This was our second summer staying at this fabulous lake house! The views of the lake are amazing and the sunsets spectacular. Able to have our kids and grandkids over to enjoy the lake, cookouts and back yard.
Well equipped kitchen as well as many lake toys to enjoy. Can’t wait to come back

We had a wonderful time. The property is fully stocked with everything needed for a great vaction.
The only downside were the beds, which were not very comfortable.

This is a very welcoming home that is well-looked after, with great access to the largest lake in NJ. We loved the fireplace and the excellent showers. All indoors is quite clean and there is plenty of room to spread out. A very nice back deck. The kitchen is very tight confines, but has everything and is sparkling clean. The lake views are brilliant. There is a hidden gem right next door–a hiking trail that is clean and wide. We wish we would have known of it on day one, because walking the dog on the neighborhood streets is a downer. The street is narrow, there are no sidewalks, and its not clean. Overall this is an over-crowded destination with many busy boats on the lake, and neighbors tight up against you, easy to hear their activities in detail. Therefore three stars for the location. The host is excellent.

Nice property with a beautiful view of the lake and sunsets. We enjoyed a relaxing stay here after a few days in New York City. The living room fireplace was very nice since it was November and a little cold outside. The owner was very nice and easy to get a hold of.

We rented this home on Lake Hopactong because the home allowed for our dog to come along. This home was absolutely lovely!! It was at the end of a quiet street and directly on the lake. We had beautiful views from many of the windows in the house as well as a spacious outdoor deck directly overlooking the lake. The host was amazing and answered all of our questions quickly and efficiently. This home is a true neighborhood gem that we would love to come back to rent again!

We were very happy with our stay at this quaint lakeside home. It was very clean, there was everything there that you could possibly want or need for an enjoyable stay. Morning coffee on the large deck overlooking the peaceful lake was the best way to start your day! I would defiantly give this home a 5⭐️ and hope to return return in the spring!

Small 2 bedroom home on Lake Hopatcong. House very clean beautiful condition. Outstanding sunsets which can be seen from the living room and dining area. Beautiful deck . Enjoyed the kayak and paddle board. Great location.

We spent 4 weeks at this fabulous lake front home, returning to NJ to be near our kids and grandkids. The house was perfect, beautiful view of the lake, sunsets were amazing! Comfortable, clean and well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed the gas grill and deck. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. Can't wait to return.

We visited after Christmas for several days leading up to January 1. The reason for the visit, primarily was to enjoy time with family in the area including an elderly parent (about to turn 90). We hosted a small gathering for totaling six adults and a three year old with ease, all comfortably seated around the large dining table overlooking the lake. The home was perfect for this visit - adequate sleeping arrangements for those staying in the home, spacious common space to be enjoyed, stunning scenery, efficient kitchen, and quiet setting. I (as one of the guests) grew up on this lake many years ago - just across from the property - so many memories flooded back about boating, swimming, water skiing, ice fishing, skating and time at (now closed) Bertrand's Island. Day or night, the setting is beautiful - although only one day we had fog. Several evenings, a hot cup of coffee, a clear sky, chilly temps, made watching the constellations worth the trip - if just for that experience again. Ownership was gracious, fast to respond to any questions, and well prepared for guests in the home. I highly recommend considering this property - and we are more than happy to offer FIVE STARS, without reserve.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The house was so neat and clean and the bathroom and kitchen were all updated and nicely decorated! The beds were extremely comfortable…I felt like I was at home! The view of the lake through the large picture window is stunning! I needed a little R & R while my husband worked 40 minutes away. We’re new to this area and would consider buying property here! Thank you Celeste!

This is a cute 2 bedroom home in front of the Lake. Being at the end of a Dead End road is a plus. Home was very clean. You can hear a small creek from downstairs bedroom at night which was relaxing. We loved the big windows, big dining table, fireplace. White clean tiles in the bathrooms.
CONS: Be mindful there’s only 2 comfortable full beds. The sofa beds are not comfortable specially for longer stay, maybe bring a bed Gel Padding to make extra comfortable. Laundry is in the unfinished basement, not my choice of place to enter.
Overall, we definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet getaway!

If you would like a relaxing getaway, with a beautiful view, this is the cottage for you! From beginning to end, Celeste is a wonderful host. She is quick to answer any questions and makes you feel like her home is "your home". The kitchen is well equipped and linens & towels are organized to make things easier for her guests. My family and I grilled, fished, laughed and enjoyed the spectacular lake view. We saw swans, ducks, rowing teams and colorful Fall trees. Thank you, Celeste, for your hospitality. We had a great weekend!

We loved our stay in this clean, tastefully renovated, well stocked, open and comfortable lake house right on the water with beautiful lake views from the large deck or right from inside the house. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and provides guests with so many amenities! We had lots of rain during our stay but still had a good time relaxing by the gas fireplace watching movies or playing some of the board games provided. We liked the location of the cottage as it was the last house at the dead end. Plenty of grassy area for my dog too. After the rainfall, the sound of water flowing down a stream into the lake was a bonus! We enjoyed watching the group of swans everyday too. Hope to stay again sometime as we didn’t get a chance to use the many boats provided.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this very well kept rental. Everything was in excellent shape. The fishing was great and me reading on the deck over looking the lake with boats, rowers, fisherman was wonderful. We are older and I can no longer do stairs so this was the perfect place for a truly wonderful vacation. Thank you, Betsy

House was perfect for my wife, me, and our dog. Very clean and beautiful hang out on the deck. Water in the lake was lower than normal but not an issue at all.
Children and grandchildren stopped by a couple times. They all loved it!
Nice place and last house on the road.

Such a cute home.
Clean and a great view. Parking was a little difficult, but once you get the hang of turning around and backing in, it’s fine.
The owner is so nice and very pleasant to work with.

Highly recommend!
This was our second time staying here and it was again perfect. We stayed very comfortably with 3 adults and 2 young kids. The access to the boats and kayaks gave us so much to do. In the 2 years that we've come here, we have not been disappointed. My kids learned how to kayak here and I'll never forget the joy I saw on their faces. We saw turtles, ducks and big fish right off the dock. The location of the house is great. It's at the end of a road so its quiet with great views. The kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer made life easier. In the mornings, I enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck and watching the row team and birds. In the afternoons, we swam and took little explorations in the boats. Evenings were spent grilling. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. My kids were so excited to return here and so we were.

Relaxing Lake Getaway!
Beautiful and well-kept property! We had a relaxing time on the lake fishing, swimming, and grilling out on the deck. Our dog LOVED the water and swimming in the quiet and peaceful mornings. (We have a pool ramp which we brought to help her in and out of the lake.) The house was clean and the perfect size for our family (3 adults). The only imperfect part I can think of is the couch in the living room was well-worn and could use new cushions (we sank really low while sitting on it). Other than that, it was a lovely stay in a lovely home!

Beautiful, clean house with large deck overlooking the lake. Watch the sunsets from the deck or from the dining room’s large windows. Perfect views. Convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. Well stocked kitchen. Very communicative hosts. They always answered any questions right away. Highway recommended.

Our host, Celeste, was extremely helpful and answered any questions immediately. The house was immaculately clean , a very convenient location and an amazing view from inside and out. The house has a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. There are kayaks etc for use and everything is very well kept. Another convenience is the washer and dryer. We have stayed in many places but this one was exceptional in many ways. I highly recommend staying in this home.
