My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a very relaxing time. Finding the place and checking in was easy. The cottage is very beautiful and thoughtfully designed. We also LOVED the shared pool on the property. It's located in a quiet small village with lots of beautiful scenery. Be aware there is a refrigerator, but no freezer; a toaster oven, but no microwave.

The owners ,property and location are amazing.My wife and myself will differently be back. Highly recommend staying here. Ann and her husband Francois couldn’t be kinder and more helpful. Fishing , hiking just so thoughtful, love and peace to them .

We love Old Chatham
The owners ,property and location are amazing.My wife and myself will differently be back. Highly recommend staying here. Ann and her husband Francois couldn’t be kinder and more helpful. Fishing , hiking just so thoughtful, love and peace to them .

The proprietors showed us our lodging... the temperature was at least 85 degrees inside and they had no way to lower the temperature.. we tried to stay for a bit to see if their miniature air conditioner would lower the temperature but it did not.
They were in denial the whole time... and things went downhill from there,
We had to cancel the stay.. find a motel and then went back to DC..... some vacation!
They need to find another way to make a living.

The loft was exactly what we needed for a nice getaway! The owners were so kind and the property was awesome! The surrounding area was perfect for hiking and kayaking. I also loved how stores weren't too far away so that could buy some groceries and cook our own food. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Excellent respite
The loft apartment was clean and cheery--a comfortable bed, a great shower, a kitchen area to make simple meals. Some beautiful and intensely quiet roads nearby for walking and biking--Riders Mills Road, Shaker Museum Road. Ann is a generous and present host, ready to help with anything.

This was the perfect cozy, beautiful loft for our weekend at our friend's wedding. It had everything we needed and is located right across from an amazing restaurant, The Old Chatham Country Store so we didn't even have to drive to breakfast!

Happy we stayed here.
This rental is a good place to stay. The unit is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds are better than most, the TV is good, as is the heating. The kitchen area is good and the bathroom is great. The location is really good (Jackson's and OC Country Store across the street). The spiral stair is not easy to use and the loft has limited headroom so it is not for everyone. I would certainly stay here again.

Not quite as advertised
The loft was artfully photographed. The bed is behind the lounge chair wedged next to the narrow spiral stairs. Didn’t even attempt to go up. No fresh fruit- nothing. Not a tbs if coffee a pat of butter- stop and do shopping before. There was a mousetrap in the living area in the open. I couldn’t get on the internet and emailed the person in charge to help me. The suggestion was to stand outside and try to find a connection- it was raining. I’d booked for three nights and left first thing after one. It wasn’t worth being that uncomfortable.

Loft July 2018 #1
AMAZING place - clean, comfortable, and great location. Hosts are very responsive, caring and attentive. We had a wonderful bowl of seasonal fresh fruit waiting for us on the table when we opened the door and lots of chilled bottled water. In fact, we love this place so much it instantly became our go-to spot and we have already booked our next trip and will booking a third trip soon.
