The property was clean, well organized and the decor was lovely. The private beach was clean and beautiful. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. The property was in a gated community so it did take us some time to find the right community and get passed security at check in. Beyond that, coming and going was easy. I would absolutely stay here again.

The beach is right there and absolutley beautiful. Plenty of room to walk along, gorgeous sand, and shallow sandbar area.

Our place was fully stocked, clean comfortable, and it had a great location. The beach was just steps away the grocery store, a few minutes drive as well as a few good restaurants. It was everything we had hoped for and more and we will hope to return.

This was a really great place for us to land after staying on Vieques in a not as nice hotel. We loved how quiet and close the beach was to us. We enjoyed a day just relaxing and enjoying being near the ocean. It was so easy to come back and get food. The apartment is very clean and well stocked. They even left us a lovely basket of goodies in the fridge. Victor was super easy to communicate with and very helpful. And the deck! I could have stayed in this place for a week with how comfortable and large and beautiful the deck was. We enjoyed meals out there. I even did a little work from the deck, and it didn't feel like work at all. I wish we had stayed longer.

Stayed for a week in April with my two adult daughters and it was everything I had hoped for. There is a fan in every room, we didn’t need to use the A/C once. We opened all the windows and could hear the ocean all day and night. The place is immaculate, artwork stunning, and the beds and linens very comfy. The amenities were thoughtfully provided and included hair products, soap, q-tips, etc. We cooked, played games and enjoyed the large wrap around porch which indeed does have a pristine ocean view. The beach is large, not crowded and the swimming was phenomenal. I’m not really an ocean person but this one was clear and shallow - perfect for all of us. Easy access to Old San Juan, the airport, and best of all, the rain forest. But if all you want to do is just chill there, that is more than enough! Already looking for a future date to bring my husband. The only disappointment was the overly hyped restaurant, Terrazza Montemar. Food was horrible, waitress was quite miserable, ambiance lacking. Skip it! Go to Richie’s instead. Other than that, can’t wait to return! Thank you Victor and Dora!

Rio De Mar was the perfect place to stay. Victor’s condo was clean, well stocked and so conveniently located to a beautiful beach (just steps away), grocery store and good restaurants. You could walk for miles on the beach and the waves were so fun to play in. We would definitely come back!!

This condo exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, clean, and well appointed. It’s a short walk to the beach that we usually had completely to ourselves. Kids played on boogie boards in the waves. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze and the soothing sound of the waves. Short drive to great good and el Yunque

Our stay was amazing! Our host Victor was great, very helpful and responsive when needed. His home is very comfortable and peaceful. The perfect proximity to the beach and pools. We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning and watched the beach and ocean while we ate. We were only 15 minutes from El Yunque and 35 minutes from the airport. It was the perfect vacation!

This condo definitely deserves the awesome reviews it has received in the past. My husband and I loved staying here and having our meals in the balcony with the sound of the waves as a lovely background. The unit was extremely clean, well appointed and there were so many details and touches that speak of a carefully prepared place for guests to enjoy: a well supplied kitchen, lots of linens and towels, toilet paper ends folded in triangles and stamped, Q tips and cotton balls in the bathrooms... I could go on and on. We were welcomed with a lovely basket of wines and snacks and there was a bag of local coffee and sweeteners nicely presented on a clear glass tray. We had plenty of room to enjoy, it is very spacious. The beach is very private and we enjoyed long walks. There are 3 pools to enjoy and the grounds are very well kept. We highly recommend dinner at La Estacion in Fajardo, where we ended up after being denied access to El Conquistador (restaurants are for guests only, which we found annoying). We certainly hope to return to this beautiful area and awesome condo. The best we have stayed at so far.

This lovely property with a balcony overlooking the beach is on a gated community, close to El Yunque Rsinforest and adventures such as zip lining or kayaking in the bioluminiscent bay after dark. Also perfect for just chilling at a beautiful beach . Host Victor is very helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. Highly recommend this as your PR vacation choice.

Victor and his spouse are 5-Star Host/Hostess!
Check-in was seamless and Victor allowed us to enter the property upon our commute from the airport. The property is quite charming with several personalized art throughout, apparent new kitchen appliances, immaculately clean and receiving. The beds are quite comfortable and the family room, where our family (4 members) gathered during the evenings, has a large TV with the most comfortable lounging furniture! I must state that although it was very hot during the evenings, I truly enjoyed the lanai; beautifully decorated and just the perfect setting to sip wine and enjoy the scenery of the private beach and be ‘kissed by a cool breeze’ ever so often. You will need a vehicle: we were 20 mins from El Yunque Rainforest Junglequi Zip Line, 20 mins from the Surfing Puerto at La Pared Beach Luquillo, and 45 mins (1.20 hrs with AM traffic) from Stand-Up Paddleboard on the Condado Lagoon in San Juan and touring Old San Juan ($10.00 per person covers both museums) by Foot…we were celebrating our oldest daughter’s B-Day…had a blast! Victor and his wife were so kind; checked in to ensure all was going well and also left us a wine and cheese basket. This property is as listed and splendid for family/friends of 4.

Very close to the rain forest and the beach is on the property.
Went to the Wyndham for dinner, just drive up to the gate and tell them you are going to eat in their restaurant. Was able to get a late check out as our flight was in the afternoon. The property is very quite and clean!

