This property was amazing. Everything about it was immaculate. Check in was super easy. Mary was super responsive when messaging. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. It was a great location for exploring western Sonoma Valley and Sebastopol. We will definitely be back.

We had an enjoyable three-night stay at Mary's Guest House. The house had everything we needed, right down to fresh ground coffee in the fridge, and was walking distance to town and many great restaurants and other attractions. We appreciate that Mary checked in with us to make sure everything was OK, and we especially enjoyed the private deck out back. We won't hesitate to stay there again if we're ever back in Sebastopol.

Everything about this place was as good or better than we expected. Mary has done a wonderful job stocking her place with all of the essentials to make you feel like you are at home. We loved how light and bright it was and the quiet privacy of the large outdoor patio. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Stayed here in 2019, and plan to return again next month: excellent communication with hosts, easy walking in up town, and wonderful quiet central neighborhood.

For exploring the coast and Sonoma area. Perfection fitted out accommodations in an interesting small town.

As the pictures show, this apartment is very attractive; what pictures can't show is how comfortable it is and how helpful Mary, our host, was! We spent more than a week at this property, and we enjoyed every minute. It was so convenient to have a well-appointed kitchen, lots of closet space, extra linens, and even a washer and dryer! As well, the description doesn't tell you how great the location is. It's two blocks from Florence Avenue, which features wonderful sculptures by Patrick Amiot. It's also walking distance to downtown and the Barlow. Really, this place is fantastic.

The house is very nice, with high ceilings, latest appliances, great heating and cooling and a comfy but firm bed. Mary was super nice, and we had a great time. The closeness to Santa Rosa means there's plenty to do for a short stay, and there are plenty of restaurants around town!

Cozy accommodation

Everything was perfect! No complaints at all. The cottage was comfortable, clean, well equipped, and stocked with everything I needed, even coffee (both regular and decaf). It was a good base for exploring the coast and the redwoods and all the surrounding towns, and I also liked just hunkering down and reading there in the afternoon after a morning out exploring or antiquing. I would be happy to go back any time.

My wife and I had a great time staying at this location. It was just the right size for both of us and had all the amenities to be able to cook meals, etc. The neighborhood was quaint and within walking distance of the downtown, with many homes having various metal sculptures from a local artist.

Walked to restaurants and shopping. Really cool neighborhood with unique sculptures everywhere. Beautiful accommodations. Close to ocean, redwoods, wineries. The small wineries are the best.

Great property and location for a Sonoma visit! Mary was very helpful and accommodating- she checked on us to make sure all was to our liking and was available whenever we had a question or needed something. We’re ready for a return visit!

Start to finish - amazing stay

The property is ideally located and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Comfortable and quiet cottage that was nicely decorated, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed spending time on the outdoor porch area.

We loved staying at Mary's Guest House for our return to Sonoma County. We usually stay near the Sonoma Square or in Glen Ellen, but really wanted to be in a town closer to the Pacific Ocean. (Only a 20 minute drive!) Mary's home was the perfect choice for our plans. Walking into downtown Sebastopol was a nice bonus too. The home itself is well appointed and clean. It sits behind and next to her own home, but with plenty of privacy for her and for her guests. Mary is easy to reach via text and prompt in her replies. She greeted us in person upon arrival. We are a couple who prefers have our evening meals at home when we travel. We make an easy dinner with some delicious wine, therefore, the porch/deck with a dining table and umbrella was perfect for our alfresco meals. The Pacific Market is a great shop for all your food provisions you might need for your stay. There are also plenty of good restaurant choices for all meals, which you can find in the "Welcome" binder in the home. Make a point to drive up the coast, and visit Bodega Bay and hike the Bodega Head with it stunning ocean views. Now our secret is out! We love Mary's Guest House and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Sonoma County.

with only a small snafu on the address of the property this was otherwise a wonderful stay at a clean, fresh and stylish cottage. the neighborhood is worth a few walks around to see eclectic art installations, the Barlow and farmers market. the owner is a pure delight.
