Spent a wonderful weekend at Susan’s beautiful home with my boyfriend, 2 kids and our dog. Everything was just as the listing stated and the view was absolutely amazing. The weather didn’t cooperate with us to be able to use the outdoor space much, but the living area inside was perfect for games and movies. Everyone wants to come back! Communication with Susan was easy and the binder left in the kitchen had tons of useful information. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This house is right on the water and has spectacular views from the living room and the loft bedroom. The house is also located very close to the Island Rail Trail which worked great for us. Maybe the only negative was the lack of curtains for the top windows which meant the loft bedroom was flooded with light in the morning. Other than that, the house was spectacular and we'd love to stay here again. Thanks so much for having us!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is clean and comfortable with great amenities like kayaks, a canoe, binoculars, lake front property with dock, and fire pit. Perfect location! There is a bike path nearby - great for biking or walking - and tennis courts not far, as well. It's 20 minutes to Burlington, and there's some nice hiking nearby also. Great weekend outdoors!

We were in the area for UVM graduation and this as just the perfect place to stay. The owners thought of everything and the house was spotless. The views look like something out of a magazine! Thank you so much- the weekend was perfect!

This is my third time staying at this wonderful cottage. As my title indicates, it has the most amazing view that changes throughout the day. There are giant windows facing the lake and reclining chairs that allow one to watch kayakers, people in boats, and SO many different types of birds. The cottage is always spic and span clean and very comfortable. The sheets and towels are soft, the beds are comfy, the fridge has extra condiments (like ketchup) so you don't have to buy any, the bathroom has extra toiletries in case you forgot something. One feels very "at home" while staying there. We enjoyed a walk on the Causeway one evening....so nice to have such a lovely walk right around the corner!! Another enjoyable stay, and we hope to be back again soon!

Lovely cottage with big picture window overlooking Lake Champlain. We enjoyed seeing the sunset and sunrise glow on the water and watching all kinds of birds -- egrets, herons, cormorants, loons etc. all around the property. Thoroughly enjoyed this stay!

We planned our stay on Lake Champlain for the total eclipse a year in advance. It was a fabulous location with relaxation inside and great wildlife right outside the amazing windows. Great host communication and hospitality.

wall to wall windows with 180 degree views of the lake and wildlife make it feel like you are part of the scene. So relaxing. Susan even left the basics in the kitchen and fridge and also some fresh flowers! We had a wonderful weekend with our UVM senior.

Perfectly appointed, comfortable and right on the lake. Spectacular views from a cozy, open living space with everything I needed. Felt like being invited to stay with family/friends. Gracious host was easy to reach although I wanted for nothing during my stay. I appreciated the check-in note from her on arrival and departure. Would return to this lovely spot without question!

My wife and I recently stayed at Susan's lake cottage. We chose this listing based on the location and proximity to the causeway. What a great spot!! Its in a very quiet and private neighborhood right on the lake. The cottage was very clean and cozy. Loved that it was dog friendly as well. We would definitely return. Susan was a great host and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Peaceful spot with a beautiful view! Colchester and Winsooki are nice towns and it’s a quick trip into Burlington for a visit and a walk along Lake Champlain. Hosts are very friendly and responsive. Cottage is well equipped (just missing a washer/dryer but we weren’t there long enough to need it) and decorated with many nice touches. Lots of fun outdoor equipment for kids and adults. Overall a very enjoyable getaway. We’d return again.

We enjoyed relaxing in the recliners while enjoying the view - our first night a deer casually walked by- it was amazing! And also watched the hummingbirds in the flowers - property is adorable and we would have liked to stay longer! Host was so kind and attentive!

Perfect location for biking; steps from the causway and trail to Burlington. Quiet beautiful views to relax and enjoy. Beautiful flower gardens. Close to museums if you have a rain day. The accommodations were very nice; the view spectacular. Everything was very clean and neat. Susan made the check-in/check-out process very easy.
The weather was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to ride the bike trail up the causeway and down to Burlington, which was wonderful. Two great restaurants we thoroughly enjoyed in Burlington: Deep City and Honey Road.

Watching the lakefront wildlife was better than Netflix!
Everything was portrayed as promised. Thank you.

