Wonderful views from the private roof terrace. The apartment was very large and great furnishings. A wonderful selection of books also. Highly recommended. Very good restaurants in the area and a couple of bars. Listening to the sea crashing on the rocks outside was a bonus. Roof terrace kitchen a great addition.

The location of the apartment was superb, with amazing views from the roof and the apartment itself. It was next to the natural sea bathing pools and 30 minutes walk from the beach at Arrietta - just what we wanted.
The apartment itself was a good size, the bed comfortable and the main bathroom was good and the seating area excellent (I didnt understand how to operate the TV, but I never can).
The only reason it isnt a 5 star is that it just needed a good clean - the surfaces and cupboards were very sticky and plates etc not very clean. It also needs just a little bit of maintenance tlc - nothing dramatic eg. door handle on roof door is loose. It was probably just an end of season thing.
Anyway, we loved our stay there and would definitely stay again. Hopefully soon.

Beautiful spot
Casa Neptuno is a beautiful spot in the quieter and more authentic Lanzarotean small town, Punta Mujeres. A lovely first floor Appartment with everything you need, but the jewel in the crown is the roof terrace overlooking the sea. Also easy access on foot down to the sea or the sea pools, and a coastal path along to Jameos Del Agua. Extremely helpful hosts going out their way to make our stay seamless. Thank you so much!

Relaxing stay in Punta Mujeres with stunning views
We have just returned from a wonderful week. The apartment has everything you need, with lots of space and in a perfect location overlooking the sea. The views from the lounge and the roof terrace are spectacular.
If you are looking for a quiet week of relaxation, away from the crowds, this is the place to come.
We loved it!

Our experience
A lovely apartment with the sea just yards away
, which can be heard and viewed from the fabulous roof terrace, which gets the sun all day.
Although we were in a lock down situation whilst we were there, it has only wetted our appetite to visit again and experience the local bars and restaurants.
The proprietor s Di and Doug, are very friendly and approachable but not intrusive, and are a fountain of knowledge for the local area,
It really did feel like home from home.

Great location
Good holiday with amazing views of the Atlantic. Brilliant Tapas and Supermercado near by. Very relaxing holiday.
The property is very comfortable with views of the sunrise in the morning with breakfast and sunset from the roof terrace in the evening.

A gem of a find
Wow, what can I say
We wanted to STOP for a week and recharge our batteries and that is exactly what happened. Set in a little Spanish village with fantastic views of the sea, a bottle of wine on the roof terrace reading and watching the slow gentle world go by, perfect.
If you want nightlife and bars this is not for you, I think we heard three people speaking English all week, if you want a little bit of Spanish life and a relaxing time watching the sea then this is a gem of a property and we will definitely be going back the next time we need to stop.

Quiet, well situated comfortable appartment.
Right by the sea, close to restaurants and shop. Blissfully traffic free, soothed to sleep with the sound of the waves.

Oh what a view
Once again a massive thanks to Doug and Do for a great stay. We love this apartment with its large terrace and fantastic views Even though the weather was pretty horrid for the first week we were so snug as a heater and extra blankets were provided. The comfy sofa was a great place to watch the waves as they are feet away but safely so . Punta itself is a typical Canarian fishing village so if you want a lot of nightlife and shops galore this isn't the place for you. But a wonderful place to destress. A bird watching tour into the desert again was really interesting spotting Cream coloured Corsas ,shrikes, , bustards to name but a few. Can't wait to come back

wonderful position, in a village I already know and am very fond of.
Airy, spacious flat, with fabulous views.
A few problems with the TV,& DVD, also felt the kitchen equipment a bit ungenerous, and wondered how it would be for more than two people.

Real HomeAway at fantastic location/ Zuhause fühlen an einem tollen Ort
The apartment is truely a jewel, it is very well looked after and the location couldn´t be better.
Everything you can think of is provided, distances to local bars, restaurants and groceries shops are short and the sea and waves are to be seen and heard all the time. Communication with the owners was easy and friendly. If we ever come back to Punta Mujeres we´ll stay there again without doubt.

Idyllic hidden treasure.
When we booked we received all the information we needed from travel details to all the facilities in our apartment.
We arrived early but Diana and Doug gave us a warm welcome and a full tour of our apartment. They even brought us shopping.
Our 2 bedded apartment went above our expectations.( all you need and very clean.)
The views from the Terrance was amazing and it was very soothing to listen to the sea at night. We had a fabulous Terrance where we dined at night over looking the sea.
The area didn't have many tourist which was good. We saw the real lanzarote. It was a great base to go and see lanzarote.
Diana and Doug were there to say good bye.
We will be back and I would highly recommend here.
Diana and Doug keep up the great work.

