This top floor apartment in an ancient Alsatian house is incredibly beautiful. It’s full of character AND comfort. Wonderful furnishings, quality linens and really tasteful decorative touches that give the apartment a sense of place and history. The owner, Bertrand welcomed us warmly and showed us around his gorgeous apartment which has been lovingly and carefully restored to retain its original roots whilst providing modern comforts. Wonderful location in a really pretty town which is a quiet and perfect base for exploring surrounding areas. Easy street parking. Perfect! Bertrand and his family should feel rightfully proud of the work they have done to make this apartment (and another one on the floor below) so special. In winter, a lot of the restaurants and cafes in the area are closed. Hunawihr has a little shop that sells bread and other essentials which is open from early in the morning until about lunchtime.

Fantastic, romantic, special place to base ourselves whilst exploring the Alsace. Attentive and friendly host for whom nothing was a problem. Thankyou Bertrand!
