitchen is so well organized with cabinets labeled, so everything is easy to find. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and beach wagons. And the beach access is 3 1/2 blocks away.
It’s perfect for a family vacation. The beds are comfortable too. Would definitely recommend and rent again.

Overall we had an excellent stay at Doug's house. Communication was good and we were able to check in early and easily. The house is very thoughtfully set up and maintained, making settling in easy. Takes only 5 minutes to walk down to the beach, and it's a short drive into the Isle of Palms downtown area with a good number of restaurants and shops. Charleston itself was even more impressive, and we ended up going into town so much that maybe staying there would've been better for us, but if the beach is a priority this property is well worth it.

5 ladies spent 4 nights in this lovely home. The house was spacious. The screened area was especially nice for talking outdoors at night. The house is about a block and a half from the beach, very convenient. And the beach was very beautiful. The grocery store is less than 1.5 miles from the house, convenient for picking up supplies. All in all a very nice experience.

The location was great. Close to public golf courses, restaurants and grocery store. The beach was a block and a half away. Great neighborhood to walk in. The house was clean and well supplied. We cooked several nights and plenty of room on the deck for dining out. We look forward to a return trip.

This was more than we expected. We were in walking distance from the beach but far enough from the traffic. Plenty of room for six adults and two young children. The house is very well kept. Had a great time.

Amazing Close-to-Beach house
5 minute walk to a beautiful, uncrowded Beach. All of the amenities needed for a day at the beach, umbrellas, chairs, beach wagon, cooler. House is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. Labeled cupboards make things easy to find. Instructions for all appliances. Outdoor shower, covered porch and deck in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. Loved it and would definitely stay again!