Clean and nice apartment. Owner responses to queries were timely. He made sure our stay was comfortable and smooth without any issues. Bed and Sofa were comfortable. It might be just us, but only thing we would have preferred is to add little more lighting in the living room to brighten it up. However Ocean View from Balcony and kitchen window is amazing so we enjoyed those by spending more time in balcony.
Also, just to note the property is on 3rd floor with no elevator. It wasn't an issue for us but might be for some who have difficulty climbing the stairs.

Beautiful Beachfront Apartment - Great Location!
This was our first time visiting the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and Victor's home was the perfect place to stay! Victor's apartment is spacious and he thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We sat on the porch every morning and had our coffee overlooking the water. We walked on the beach, felt safe in the water, and enjoyed swimming in the pools too. Victor's place is also in a convenient location for exploring - swimming with sea turtles in San Juan, Old San Juan, the bio bay in Fajardo, El Yunque National Rainforest are all a short drive away. I'd also recommend the C-Note jazz club just down the road in Luquillo and Finca Don Manuel tropical fruit farm in Santa Isabel. A bit of a drive, but our favorite tour by far. Communication with Victor was great! I highly recommend Victor's place if you are visiting Puerto Rico!

Absolute Perfection!
This condo was perfect for our family. Great location near the rainforest and Luquillo. The complex was quiet and secure. The beach was heavenly! And eating on the balcony, listening to the waves, hearing the birds ... it was just the break we needed from our snowy Minnesota winter. Victor was an excellent host. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

Everything about this place was perfect. The beach is just steps away and stunning. House has chairs and boogie boards - no need for umbrellas because there is ample shade on the beach. Location was central to all the activities we wanted. Beds were comfortable, ample linens, kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Grocery stores just a few minute drive away. *Car is necessary* . Cannot wait to book this again!

Great as advertised
The condominium is beautiful, tastefully decorated,
absolutely pristine, and with all the amenities that you
will ever need.. The view out of the balcony is
breathtaking. The postcard beach is great for
early morning walks or some fun in the sun.
The owners were very understanding of the special
needs of my family. They treated us with utmost
respect. I appreciate that. I absolutely highly recommend
this place to any one trying to get away to a place

Rio Grande Beach Paradise
Beautiful 2BR beach condo. Literally steps to an incredibly beautiful beach, which we had mostly to ourselves. Just a couple of miles from the Luquillo Kioskos, El Yunque, and Luquillo Beach. The condo was super clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Third floor, so very secure. Great balcony looking out to the beach. So peaceful and serene! Good wi-fi. Beautiful complex with pools and tennis if you want it. Children's playground. Victor was unobtrusive but on top of everything, leaving snacks and wine for us (we don't drink, but it was a very nice gesture!). We hated to leave. Cannot recommend it highly enough! First experience with HomeAway, but it was stellar. No doubt going to do it again soon.

Lovely retreat
Ideally located for day excursions to El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, and Fajardo's bioluminescent bay. We had a great vacation without our young kids, but this would be a nice place to stay for a family as well. The view from the balcony alone was worth it!

Highly recommended. Great view on outside balcony. Comfy beds. Everything you need - beach towels, beach chairs, normal kitchen things, etc. Beach is great - you can walk and walk and walk. Host was great with local restaurant recommends and things to do. Check in and out was easy. All was perfect!

Beautiful apartment!
Victor was a great host! We had a welcome basket when we arrived to the condo. It was nicely decorated and with a nice view to the ocean. The area is very relax and with a friends and family vibe. The beach was not very crowed even though it was a holiday weekend. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Pre-cruise stay
We throughly enjoyed our 3 days stay prior to a cruise. The unit was clean , comfortable and well supplied for us as well a thoughtful gift basket from Victor. We really appreciated the beauty and closeness of the beach and we took full advantage of it every morning. Victor’s recommendations of restaurants were excellent choices. We have just one suggestion: TVs in the bedrooms. We would highly recommend a stay in this unit when traveling to PR.!

The "crown jewel" of Casa del Mar Resort!
Hats off to the owners -Victor Ruben and Dora! This was by far the best experience we've had! The condo was clean and well-maintained! The amenities were beyond compare and the view, my God, that alone is worth the stay! The location of the condo is amazing, just a short stroll to the most amazing beach I've seen in years! If you are looking for some respite this is the place for you! It is very private an quiet! The walks on the beach were stunning! Victor Ruben and Dora made us feel right at home! We will definitely be making another visit soon!

Beautiful and relaxing
I really enjoyed the relaxing stay. The condo was well furnished with a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach wasn't busy and had a friendly/family atmosphere. The local restaurants were really good and made friends with a local calico cat.

Amazing experience
Victor and Dora were excellent host’s. This place was very quiet and comfortable. A gift basket was even left upon arriving. The complex is literally right on the beach and is located next to some very good restaurants that offer more traditional Puerto Rican food. The location is about 5 minutes from the Carabali rainforest park where you can ATV, horse ride, go kart race. The apartment was spacious. It feels as if the the beach is your own as very few others were taking advantage of the beach during our stay. The communication provided by the hosts were excellent. Victor was more than willing to answer any questions and easied any anxiety I had as this was my first time in Puerto Rico and my first time using home away. I would recommend anybody traveling to Puerto Rico to stay at this property.