Wonderful!
My husband and three year old son had a lovely relaxing time at Casa Neptune. If we didn't have a three year old we would have likely spent the first few days on the patio watching the sea change colors woth the sun. As we do have a three year old we had a ton of fun adventuring around and enjoying coming home to the cozy home and lovely views. Everything was just perfect. Thank you Dianne.

Utter Bliss
One of the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time. Stayed three weeks and loved the peace and tranquillity. The apartment has everything you need with the added bonus of a large sun terrace with stunning views. A typical Spanish village with lots of local life going on, but if you prefer the nightclub and pub holiday this is not the place for you. We swam in the rock pools and walked along the coast to the caves with the blind crabs visited the desert on a bird watching tour quite an experience. Had one of the most comfortable beds and the open plan lounge area had great comfy sofas and a Juliette balcony where from the windows the sea was feet away and you could watch the locals swimming for fish and fishing from the pier where you could have their catch for lunch in the local restaurant . Doug and Di the owners could not have been more helpful and we would love to go back again so thank you so much

Wonderful break, wonderful apartment.
We couldn't fault the apartment in any way. Beautifully clean and well appointed. Everything you needed was there. Di and Doug. (the owners) went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely holiday. We would definitely recommend this apartment to all our friends. Stunning views and such a friendly village.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
We arrived 3 hours later than we should as the apartment was very difficult to find, especially at night. Poor parking. Upon entrance, we found it to be extremely dark, very dusty and very uninviting. There were light bulbs missing in important places, plugs/wiring was described by my Electrician husband as a 'death-trap'. Taps were poorly fitted, coming loose when turned on - spluttering dirty brown water. The kitchen counter had not been washed at all and the hob was extremely dusty with the oven shelves/trays etc covered in torn old foil which was clearly unhygienic and unfit for use and the cutlery/utensils were absolutely minimal and very basic. The first bedroom was unspeakably dark, cold and once again, totally basic and where I met my first cockroach. The main bedroom, however, was clean and although, once again, dreadfully dark, the bed was clean and fresh (I stripped it myself to ensure this) and with clean towels. We eventually ventured upstairs to the terrace and once we had encouraged the gate to open, found the terrace not to be as advertised with little or no privacy and definitely not the view on the picture. Nothing worked, no fridge, no hotplate (well we think that's what it was) taps literally falling off the sink and wiring worse than downstairs!
INFESTATION WAS INSANE.... we couldn't get to the Microwave plug for the immense invasion of tiny ants, normally not a problem abroad, but this was crazy. Had to wash the counter and hob down in order to get rid of them enough to get to the kettle and it was an experience attempting a bite of breakfast before leaving the following morning! The floor was covered in them, we ended up brushing them off our shoes!
But the BEST BIT of all was the notice in the main bathroom informing us to ensure all plugs were kept in the sinks/bath as we didn't want to invite any "UNWANTED GUESTS"...... well THAT made you sleep well!
Having said that, we were grateful for the bottle of water and carton of milk left in the fridge for us. We stayed one night and cleared off as quickly as possible, booking into Puerto Del Carmen for 6 nights, costing us almost 3 times more for our holiday.
We found the photos/description misleading and did not reflect the apartment we thought we were renting for a week and would genuinely question the 'recently refurbished' declaration. I would also urge anyone thinking of this Apt to check the dates on previous reviews, other than ours, they are indeed rather old!!

Fantastic Family Holiday
This place was brilliant. The appartment is right by the sea, and the swimming and snorkelling is fantastic. The village is quiet, but with enough places to eat out and to shop for picnics and cooking if you chose to eat in. The kitchen is well equipped, and we were able to cook for 5 of us most nights. The village is well placed for seeing all of the island, and driving around was extremely easy. There was a minor problem with the electricity one evening (the whole village was out for a short time!!) and the owners were quick to make sure that everything was sorted out for us.
I would highly recommend this place an an excellent place for a family holiday.
Thank you.

Casa Neptune
Casa Neptune is a lovely apartment right by the sea in the quaint, typically Spanish village of Punta Mujeres.
The ground floor apartment was very well fitted out - clean, comfortable and convenient. The owners are helpful and pleasant to deal with.
My partner and I slept in the bigger of the two bedrooms as it had the big double bed. The disadvantage of this room is that the water tank is very loud in here, so when the toilet is flushed in the upstairs apartment, the tank kicks in loudly for a few minutes - not loud enough to disturb sleep, but irritating when you're trying to drop off.
Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay here. Though there isn't a great deal in the way of bars, restaurants and shops in Punta Mujeres, there are a few, and Arrietta, a stones throw away, has plenty, so don't let this put you off.
Walking along the sea front from one end of the village to other, winding through the back streets, feels magical. It's a special place and the apartment feels special too, situated where it is. I would recommend this apartment and the village to anyone with a taste for something more authentic Than the more touristic resorts to be found in the south.
We really did enjoy our stay at Casa Neptune and may very well return in the future.

