Sweet Merlot - A Family Rental with a Pool & walking distance to Twin beach
Hospedado por el propietario y un Super Anfitrión de Airbnb, Sweet Merlot es una casa tradicional de estilo isla-colonial que ofrece hermosas vistas al Atlántico, una calle tranquila y todas las comodidades y comodidades que esperaría de un hogar familiar lejos del hogar. Dos habitaciones para huéspedes, ambas con camas queen size y vistas al océano, comparten un baño con ducha, pero dejan mucho espacio para pasar el rato y relajarse. También hay una cama doble extra en el rincón de arriba para el adolescente o adulto joven que está despierto la mitad de la noche viendo películas para chocar.
La casa tiene muchas de las mejoras de una casa de alta gama sin el alto precio de una casa en Harbor Island o Banks Road. Es una gran casa familiar para explorar ambos extremos de Eleuthera y regresar al final del día. Está cerca de todas las playas de Rainbow Bay. Esta casa también cuenta con una piscina en la parte trasera con una gran terraza para esos días de descanso cuando solo quieres quedarte en casa y entretenerte a la parrilla. We have been coming to Rainbow Bay since 1986 and Sweet Merlot is the nicest rental we have ever had! Our family of 7 had ample room fir everyone to have their own space. The deck space and pool were an added bonus! The house was situated in a perfect spot in Rainbow Bay for beach access and long walks as well as offering views of the ocean, sunrises and settings. It was difficult to leave!

The house is very nice and clean. It is roomy enough for a large family. The location is in the center of the Island, but most restaurants and stores are either on the North or South end which is 40-50 minutes away on very rough roads. It is lacking on some of the amenities, there was only partial toilet paper left on the rolls so we had to go to the store to purchase more to get us through the week. No laundry detergent - we had to wash towels every night. No hairdryer. The TV did not have cable available and the VCR player wasn't connected (no HDMI cord) so it wasn't possible to watch any of the tvs. We didn't know where to take the trash, it just said to a central trash location. We finally found instructions (on the last day) with instructions for many things we had questions about, which would have eliminated all the text messages with the owner/manager. One important thing was when the electricity goes out, the water goes off. A basic thunderstorm can cause the electricity to go out for almost the entire day - no candles in the house. No instructions for how to get to twin beach but we found a different beach that was beautiful.

I would caution anyone from renting this home. We have rented vacation houses for 12 years in the US and outside of the US and haven't been this unhappy or felt unsafe. Overall we were satisfied with the location of the property and the AC units working well. However, we didn't feel safe due to a large dog in the adjoining yard and no wifi for communication. We did not have wifi for 3 of 4 days that we were there and the property managers worked hard to resolve that. But without wifi we had no way to get in touch with them reliably. Wifi is listed as an amenity but BE AWARE that they don't feel that it needs to be working well for guests. There was lukewarm water one day and the rest of the days we had no hot water. The water pressure was so low that you wouldn't be able to wash your hair. The check in instructions were very vague and it was frustrating to find what the manager told us to look for. There is a large, intimidating dog in the yard as you walk up to the house. I grew up with dogs and I was scared of this one. It could have easily jumped the short fence. I was not comfortable entering/leaving the house with my infant daughter when the dog was outside. There was no written information about the house or location provided by the hosts. We didn't know how to get down to the beach nearby and fully enjoy our location. We received check out instructions that asked us to remove the trash from the house and take it somewhere that was supposed to be described on the refrigerator. There was no info there. Asking guests to remove the trash from the house (beyond putting in a bin) is well beyond the scope of normal asks for vacation rentals. We have been renting homes for the last 12 years and this has never been an ask. I wouldn't rent here again.

We stayed for a week to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Nice, clean an plenty of space for all of us. Great location to restaurants and pretty central to the island. Had all things you would need for a week but maybe give us some extra rolls of toilet paper next time since we had 5 adults for a week. We would definitely rent again.

Three friends and I stayed here for several nights and really enjoyed it- the large kitchen, deck, pool, and grill were all great, and we got a lot of use out of the porch and outdoor table. The large home made our stay very comfortable. We hope to visit again.

We had a terrific time staying at Sweet Merlot which is centrally located on Eleuthera. Only a few miles down the road, Rainbow Bay Beach is perfect for sunning, wading, snorkeling, paddling and relaxing. The kitchen and dining areas are great for interacting, card games, puzzling, and awesome home cooked meals. We enjoyed having coffee on the porch each morning before starting our adventures. The upstairs den was fun for watching comedy DVDs in comfy recliners. We never had time to jump into the pool because the island has too many beautiful natural sites and beaches to explore!

We enjoyed the property very much. It is spacious and well put together with a great porch and beautiful view of the Atlantic. We were so sorry our time visiting the Island was short, and to further enjoy all that the property has to offer.

Can’t beat the price for this house. It has so much room for our family of 5. We enjoyed our time there. Glad we found it available during our travel time.

Plenty of room for six adults. The pool was definitely a wonderful amenity. Having two full size refrigerators was a bonus. Allan the maintenance man was very helpful and fixed all our requests. The property was economical and conveniently located. Please read the listed amenities carefully and bring anything you must have especially bug spray for the no-seeums. We hope to rent again next year.

Everything was really good and how we wanted to spend our time was just perfect. Very quite area, only thing was the yard could of been little bit cleaner than that.

Wow! Sweet Merlot is a wonderful home away from home. The spacious property is the perfect rest spot each night in between beach hopping each day. We spent lots of time by the pool on the patio with drinks in the evenings, enjoying the view. We traveled with 7 people total and this house gave everyone their own space and had plenty of room for us all to cook and get ready for the beach each day! Cannot wait to return to this great rental.

I was in Eleuthera visiting family and wanted a relaxing environment to stay in for a few days. The host communicated well as to what to expect upon arrival.
The house was exactly as described with more than enough room and comfort for my family and I to enjoy amd relax. Also very clean.
The pool was an added perk as the beach was not in walking distance, which the kids fully enjoyed on the hot days.
When visiting Eleuthera again this will definitely a top pick.

Overall it was okay. One friend kept getting bites and stopped after she washed the bedding however the rest of us were fine. Place was nice but not fully stocked kitchen so we had to buy a few things. Pool has rust spots and the lounge chairs need to be power washed. Otherwise we enjoyed the place and the location was great for exploring several beaches

For those looking to rent near JC in Rainbow; look no further. It is a nice house with plenty of space. Two living areas make it ideal for stays with adults and kids. The kitchen was a bit hard to find somethings in and there are some missing screens on windows. Overall it is a four out of five stars. Thanks for a great trip.

The house was not freshen up before check in.The yard needs to be taken care off,the hot water didn’t worked. Air conditioner didn’t worked in one of the rooms.The kitchen sink leaked,Grill was dirty.. No cooking pots. The water went off so our getaway ended early !

In short all I can say is we needed more time , it was all we expected and more with a homey feel and fun, clean and adventurous ambiance . We are definitely gonna be back sooner than later .