This is a lovely cottage right on the bay with gorgeous views and comfortable beds. It was the perfect spot for us to stay to celebrate our UVM graduate over graduation weekend. It's a quick drive to downtown Burlington and a lovely place to retreat to when we needed a break from festivities. I rented it 9 months in advance and I'm glad I did. Susan was a friendly, communicative and responsive host. We'd love to visit again next just to enjoy VT!

The house is quaint, cozy, and full of light. The view is breathtakingly peaceful. We loved every moment of our stay. Bring your bikes, and you can cycle into Burlington on a lovely bike path with beautiful views. We will be back!!

This little cottage was perfect for myself, my partner and our little shih tzu. It was right on a little bay off of Lake Champlain, in a small quiet community. The view of the lake is spectacular, and it is situated in an area that is close to amenities, but secluded enough to be relaxing. The house, itself, is very cute, with lots of windows. It is very well stocked so don't worry if you forget something. And the yard is well taken care of and very comfy and inviting. We very much enjoyed our week there!

Susan was such an accommodating host! She was so sweet and let us check in early and check out late, even letting us book another night when our schedule had changed last minute! The house is so cozy and a short 20 min drive from downtown Burlington. Perfectly nestled away from the city in the most picturesque wintery land and conveniently located near trails and the bike path where we walked the dog every morning! Would highly recommend Sharon’s place for anyone looking for a cozy winter cabin. Can imagine the like offers even more in the summer time!

The cottage is perfect! It’s close enough to town and to Burlington yet far enough away to feel you’ve left your busy life behind. Perfectly situated on Lake Champlain, it’s cozy, quiet, has all the necessities including WI-FI and a television. The kitchen has all the essentials, the beds were comfy and inviting. My sister and myself stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it immensely. The host, Susan is so nice and welcoming, communication was a breeze through the VRBO app. We’re already looking at our calendars so we can schedule another trip!

We loved staying at the cottage. The views and outdoor space were perfect! We also loved the proximity to the walking/bike path (a very short walk away) and Burlington (15 minute drive).

Love this lakeside cottage. Spectacular 180 degree view of Mallet’s Bay. This is our 2nd visit in 1.5 years. Lots of upgrades in that time that made for an even more enjoyable stay. The Causeway is 178 steps from the cottage and this is a huge draw for us for running, biking and walking the dog. Close proximity to all the activities in Burlington, including our alma mater, UVM.

This cottage is a lovely, compact space with two bedrooms and a bath. It was outfitted with everything needed from kitchen to bedroom. The setting is spectacular, sitting right on Lake Champlain with wonderful views that change with the sun. I will come back..

We will be renting here again. The location is amazing and the house is perfect for our family w kids of all ages (adult to elementary school). We could not have asked for more from this home and property manager/owner.

178 steps from the causeway (great walking and bike trail to Burlington and beyond), facility has everything you want, outdoor living by the lake, beautiful unobstructed views inside and out, great toys (boats, bikes, kitchen, grills, fire pit, outdoor bar…). Sheets and towels were great (thanks!).
If you are normal sized folks, you would probably never notice. My son and I are both 6’4”+ and 200+ pounds. We found the beds to be soft and had forgotten how small a full size mattress could be. At least one person spent the night on the floor each night (hideaway 6” short for us). Still, given all the value, I would consider going back again, except maybe bring my own sleeping pad.

I had a wonderful stay at Susan & Bill's lakefront cottage. It is cozy and comfortable. They have provided many extras like fresh cut flowers on the table, cooking necessities like salt/pepper, oil, flour and more, throw blankets, toiletries, recreation equipment, and more. But the best part of their cottage is the view of Mallet's Bay. It was stunning on a cloudy day, rainy day, windy day, and --of course-- on a sunny day. There was a lot of wildlife to observe, and the chairs you can sit in while you watch out the wall of windows could not be more comfy!! It is a magical place, and I hope to return soon

This cottage was a great home away from home. The location and views of the lake as well as Susan's beautiful flower beds were a real highlight of our trip. It was great to return to the cottage after our outings to Burlington, Stowe, Shelburne and South Hero. The use of the bicycles and kayak equipment was much appreciated. Everything was well thought out too as far as guest comfort, from the super soft towels to the various throws for chilly mornings or evenings. We loved Vermont and our stay on Mallets Bay.
