A perfect place for our family! Great for our grandmother with no stairs for her. She was able to have access to the bedroom, restroom, kitchen and the living room. Our two children had their own place in the loft with their own restroom with their own tv, they loved their privacy. They also had a fun game room with games including Pac-Man, foos ball and chess/checkers. We also had great grilled steak dinners.
We had great communication with the host. He promptly answered all our questions and gave recommendations. It’s almost like he thought of everything.

Cute little place in Big Bear with room for the family to spread out. Loft for the kids and game room is good for entertainment
The place is clean but blinds are a bit dusty and could use some body wash and shampoo in the showers so we don’t have to run out and buy that as soon as we arrive. Minor details
We will rent again next time we’re in Big Bear for sure.

This house is a gem if you have a range of kiddos at different ages. Our son had his 14th birthday with some friends. My wife and our younger daughters were able to stay in the main house, while the boys did their thing in the huge play room. The playroom has a ton of space and kiddos came in the main house to eat all our food of course. We thought we would have (7), but one of his friends jumped onboard last minute making it (8). We didn’t feel crowded at all even though there were more available beds upstairs.
Chris did a great job communicating, we had a slight mishap when we arrived and within minutes it was resolved. There are a lot of choices in Big Bear, yet this property is within a few miles of everything, the slopes, grocery store and restaurants.
FYI, in the back there is a cool classic ski chair lift and a small hill. The boys made a jump with the friendly neighbors tool below and the girls played on the swing and snow.
All in all a wonder, clean yet classic cabin in the woods, thanks Chris and family for letting us enjoy your home, we had a true blast.

6 of us had more than enough room to sleep, hang out, and relax. There was everything we needed to cook and enjoy two in cabin, meals, and all of the amenities are as described in their listing. The location is perfect for Bear mountains no Summit the grocery stores and any restaurants on the boulevard. Thank you Chris for a wonderful property in which to celebrate our daughter.

We absolutely loved this property! It was a clean, updated, and rustic Big Bear cabin. The woodwork was awesome! We had Thanksgiving there with just our little family, and my kids (3 teens) said it was the best Thanksgiving they had in a long time (and I agree!). They absolutely loved the game room and loft, since these spaces gave them places to hang together (a rare occasion at home!). The game room was open, light, and spacious. We also enjoyed the nearby walking trail and overall vibe of the area. Chris was an amazing host, and we definitely hope to stay there again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was such a cute place to stay. The location was great, right down the road from the dam side of the lake, Vons and Stater brothers.
The house itself was very well kept, clean and well stocked. The kids LOVED the loft and the game room and all the adults enjoyed having so much space to spread out but still feel connected. The swing outside was a beautiful place to hang out at night and listen to the quiet and stargaze.
I took one star off for online accuracy only because the angle of the pictures make the space look WAY bigger than it is in person. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice sized space but it's not as spread out as it looks in the pictures. But it's beautifully maintained and updated and our party of six had more than enough space.
The backyard is NOT fenced in, however and the trees open up into 3 other backyards. Not an issue for privacy or anything. But we had our dogs so that was just a minor inconvenience in our instance. There is a little kennel area on the side of the house and a tie off in the ground though so if your dog isn't like ours and will pee on leash, you're good. Lol
Overall, amazing stay. Chris was a great host. Very kind and more than accommodating. The kids didn't want to go home and we all would love to go back. Thank you Chris for your incredible hospitality.

I have stayed in many VRBO properties and this was my best experience ever. The main reason for this was the owner. We planned a family trip to go snowboarding and as it turned out our visit was during the historic snow storm of 2023. The owner knowing that the roads where going to be bad on the planned travel day called us and suggested we come a day earlier. Boy where we glad we did. The owner was outstanding about communicating with us the entire trip. The home was absolutely beautiful and was just what we needed for our trip. The upstairs loft was great for our teenagers to have their own space. They also spent many hours in the game room when they could not get out due to the snow. When it was time for us to go home and all the roads where closed the owner was totally understanding of the situation and allowed us to stay for two more days. I would highly recommend this home and am hoping to get back up in the spring for some fishing.

