Absolutely wonderful home. Well stocked kitchen, nice wood-burning fireplace, comfortable beds, beautiful views, great communication with owners, private but close to town and Okemo.

This beautiful chalet nestled on Hawk Mountain with views of Lake Amherst feels like we are home. This was the third time. The Host are so accommodating by answering questions, supporting with some needs for our grandchildren and suggestions of places to visit. By far the best stock kitchen of all the VRBO rental I have used. If you are looking for quality time with family or take on Okemo or Killington, I highly recommend this home. We will definitely rent again in 2023.

The property needs maintained. Floors are all scuffed up (need refinished), dust hanging from ceiling fan and ceiling, dust on window ledges at fireplace. Accumulating odd pieces of furniture, some broken (desk chair). Ovens and toaster oven need cleaned. Recliner doesn't go down. Accumulation of used candles on mantle. No hand rails at commodes or tubs. Laundry room has stacks of bedding to be put away. When paying these rates a night I expect same perfection I would get at a hotel, where I can ask for refund or a different room. We've rented 4 VRBO homes this year, this was a disappointment. Location was great.

This three-story mountain home is a wonderful place for a family to have a retreat in any season we were visiting in the summer and the views were terrific The breezes through the house delicious and we just had a wonderful time The one caution is there are many many steep stairs and if there's any mobility restrictions for people this would be a difficult house but otherwise it was wonderful

The house was stunning from the entrance on. The living room you enter with it's gorgeous fireplace brings on the oohs and ahhs. For once there were plenty of bathrooms! Decorated for fun, functionality and style it was the perfect getaway cabin and the views from the balconies (2) take your breath away. Wonderful communication with the host and plenty to do for active types and just relaxing around the home. Stay and enjoy this perfect getaway!

We couldn't have chosen a better spot for our short vacation with our adult children. We hiked and kayaker, and never had to venture very far from Audrey and Howard's beautiful and spacious home. The kitchen was very well equipped, and we enjoyed our evenings there cooking in and playing games. Howard is a great communicator, and everything was super smooth.

A great experience the owners were very helpful with places to eat and go. The notes around the home were very much appreciated

Great house. Super clean. Lots of nice details that are not common in vacation rental. Audrey and Howard are very nice and responsive. We had a great time.

Our trip was a much needed break for everyone, and the cabin was perfect! All creature comforts were provided for, and we really enjoyed the generous space, the gorgeous view, as well as the fireplace and the many games that were played. Thank you, Audrey and Howard for being such accommodating, wonderful and gracious hosts!

This is one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed at. Very comfortable main area with large all stone wood burning fireplace(stocked with ample supply of wood). Beautiful mountain views from the large windows. Loaded with many games and books to help relax and pass the time. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to kook gourmet meals nightly. Two lower levels of the house had the 4 bedrooms, able to accomodate large family and still have privacy. Short drives to ski resorts. Awesome, I will stay here again if we come back to Vermont!!!

Audrey and George were very accommodating. The house is beautiful and has all the needed amenities. With many things like kitchen utensils, coffee maker, washer and dryer and more. They have many games to keep all ages busy if needed. They had the fireplace already set up with lots of wood to keep the fire blazing, which was a total enjoyment with the cooler weather. The living room is perfect with the views and lots of space. There is more than enough space for anywhere from 2-10 people to stay and maybe more. The views are very nice, overlooking the woods and lake in the background from the top deck, while the lower deck is quiet and comfortable. If you want peace and privacy this is the house. The ride from Connecticut is very easy, straight up 91 north with a calm drive through a few small towns, and the resort area is right up to the mountains with a crushed stone road. There are three lakes in the area that are pristine and if you like to take pictures, fish, or just bird watch you can have at it! We drove to the top of Okemo for some awesome views of Ludlow and the mountains. The ride is steep so be ready for some fun! Ludlow is close and there are many good places for food and groceries if needed. We totally enjoyed everything about this property and will look forward to coming again. My hat's off to Audrey and George for allowing us the use of their family home. We could feel the love put into this house and are very thankful for the memories my family will have for years!

