It's clean, comfortable and fun (movie star memorabilia) We were there in the off season and did not get a chance to catch a movie. But how great it would be to see a flick. It's a little off the beaten path, but a 10 minute ride to downtown Burlington.

The Starlight Inn is definitely a unique place. Every room has a movie star theme and I got Marilyn Monroe for my room. Lots of parking, very large rooms and well-stocked bathrooms.

I enjoyed everything. They offer a way to watch movies from the Starlight Inn at the Starlight Drive-In next door, but it is more of a gimmick as your screen looks to be about 4" across, and your audio comes through a clock radio. But, it doesn't detract away from the overall stay.

Rooms were well equipped and the bed was roomy and comfortable. The drive-in was excellent fun, and easy to access.

Big annoyance: we spent $7 to make an international call to find out how to enter our room as the office was not staffed and the only option was to phone. We are international travellers and to make a call we had to access our international package for a whole day, so that was unnecessarily costly. Also lucky we had a signal as for much of our trip we did not. If you are catering for international visitors do take these things into consideration. The office was not staffed for the whole time we were there. I would have thought an email in advance to talk people through the way to access rooms if the office was going to be unstaffed would be a much better option, or staff the office as is usual.

I was a little surprised to find the office locked and no staff on-site, but there was a number to call. Keys had been left for us, and all was excellent.

The room was immaculate and was convenient.

We had to use our phone to check-in someone else in because no one was in office and the other people didn't have a phone. Maybe make sure the person making the reservation has a phone so they can check-in themselves. Also the toilet hand was hard to press and stuck sometimes. Not sure why the price of the room varied so much week to week. We stayed the first week in May and the week after the price would have been $70 less. I can understand if it was graduation weekend but it wasn't.
