Good location for Town Centre and lagoon. There's a breakfast included. Which is toast, fruit, cereal, tea and coffee which is nice. Really chill atmosphere. Not a party hostel at all. The staff are soooo lovely and helpful. They have free bicycles to use as well.

Something to note is I booked a female only room (purely for the fact it was cheaper then mixed) and there were males that stayed in the room. I don't mind at all as I normally stay in mixed rooms, but if you were someone that had an issue with this for personal or cultural reasons maybe just triple check at check in. Also there are 6 beds in a room but only 4 lockers. It's very cramped in the rooms as they have just put 2 extra matresses on the floor but nothing major.

The facilities how ever are completely run down and disgusting and they've shoved matresses into the dorms blocking the entire floor and thereby having guests sleeping on matresses on the floor - like a prison. Completely unacceptable and just a way to squeeze money out of the place and try to take advantage of people.

The energy of the place is amazing. Alexa es una persona muy amable y siempre nos ayuda en todo que necesitamos, incluso el rico desayuno. The hostel has bikes and you can cook there. there’s theee common areas what makes totally difference.

Good Vibes, the location

Quality of matraces in Bunkbeds (at least room number 6) catastrophic. Please consider providing new matraces because they are super overused and it’s almost impossible to sleep on that! it’s a shame because the hostel itself is nice!

we were six girls in a dorm meant for 4 people. the pull out beds on the floor are not realistic and there is 0 space for all of our bags

Best hostel I stayed so far in my entire life!!! The design is awesome, bed is comfortable and you get a towel. what was the biggest surprise is that you can get bikes for free!!! I only booked 1 night and decided it to prolong with 2 as well.

Locations is superb, 2 minutes walk from the lagoon and many good restaurants/bars. Includes free bike rental that you can use to get around the city. Receptionist extremely friendly and gave good recommendations/ informations about bus tickets/ laundry ect. Very chill hostel with nice common space as well. Hidden gem in Bacalar!

Bed wasn't super comfortable and dorm room quite small. Always out of toilet paper in bathrooms.

Cheap price

Don’t go here. you can choose the other room in Bacalar with same price. There are so many room near lake in Bacalar and you can borrow bike and even kayak for free in there. But here, you can’t. Maybe you can borrow just bike for free. And here is far from lake. So hot and pretty dirty. Above all, I don’t recommend here. Because the staff is so rude. When I stayed here, I charged twice and I didn’t know first. I charged in this app first, and when I arrived here, they required charging to me so I gave 267 peso to them(I don’t know why). And when I knew that I charged twice, I texted to them, but they didn’t read more than 1 weeks. And later, they read and just told to me ‘Ok’ and I didn’t get anything. I don’t know what is ‘ok’. They didn’t tell anything and didn’t solve the problem. Never refund, Never apologize. So rude.

The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. I felt absolutely at home and very comfortable. It's a smaller but very cozy and sweet hostel with hammocks, a common area to hang out and a terrace as well.

The shower could've been cleaner but all in all the hostel is one of the cleanest I've been to. The breakfast was only one kind of cereal and toast with strawberry marmelade. No fruits

The beds is not good to sleep, the bathroom is so dirty and you need to dispute the place to go to bath (there is just one to share with many people). The breakfast is not good.
