The Marlin House in Talkeetna
Une belle petite maison dans la ville pittoresque de Talkeetna en Alaska. J'ai commencé ce projet en espérant y prendre ma retraite mais, comme nous le savons tous, les choses changent. J'ai passé la plus grande partie de 4 ans à construire cette maison et à en faire le meilleur. Il offre 1 chambre avec un lit king size, un canapé-lit pour 2 personnes, une cuisine complète, une salle de bain complète avec buanderie et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite. Il y a beaucoup d'activités dans la région, y compris la pêche, la chasse, la visite touristique, la randonnée et le vélo. Les restaurants et les pubs de Talkeetna sont parmi les meilleurs, notamment Denali Brewing, la deuxième plus grande brasserie d’Alaska et à seulement 15 minutes à pied de la maison.

During our 9-day stay in Alaska, this was our favorite place we stayed. The cabin was super cozy, quiet, well appointed, with a super king bed. Best of all, a nice living area where we could stretch out and relax. Big TV, dining table and really nice kitchen. Best of all, the pillows were great and not like the flat pancake ones in hotel rooms. We would stay here again for sure!

We had lots of room and we were close to town but in a quiet place without train or plane noise. The washer and dryer were handy, and the host provided much-appreciated extra service in getting an item back to us that we left. My Keurig-dependent wife struggled a bit to remember how to make coffee the old-fashioned way, but otherwise we had everything we needed. 5 stars.

Perfect spot to relax for a few days! The house was clean and equipped with everything needed to be comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet but within walking distance to downtown. Appreciated all the extra amenities!! Highly recommend staying here while exploring Talkeetna.

We had a great stay and the reason why I gave a lower overall was because our room wasn’t clean when we got it due to a mixup. This was resolved after calling and having someone come in to straighten up. We were happy that they were quick to fix up everything and we would stay there again.

Nice property in the woods. No closets to store the cleaning and maintenance items so they were thrown up on refrigerator. It was well supplied though. Outside needed some maintenance too. Overall we liked it and was good value for the area. Thank you!

The cabin is comfortable with a nice bed. We were happy to have a washer/dryer to do laundry before going on our cruise.

First time in Alaska and chose Talkeetna as base camp for a few days to explore Denali. Did not disappoint! Beautiful weather, adventures and cabin just minutes from downtown. Cabin was well maintained and looked just as advertised in the listing. Would certainly stay again if ever back in Talkeetna. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin!

This rental was just what we needed, a quiet, comfortable, clean stay in Talkeetna. Convenient to nearby amenities. It's a bit of a drive as a stop before Denali, we got up very early to drive up, so something to keep in mind. The town is quaint, with a great view of the Alaska Mountain Range. I would definitely recommend this rental. The only thing really missing was that I did not find specific check-out instructions, like trash disposal, etc. unless I missed it. Great property, great location!!

Only stayed for one night, but would stay again in a heartbeat. Unit was clean, new, beautiful! Enough space for four people, easy. Bathroom was large. Bedroom has a king bed. Couch has a pull out bed and so does the ottoman. That was a nice touch as two of the guests could sleep separately. It was only a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Talkeetna (we're slow walkers!). One of my friend's left her make up bag at the unit. The owner promptly contacted me to try to arrange to get it back which I thought was above and beyond. Overall, would stay here again!!

Jared’s immaculate and comfortable home was the perfect stopping point for us on our way to Denali. His house was easy to find. Didn’t have time to explore Talkeetna but looks fun.

Probably the nicest VRBO I’ve stayed in. Clean and extremely well stocked. They thought of everything! Full kitchen was super convenient, bathroom was great. Plenty of linens. Bonus pullout bed in the ottoman which we didn’t discover until our last day. Would stay here again if we come back to Talkeetna. Recommend Sheldon Air for Denali flight and Mile High Pizza, Burger Barn, Conscious Coffee, and Candy Breakfast for eating.

What an amazing rental! It was spotless, had every amenity you could imagine, and communication with the host was fantastic. This rental is located minutes from historic downtown Talkeetna. I would definitely stay here again!

Loved our stay here. Property is clean and has everything you might need. There is a king bed in the bedroom. It also has a queen sized and a twin sized sleeper sofa available for extra guests and plenty of extra linens. Blackout shades in all areas. Cannot think of anything else this place would need. There is even pump hand soaps at all sinks. Great stay!

Cabin was clean and good sized. We walked to to town for dinner and live music. Our two teens enjoyed not having to share a bed (pull out couch and hide a bed ottoman in living room). Private location in the woods. Will book again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay in the wonderful cabin in Talkeenta. It was very well appointed and comfortable. It was very conveniently located to quaint downtown Talkeetna. The owner, Jared, was quick to answer any questions and was very helpful. If we are ever in Talkeetna, AK we will definitely stay here again!

What a perfect cabin for our short stay in Talkeetna. The cabin was absolutely spotless and all the amenities you could ask for were there. The cabin itself was so cozy and homey. Wish we could of stayed a little longer.

This place was great with all the amenities we were looking for. Well stocked kitchen and clean, spacious rooms. We were comfortable the whole time. Bed was comfy and the shower water pressure was better than at home! Highly recommend.

This property is our favorite of all of the bookings we've had. It's extremely comfortable, we appreciated the spacious living room and great mattress. The house is immaculate and the appliances are new. We were very grateful for the use of a washer and dryer.
It's well located and it's easy to get into town or head back out to Route 3.

We spent 3 night and loved it! The cabin is even better in person. So nice, clean and well stocked. Even has a washer/dryer. The king size bed is comfortable and the blinds block out the near constant light (for this time of year). Great place to stay to be close to Denali and to Anchorage. The town of Talkeetna is full of great food, shops and things to do. Jared was great and always responsive to my question. I would come back here for sure!