This cabin was so cute! The entrance into the cabin and the views from inside are so enchanting, you feel like it’s just you in the woods. It was more than accommodating for our group of 6, we especially appreciated the amount of full bathrooms. Definitely would recommend.

It was lovely. Beautiful house. Comfortable. Had easy access to lake swimming, water holes, waterfalls and beautiful hikes. When there was a problem with the hot water heater, owners were VERY responsive and helpful and the owner came himself with a repair person to make sure the problem was solved. All towns/grocercy stores/resteraunts were a bit of drive, but I would gladly sacrifice that convenience for the beautiful setting and wonderful house.

Good house in good place with good owner

The house was great, and check in was super easy and we had no issues our entire stay. Kitchen & Bathrooms were well stocked with essentials for a stay. Howard was responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Road up to house is not paved so having a 4WD vehicle was a must as the road was thawing and muddy.

It was a neat "upside down" house built on the hillside of a mountain with an awesome view. It feels like you're in a tree house. Great fireplace and comfortable house with everything that you need for your stay. Easy communication with the owner.

Great place

This was by far the best VRBO/Owner experience yet. The owners were so accommodating in so many ways. We will be back. Here are a few highlights: Best equipped kitchen of any VRBO rental yet: Very clean Chalet and linens: Great attention to detail, tee lights on the mantle, in bathrooms, etc: Having a 1 year old grandson, the Chalet was child proof! 15 minutes from Okemo and Killington a must for skiers. Beautiful view of Echo Lake, I can go on and on but it is your turn to enjoy this hidden gem.

Audrey's house far surpassed expectations! Perfect for 3 couples to have their own bathroom and space. Could have very comfortably fit a 4th couple as well. Amazing views and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.

There was absolutely no problem renting this property and the property owners was very nice and very efficient in giving information.

We had a great time staying here and it was a perfect location. The house was comfortable and our group felt at home. The cache of games was a wonderful surprise and allowed some ole fashioned fun. Also, Howard & Audrey were very responsive to all questions.

The house is fantastic. We’re 4 adults and 3 kids and had great space for all. Owners provide everything yoou may need and are very communicative. We will be back.

The house is great not far from skiiing at Okemo or Killington. It has everything you need for your stay. It was clean and the view of the valley below is beautiful! Highly Recommend

This house is very comfortable for young children to seniors...if they can do stairs. Very well equipped, very clean, Howard and Audrey very flexible with the storm pending...”stay another night if too dangerous, on us.” The area has SO much to offer, from outdoor activities to great restaurants! Audrey and Howard have created the perfect getaway house. It’s so comfortable, warm and inviting! We stayed there from December 26,2018 through January 1, 2019. It was so nice to get away from all the Christmas rush and just relax. We brought our adult children with us and a stack of games and proceeded to have a fantastic time spending wonderful evenings by that beautiful fireplace and of course enjoying the view during the day. After a few days it was hard to remember that this was not our house – as funny as that seems. We did have several days of rain but we didn’t care. It’s just a wonderful place to spend time with your family and create memories that will last a lifetime. We really found a home away from home and hope we can come back again next year! Thank you again Audrey and Howard. Cannot recommend your home enough!

Other than 27 steps from top to bottom his property is beautiful and well laid out for a multifamily group The Kitchen was stocked perfectly and we truly joyed the awesome views

It is an amazingly Beautiful home in the most lovely setting possible. Howard was always extremely helpful and kitty and I plan on making a reservation again for next summer

This was our first trip to Vermont and we had great time. The house is in a perfect location midway between Killington and Okemo resorts. We had lots of fresh powder and conditions could not have been better. The house is quite comfortable and has a lovely view. After snowboarding/skiing, we enjoyed sitting around and playing games. The road was steep but the owners warned us to have a four wheel drive and we had no trouble. They resort had a snow plow that came around frequently and even went down into the driveway which made it so much easier! The owners were easy to communicate with and even checked on us to see that we made it safely. We enjoyed eating at the Hatchery for breakfast and Killarney's Irish Pub for dinner. Make sure you stop at the Killington Beer Company for the Darryl, a blonde ale with organic strawberries (doesn't sound great, but it was delicious)!

House was great, fireplace was amazing and views spectacular! We will be back to visit again for sure. Thanks for a great stay.
