Esta encantadora y acogedora cabaña de estilo Art Deco de 2 dormitorios se encuentra en una calle muy tranquila en la frondosa Gardenvale, pero a solo unos minutos de Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood, Caufield y St Kilda. We had a great stay at Gardenvale cottages. Everything was super clean and tidy and it had everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The kids loved playing with the toys and the special surprise that was left for them.
There is a really great coffee shop just a few doors down which is very handy and the local shops and supermarkets are only a few minutes away.

Lovely two bedroom property, very tidy on arrival and a warm greeting from Katie. Amenities all in perfect working order. Perfect amount of space for a small family, with Gardenvale Park a short walk away for some outdoor variety. Yard is very safe for small children.
Be aware that the driveway is a little tight if you have a large car, but we were able to park a Carnival in there (just). Street is nice and quiet which makes reversing in easy.

Near impeccable cottage - like a trip back in time
This charming little cottage feels like it belongs in the mid 20th century.. Tastefully decorated with features true to the period, this place is a delight to stay in. The absence of Wi-Fi may be a plus for some travellers. There were a couple of very minor maintenance items that could have improved the experience. Side gate could only be close with the key and the lock was difficult to operate. Equally the fly screen door latch was hard to operate as well. But these were very minor things in the context of the overall property

Very comfortable stay in a great neighbourhood
Charming, clean, quiet and comfortable cottage located in a wonderful neighborhood, with marvellous cafes and restaurants. Smooth communication with the property manager. Easy travel into the city by train, or there are rental car companies just around the corner. The beach is within 30 minutes by foot. We would highly recommend this property.

An excellent place to stay. So flexible with having to cancel twice and then extend at the last minute due to needing to isolate after a civid test.

Art Deco home. We appreciated Katie meeting with us to explain keys etc. and thoughtfully providing us with some milk and a bowl of fruit, ahead of doing our own shopping. Beds comfortable, kitchen well-equipped and the shower, I'm relieved to say, isn't a trickle, but comes on full pelt, something I like! The place is very secure, making us feel extra safe, and very conveniently located near the train station and eateries. The cafe on the corner serves delicious almond croissants! I can highly recommend staying here.

Spotless accommodation in a convenient location
Pleasant and immaculately presented accommodation with a metro railway station very close by. Despite the Nepean Highway nearby noise was never an issue. Very comprehensive instructions for everything and details on local cafes etc. Narrow drive way which took some practise to reverse in to even in a Corolla sized car but a real advantage to parking on the narrow street.

The cottage is nicely furnished and very comfortable. You can see that Katie puts in a lot of efforts :) we appreciated the fruit basket and the tea and coffee. The location is very quiet and the neighbourhood is lovely, there are some nice shops, good cafes and restaurants around. The metro stop is just a few minutes walking distance and the beach is just a few minutes by car. If you are planning a trip to Melbourne stay here! All the little details made us feel a bit more like in a home far away from home, thank you for that! When it was raining Katie even gave us umbrellas :)

After arriving in Melbourne from the U.S., my husband and I inspected dozens of properties in various suburbs but none were as clean, inviting, and well-cared-for as this home. The term "cottage" is appropriate, even though the unit itself adjoins another--the location felt very private, secure, and home-y. We slept well and enjoyed the new appliances. Katie made sure we got situated promptly and comfortably. We will absolutely recommend to friends!

Fantastic cottage accommodaton
A wonderfully set up cottage in a fantastic location. Our host Katie was so warm and friendly and made the whole process a breeze. The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us as a base to head into the city and to our conference in Brighton. The home touches - fresh fruit bowl and some classic books to read were indicative of just how thoughtfully designed the property is. Some delicious restaurants just a stroll away. We will definitely be back to stay again. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay and we will be recommending to our friends and family.