Best Holiday
This is the third time we have stayed at this apartment. The owners Doug and Diana have always gone out of their way to make sure our stay has gone without a problem and this year was no exception. The apartment has been updated since we last stayed and as always is spotless with everything on hand.

Pretty Village Self Catering.
Our stay in Punta was perfect. Huge roof terrace. Pebbly beach below and sandy beach in a few yards. Area mainly locals and Canarian holiday makers. They were all friendly and lovely with the 6yr old that was with us.Pretty little cat called Lena lived close by. A real village and no complaints.
Brenda and Len were excellent, called round and introduced themselves.Nothing would have been too much trouble for them, their only concern is for your comfort. We shopped mainly at Arrietta filling station but the small shops 3 in total have everything from a toothbrush to Gelatine! Every shop we used were happy to see us and not just for our money. We had Tapas at the small bar nearby, again friendly, help yourself ,pay later. Had Tapas at both bars in Arrietta both good cost similar. We enjoyed The Pirate castle , pretty scary road and entrance but worth it.Good cooking facilities, washing machine., toaster etc.Was certainly clean and we enjoyed every hour we were there. We missed not having a BBQ as we self cater and there is a hob and sink on the terrace it seemed a missed opportunity despite the wind. The locals all BBQ in the passage way below.
Ask Brenda and Len for directions to Lidl. But it seemed to us for the first time go through Costa Teguise, you can see Ikea and its next door. Not open Sunday. Hyperdino expensive.Spar good value had excellent steak.Market at Haria good for fruit and veg, ask Brenda anything you need to know. Jon, Kate and Leah

Great apartment, great village!
We were stunned when we climbed the stairs and went into the apartment. Superb. Then we realised we had more stairs to go up. Unbelievable! What a terrace. It was our own fault for not reading the info in more detail. We thought we had to share with the ground floor apartment but no, it was all ours for the week!
The apartment had everything we needed and we only ate out once, Sunday lunch down on the beach bar next to where the UK PM had been stung by jellyfish a few weeks before. We had a car so we were able to get to supermarkets in arrecife in 20 mins but there are a few in Punta and Arrieta.
The only sound you hear at night is that of the waves on the cove outside. I expect it would be busier in July and August though.
Each afternoon it was a pleasure to go back as we had been out every day on hikes at Famara, Mancha Blanca and other places. Tired legs, flop on the sunbeds with a cold beer from one of your own (2!) fridges. Bliss.
If you like liveliness and the delights of Puerto del Carmen etc etc , English food, satellite TV and all things English but with sun then dont come up to Punta Mujeres. If you want to sample life in a part of Lanzarote where the locals still smile and say 'ola' ( speaking a little bit of spanish helps) then this is a fantastic place.
We are just about to leave and have a week down in Playa Blanca but we know we are going to miss this place.
Pay the extra if you can and get the apartment with the terrace.
Thanks Diana for sorting the booking process, Doug for phoning to see how we were doing and also thanks to Brenda for telling us where the front door key was hiding!
You can be proud of Casa Neptune.

Wonderfully Peaceful Scenic Location
Property was exceptionally well presented and the owners..Doug and Diana...were on hand to make sure everything was to our satisfaction...which it unreservedly was.
For us the location was perfect with stunning sea views through the French doors and from the roof top sun terrace. Loved sitting by the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine or malt and watch the waves pounding into the little cove. From behind the property you climb down a handful of steps and when tide is in you can be swimming safely in sea....great for snorkelling.
Although we speak minimal Spanish we were made to feel very welcome in all the local hostelries where you could eat and drink for very reasonable prices compared to the 'built up tourist areas.
Great location for exploring the remainder of the island but for us most of the scenic areas were within 20 mins drive. Some lovely secluded golden sand beaches intermingled with the black volcanic lava.
Handy to have a car but if you want to switch off and totally chill out its worth arranging a local transfer or even a taxi...cost not prohibitive.
The supermarket at the filling station in Arrieta...about 1km down the flat road...is well stocked at very reasonable prices.
We would have no hesitation recommending this property for anyone looking for a peaceful away from it all holiday.
Thanks Doug and Diana....im sure we will be back.
