My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. I truly feels like someone's home. I loved the small, efficient kitchen and it's well stocked with equipment. There were plenty of hooks and closets to put your things away, and lots of fans. The air conditioners hadn't been placed in the windows yet, but even with humidity and a few warmer days we were comfortable with the abundance of fans. There's also a great record collection.
The problems we had aren't deal breakers for us. There are foam mattress toppers and microfiber sheets on the beds that made us sleep hotter than usual. I'm usually cold at night, but was uncomfortably hot. I'll plan on bringing cotton sheets when we stay here again. The black bed frame has some wood supports under the mattress that are too narrow and fell out twice when my husband sat on the side of the bed. As others have mentioned, there is a strong odor in the single bed room. We didn't use that room and kept the windows open upstairs so it didn't affect us.
I love a clean, cozy, and efficient home and this place fits the bill. We will definitely stay here again!

We very much so enjoyed this home and the environment. The lake is very close to the house, either walk or drive. The home offers nice fluffy towels, and soft TP ( no skimping there, which I appreciate) I highly recommend this home - its one of the top 10 I've stayed in !

We had a great stay at Michael's place. There was not a single thing lacking. The house, kitchen, bathrooms are more than fully stocked. The front porch was a nice place to have an afternoon bottle of wine from the many surrounding wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed the large record collection and reminiscing with the songs. We would definitely stay here again. It's an easy walk to downtown Hammondsport and Michael's recommendations for restaurants and wineries were spot on.

The house was just as it appeared in the photos. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. Location was in a safe neighborhood. The owner provided lots of conveniences like ample clothes hooks, kitchen utensils, towels. Bathroom was clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Easy check in and out,very clean stocked well. Just a suggestion, a house book printed up would be helpful. Other VRBO homes had one and it was needed. It contains things like passwords, what is expected with laundry etc. And explains how to use the TV;s. You can personalize it any way you want, some places have a visitor log to put your information and tell about your stay.

We loved staying at this amazing country home! The KITCHEN was well equipped for cooking. The wifi was strong. Quiet neighbors!! Nice touches in decor. Felt like home. We, as relic recoverists and YouTube personalities LOVED the antique door knob coat rack. We will be replicating that in our home with items that we have unearthed. THANK YOU for a perfect getaway.

The house has everything you need and is in the good location. We walked downtown for breakfast, visited wineries, and met up with friends on the lake. It was a super hot weekend and the AC and fans kept us cool, the bed was comfortable, and we got great sleep while we were there.

Would stay again - if one issue was addressed
This property is better than in the photos! The entire living room has been updated and furnished in a more modern style and for better traffic flow. The decor is tasteful. Kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware. Details - plenty of night lights and window fans, newer bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. In general the house was clean. A huge disappointment was the very strong smell of animal urine in the twin bedroom (seemed it was coming from the area rug in there). It almost had me sleeping on the couch but I decided to cover the area with lysol sprayed bath towels and sleep with the fans on high. Aside from this, or if you wouldn't need to use the twin bedroom at all, I would definitely recommend this place for your Hammondsport vacation.

Great Return Visit
This was our second stay at this location this summer. We really appreciated the comfort of the beds, the air conditioners and the small things like shampoo in the shower! Great location and very homey feeling. We will definitely stay there again when we are in NY.

We had an amazing, relaxing stay at this property. The house was perfect and centrally locates to wineries, restaurants and the state park. We were able to have an enjoyable weekend away. Nice home base for Keuka exploring
My family of 5 stayed here for a few nights while we visited Keuka Lake, and it was a perfect for what we needed. It’s a 10min walk to downtown Hammondsport, a 15min walk to Depot Park on Keuka where we spent most of our time, and a short drive to places like Bully Hill, Steuben Brewing Co. and plenty of places that offer outdoor service.

Charming and comfortable
We booked this house for our visiting family to give us all more space during their week vacation. They commented everyday on how much they loved it, especially its historic character and welcoming touches like fresh flowers. The location on a quiet residential street in the village of Hammondsport was perfect. Everything was clean and worked well. They booked it for their return trip in August. Although there were a couple of minor inconveniences (sharing one bathroom; lack of AC for bedrooms other than the MBR during a heat wave), the family felt these were overshadowed by the charm and comfort of the house. The other bedrooms did have fans and probably would be comfortable during nights that were less extremely hot.

Autumn weekend
Great experience! Property was very clean and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was there. We had a couple of cold rainy nights so the turntable and large assortment of albums were so much fun. Would definitely recommend.

The property was clean as could be. Very comfortable and homey.

Just maybe a little stronger bulbs for reading in living room and light in dining room bulb a little stronger.
Also fan light in bedroom straight up stairs straight ahead did not work. And fan in other bedroom back of home seemed not to throw any air even on high setting.
Other wise very charming and loved it. Neighbors sweet too.

46 Davis Keuka Lake
We had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The house was clean and stocked with all the necessities and very conveniently located in town and most of all very reasonably priced. The house is perfect for two couples and the first ones there get the bedroom with the TV. Both larger bedrooms had small a/c’s that kept rooms comfortable throughout the stay. The barbecue was a welcome sight as we bought ribs and chops for a couple of nights dinners. What a surprise to find a self contained record turntable with hundreds of albums just to bring back memories. We never met the owners but I’m sure we would have lots in common. The Keureg machine topped the whole experience off. This was our first home away experience but won’t be our last. Five stars,thank you home away and Michael the owner.

This was the perfect house for a weekend visit. It was very clean and the kitchen had every pot and utensil you could ever need. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom nice. The turntable with supply of records was a nice bonus. The walk into town was easy. I would rent here again!