The house was cozy and fit our group well. We stayed with another family and the loft was perfect for our kiddos. We all enjoyed the well-appointed & fun rec room! We loved the location - easy access to both mountains, close to Von’s and a short drive to the Village. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and great for walks.

The Cabin was just just as described, Had snow on the ground so it was perfect. Back yard was great kids loved it and were able to sled down a little hill so that was awsome, Chris the property owner was great very responsive and helpful! All in all the location was just what we hoped for. Just one thing winter season with snow is tough to get up the driveway with no 4x4 or all wheel drive thank god for that extra parking spot lol oh yeah and that game room is awsome!! Thanks again Chris

Game room was a great selling feature for our family. Lots of options- shuffle board, foosball, chess, and old style arcade game with over 400 vintage games. The owner, Chris, responded quickly to all inquiries.

Everything about our experience in Big Bear was positive. Our Host was responsive to any questions we had and gave us an immediate reply when we contacted him.
Our cabin was well stocked with every essential. The kitchen was well equipped right down to the spices for cooking your own meals. The Game room was a great amenity where we enjoyed watching T.V. while enjoying a game of Alley Shuffleboard, Foosball and Pac-Man.
The cabin is situated in a beautiful neighborhood with trees all around. It's also within walking distance to local watering holes including Captains Anchorage just down the street.
Overall, I can't come up with anything we didn't enjoy about this trip. We will most certainly be back in the future.

Great Escape from Desert Heat
We really enjoyed this cabin. Thoughtfully laid out house and property. Well-stocked with all you’d need. The furniture was comfortable and updated. TV was easy with streaming services. We didn’t use the game room, but it would be great with kids. The outdoor front patio was a comfortable coffee table and chairs, but the back yard patio furniture was a small table with four uncomfortable chairs. Wasn’t ideal for outdoor dining.
The pictures in the listing, although accurate, make it seem a little shinier and newer than it is in real life. Not bad, just not quite that level of newness and quality. The cabin has two bedrooms on the main living level, good for those who can’t do stairs easily, but with a very nice loft upstairs with its own bath (kids would love it).
The owner, Chris, was very responsive and helpful.

Game Room Bonus
Nice property that worked for our family size. We’ll stocked with ample seating. Outdoor areas were nice with seating areas and a room for our grandson to play. The bonus was the game room. We enjoyed hanging out there with all the games and tv.

Wonderful vacation home
What a lovely vacation rental! It was perfect for our family of four and it would easily have done great for a family of eight. The game room is fantastic for the kids to get away. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be staying there again in the future.

Perfect Family Thanksgiving Vacation
Everything went smoothly from the moment we got there. Chris was very responsive to any questions we had. The house was exactly what we hoped for. Cozy, fully stocked with all amenities and the perfect family atmosphere along with the game room that was hours of fun. It truly felt like our home while we were there. A beautiful neighborhood with a nearby walking trail that our dog loved. We will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway
A group of our friends went to Big Bear to enjoy the Oktoberfest celebration at the convention center. The house was very conveniently and centrally located, just a few minutes drive from the event, very close to the grocery store and a few minutes drive to the Village. The house was clean and well appointed as it appears in the photos. Our group was all adults, but we absolutely LOVED the well equipped game room and spent hours having fun in there! The kitchen was also well equipped and we enjoyed making meals there each morning and evening. Lovely neighborhood for morning walks as well. Great communication with Chris and we had no problems with the property at all. Highly recommend! :)

Wonderful family getaway!
This cabin exceeded all expectations. Exceptionally clean, wonderful location, and perfect layout for our family. The loft upstairs was very nice (bunkbeds, a queen bed, and full bath), the kids felt like they had their own hideout! The game room was a hit, everything was in good working order and so much fun to play! The neighborhood is fantastic, couldn't ask for more. I hope to be able to rent this cabin again for another wonderful vacation. Thank you for sharing your home!
