I booked this property for my son/wife/grandchildren as a Christmas present. I actually went to this property and LOVED it! It was spotless, had everything that was needed for the week. I would rent again here.

We had a great time at this home on Howard Pond! The house looks like the pictures online and it is set up great for a rental (lots of storage, hooks to hang things, pots/pans in good condition). Our family loved spending time on the pond. The owners were able to arrange two additional kayaks for an extra fee, which was easy and convenient. You could spend all your time here or find adventures nearby (hiking, horseback riding, mini-golf, etc.)

This is a beautiful clean lake in the mountains. The cabin is 20 steps to the lake.and the views of sunsets are outstanding. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. A sweet, quiet, friendly lake experience.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. It is secluded but not too far from anything you may desire. We cooked a few meals in and went out to local restaurants too. Owners were great and very responsive.

Everything exceeded expectations! The views of the mountains across the lake and Fall foliage were breathtaking. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and had everything we needed.
We enjoyed a campfire by the water every evening, toasting marshmallows, making s’more and taking in the beautiful sunsets.
Our hosts, Tracey and Paul, were great! They made sure we had everything we needed and also made suggestions for local places to visit.
We look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful little cabin on a very nice little lake. Great swimming spot for the kid right off the grass/dock, out to the island of rocks. Would love to do it all again.

Pretty property location
Although the location is lovely, the second bedroom twin beds are thin, worn, and need replacing. This put a damper on my time at this location as preapproved family was not able to stay. On a positive note, the property location is very pretty. The Maine Gem Museum in Bethel is very much worth a visit.

Peaceful family getaway
We had an amazing time during our stay my son absolutely loved being by the water he couldn't stay out of it, it was very relaxing and nice to get away from our daily lives. Had to cut the trip short due to a family emergency back home but will hopefully return soon. Highly recommend to friends! Fingers crossed next time we spot a moose! Thanks for the great suggestions

Beautiful location!!
We stayed at the cabin in October and the view is incredible! It is right on the pond so easy access to kayaking/boating. Short ride to hiking trails for any age/level, with gorgeous views! Cabin is beautiful and very clean, and I am really picky about cleanliness! Tracy and Paul are great hosts and quickly respond to any questions. Would gladly stay there again!

Peaceful Getaway
Wonderful cabin in a very quiet, peaceful setting. The cabin was exactly as described and had everything we needed for our stay. It was centrally located to make it easy for exploring Maine's western mountains & lakes. Although we weren't physically able to enjoy many of the water activities available, we did enjoy just sitting by the lake and taking in the beauty of the setting. We would highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a place to de-stress or just "chill out". Thank you,Tracey & Paul, for sharing your little peace of heaven with us.

Beautiful little lakefront cabin. Enjoyed hiking and biking nearby, canoe rides and swimming in the pond. Read on the dock and watched a mother Loon and her baby. So much peace here. Owners are very nice and close by.

Break from the World
My wife and I are both educators. We traveled to the Howard Pond cabin with our two teenage children to take a break from a long year of teaching in a pandemic. The cabin and amenities were on point! Could have used another fan for the extra bedroom as a heat wave hit the last couple days, but overall it was an awesome stay! We day tripped into Freeport and up to Screw Auger Falls. Great time had by all!

We came for a quiet relaxing get away and that is exactly what we got. Our Cabin was cozy and comforting. Howard pond is lovely. Great for kayaking. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Super clean and well supplied. We'll be back!

A Remote Thanksgiving
My daughters and I decided to get away from our home and to celebrate Thanksgiving at this beautiful cabin. Probably one of our most memorable moments was the gorgeous view from the room that faces the lake. The sunrise on the water is breathtaking with a cup of coffee.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We so loved our getaway to this small cabin on Howard Pond. It is a beautiful and quiet setting with excellent walking around the pond. The cabin is set up very efficiently with updated appliances, wonderful views, and plenty of space, despite the modest square footage. We loved all the hiking and nature walks nearby. Beautiful cozy cabin in the woods by a lake... What's to hate???!!! My fiance and I had a great time! A little nippy but we took advantage of the weather to stay inside and relax. Amazing sunsets every evening. I can't say enough. Just an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature.

Had an amazing week at this property! The house was pristine, and had everything we needed - including a canoe. The location itself was wonderful - close so many areas to go hiking and waterfall / swimming hole hunting :) Loved just sitting on the dock enjoying an adult beverage (or 2), watching the spectacular sunset and the family of Loons swim around.

Perfect lake cabin
What a lovely cabin on the side of one of the nicest ponds/lakes in Maine. Crystal clear water, sandy walk in shoreline, loons and the best seating on the lake for sunsets. Our kids had a wonderful time swimming, paddling and fishing. There’s just one canoe available with the property so we brought our own kayaks and SUPs. The cabin is spotless and very comfortable. It just has a really nice feel that makes you want to stay they whole summer! The owner lives right next door and is very responsive to questions/ needs.

Relaxing stay on quiet pond
This beautiful little cabin is just as described. Howard Pond is so peaceful, up a mountain road. The cabin is very well equipped for a comfortable stay. Bethel has some decent restaurant choices, but we actually stayed in most of the time. We didn't want to miss the sunsets. Check out Grafton Notch Park.

This place was everything we could have hoped for! Beautiful and comfortable and clean house on a gorgeous big clear watered pond. Tracy was super communicative and helpful. And there’s lots of fun stuff to do around the area: hiking and dining. Would definitely recommend. Perfect spot!
