I'm just being nice about the star rating i've given to these homeowners. I would of liked to say that this home was pleasant to stay in, but my family and I didn't even want to spend our night here. This property listing involves false advertisment as well as very rude owners. We found out that the cottage we were going to stay in is in these people's backyard, about 15 ft away from their actual home. There was no information in the description to inform us about this problem and my family and I felt very uncomfortable staying for the night. So, after we found this out, I got in contact with the owners to discuss what might of just been a mistake to them and could of been easily fixed. Apparently the owner didn't like to hear that I wanted a refund and made the situation so much worse than it was. In no way was she being professional or respectful throughout the process, being that she was yelling and arguing like a 40 yr old little kid. In other words, if your interested in this property just know that this cottage is in this womens backyard and the owners are not all that they seem to be unless your giving them your money. Safe travels everyone :)

What a perfect little paradise! The cottage has been so thoughtfully planned out with the comfort and relaxation of the guests being the top priority. Came out for a quick girls paddle boarding trip with the dog and couldn’t have asked for a better location! So quiet and calm, we are already looking at dates to return as soon as possible!

It was a very quiet and relaxful get away from the normal day to day. The paddle boats were fun.

My wife and I have stayed at many places on many different lakes this was our first time on Lake Lewisville it was definitely one of the bests places we have booked. My wife loved the cottage it was super clean and had everything we needed for cooking and comfort and loved the lights also lake view was gorgeous. If you love to fish I'm going to give a shout out to Ken he gave me a ride down to the boat ramp to get my truck and allowed me to dock my boat on the lake which makes a 4 days of fishing trip so much easier. Great host ,Great experience, Thanks

We stayed at the cottage while we were visiting our son. We had visions of just relaxing and hanging around at the lake with him; sadly it was too cold and windy while we were there for that. The lake is however just as pictured and most times would be a perfectly lovely place to spend time at. The general area is experiencing a lot of development and area traffic was heavy. But shortly before you get to the cottage the road gets small and while staying there we had no sense of how much development is nearby. The cottage was absolutely great for our needs. It is small so where to put luggage, etc was a little challenging but in spite of its size it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Lovely quiet both day and night. Owners let us know they were available if needed but otherwise didn’t interact. We had plenty of privacy and no issues. Would absolutely stay again should we return to the area..

Our stay in this cottage at the lake was a perfect place to get away from work and spend time relaxing. The cottage was perfect in every way. I will definitely book this property again.

The cottage was amazing! It was clean, well appointed, and everything was functional. Sadly, we were only there for two nights to visit family, but it was a lovely location. The Christmas decorations on the property were charming. If I ever have to go back to the area, I will stay again.

Location was perfect for everything we possibly needed. The view was amazing! Everything was explained in great details so we could figure everything out. Wonderful place, would definitely stay again.

Kids enjoyed exploring the shoreline for hours while we enjoyed watching them tire themselves out. Highly recommend!

We held my daughter's wedding here. It was beautiful and she is thrilled to have the wedding of her dreams. Diana and Ken are amazing hosts and did everything they could to help make my daughter's special day perfect. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful property and the gracious hosts!

Everything you need

I cannot recommend this stay enough for those looking for a calm yet fun summer getaway! My number one priority for this trip was to have lake access for swimming and other water activities and it was perfect! The space is very nice and has everything you need. We found ourselves staying in and having movie nights with home cooked meals every night. It's just the perfect little getaway from the normal hustle and bustle and I cannot wait to visit again!

Third time to stay at this property. We love it here! We enjoyed swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding in the lake.

Stayed three days, didn't leave the property. The cabin was very well stocked, we just brought food. Especially enjoyed the lake and kayaks that were available to us.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is exactly as described. Quiet, peaceful and the most amazing view of the lake. We rented the studio and the cottage both are very nice, clean and comfortable. Lovely private decks to enjoy coffee and the view in the morning. It was a real plus that we were able to bring our dogs and they could enjoy a little off leash time with lots of room to run and play. Diana and Ken are such gracious hosts. We highly recommend!

House was small but clean and fully equipped. Very quiet and peaceful. The swimming area is perfect. Shallow enough for children. You won’t be disappointed!

This cottage is the place to stay if you want a beautiful, nature filled trip. So pretty and being waterfront was the best! The cottage was equipped with everything, and the softest linens! We will return!

I recently stayed here at the cottage with my partner for our anniversary. The cottage was well furnished with everything you will need. The cottage was very comfortable. It was a very pleasant experience with lots of activities to do. My favorite was my first time canoeing. Will definitely be back soon.

Adorable cabin with everything you could think of to have a nice, peaceful, vacation that seems out of town but is relatively close to shopping , food and entertainment. The hosts have worked hard to make the property and cabin outstanding for guests.

Loved the property. My hubby our pup and I enjoyed two nights on the property before our daughter's their pup and some friends joined us Saturday for a bbq. We rented the cottage and really enjoyed the location. The gentleman that owes the property would come out just to make sure all was well. We were able to use the life vest and enjoy the water toys (ex. canoe, kayak) at no additional charge. and they had the grill ready to go. We will be returning and hope to rent out both the cottage and the studio as this will allow us total privacy. It was a great relaxing time. The communication over special requests was great and prices were extremely fair. The restaurant location for breakfast they recommend is amazing went there both Friday and Saturday morning,

We can summarize our stay with a few words. Lovely inside and out, wonderful hosts, and so relaxing! Everything we wanted in a tidy well appointed cottage add the deck space and the view and I am already looking for a chance to get back!

A quiet time by the lake was just the right thing. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend to other travelers. The space is not large but very comfortable. Kitchen well supplied and view was delightful. In warmer weather the water would be so much fun.
