The QR system to get past the security gate was not working. We never could get the QR code. Sat at the security gate with paradise on the phone and still could not get QR. the person on the phone lied and said it was a county issue. No truth there. The security guard took my phone that I had down loaded the app so she physically wrote me a pass. Also be aware the path to the house is all sand so hard to pull anything on. We made friends with the people staying in the main house and they were nice to let us use the drive way to walk back and forth on. The kitchen needs way more utensils and bowls. When at the beach we eat seafood. There was not a deveiner or shell crackers. The location was great. So close to the beach.

Had a very nice stay at Sol Surfer. Perfect for a couple or a couple with small children. The house was clean and well maintained. It is so close to the beach and a one minute walk to the big heated pool. There is ample parking in front of the main house. Will be coming back soon!

Nice little house, close to the beach walkover. Very clean, and very comfortable bed!! It was small, but perfect for just the two of us. Would recommend for a couple. It is the "carriage house", directly behind the main house, so you have to walk through the driveway of the main house every time you go in or out. We were aware of this when we booked it, but it's just important to note if you're considering booking. You have to park in front of the main house (not in the driveway) which again was no problem for us. We actually met the owners of the house during our stay and they were very kind and welcoming! We have been going to Carillon for many years and absolutely love the community!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Sol Surfer and found it perfect for a couple. Fully stocked kitchen was so nice to have and the house is at a great location within Carillon Beach. The beach is pretty with its white sand and beautiful aqua blue waves. We will return!

Loved our time at Sol Surfer! Cozy carriage house perfect for 2-4 people and very close to the beach. The bathroom was recently remodeled and is beautiful. Love the fact that it had a full kit and washer and dryer. We didn't want to leave!

Good location. Just a short walk to the crystal clear beach. Loved the surrounding area and it was not crowded with people. Only recommendation would be to have a couple more pots and pans for cooking along with more cooking utensils. I would highly recommend.

Sol Surfer was the perfect little house. The house was clean and bright. Just steps away from the walkover to the beach. The only recommendation I would have is maybe stock the kitchen better. There were no baking sheets or casserole dishes. No serving spoons or larger spoons to cook with. I highly recommend using Parardise Properties Vacation Rentals to book. They were so helpful and always available whenever I had a question. Overall though an amazing place to stay for vacation!

My family and I enjoyed our time in the quaint space. It was the perfect location and area for us to find ourselves quickly doing some of our favorite things. The space was accommodating and there were thoughtful efforts to make the stay comfortable. We will definitely look to come back again!

Perfect location but the unit did smell like smoke when I checked in. The property manager promptly responded to my concern and brought an ozone machine in the unit. While this did help initially, the smell returned but not as strong. I do think the unit could use a fresh coat of paint and maybe change the air filters. The kitchen was well stocked (minus a cutting board) and the bed was comfortable.

Clean, classy, and simply sweet abode for two. A short walk from the beach. Beautiful sunny days. I just wish there were hangers for clothes and a good dryer, but those are minor.

We’ve been coming to Carrillon for over 10 years and this is a great little find. Has everything you need and a short walk to the beach. Loved the outside shower and the bucket of toys. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for a great stay.

Cozy escape
While the the property is quite small, it was just fine for a family of four (2 kids ages 3 and 6). The location is unbeatable and it’s a short walk to the beach. We love carillon and would stay here again!

Amazing Location, a few upgrades needed.
The location was amazing! Beautiful neighborhood with beach access just steps away. Loved using the heated pools as well! We took morning walks daily and enjoyed the safety of the gated community.
The unit itself is nice. Kitchen is well equipped, the living space is nice, and the bedroom and bathroom were a good size. A few upgrades needed in my opinion, listed below.
- Bath towels were tiny and not soft
- Shower had horrible water pressure and didn’t get very warm. Didn’t make for a relaxing experience.
- Washer / dryer is ancient and tiny - which wouldn’t bug me if it worked well. Had to run each load 2-3 times. Smelled a bit moldy.
- Throw pillows need to be upgraded. They shed feathers constantly.
- We didn’t find the bed to be comfortable, but that’s personal preference.
- Light shines in from the back deck by the grill if left on by the main house guests. Really hard to sleep despite there already being a (relatively useless) paper shade put up to try to avoid this problem. Luckily it only happened to us one night.
- We used the driveway to walk back and forth from the unit but you’re “supposed” to use the sandy walkway. Not easy to use either way. Either walking in the sand, or weaving in and out of cars and bikes.
- TV should be a smart TV in 2022, and it wasn’t
- WiFi worked half the time which was disappointing
Sounds really negative but it was a great time despite our issues. Would rent in the neighborhood again but not this unit. Check in time is also a bit late, and check out is early.

Great little house
The house made for a perfect last minute vacation. The location was great. We have stayed in many different houses in carralon over the years and I think I like the location of this one the best. Sort walk to the beach. Short walk to the park/ pool. And not that bad of a walk to the Cafe and shipwreck. We were lucky enough to meet the owners while we were there, such great people. They did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The house is small perfect for a couples get away but my wife and I and our 2 kids still stayed in it very comfortably. We will definitely be booking this place again.

Small, but sweet
This property is a small space, but had all the basic amenities needed for a week at the beach. The accessibility to the pool and beach was phenomenal. The pull-out sofa was decently comfortable. The only negative is the access to the carriage house is mildly inconvenient, as they request that you use the side path (sand) vs the driveway so as not to disturb the guests staying in the main house. This meant I had to roll our heavy suitcases down a sandy path on arrival and departure. Otherwise, everything was great!

Beautiful cozy home maybe just a tad bit tight for our family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids 8&10) due to the size bed. ( Queen and sleeper sofa )The location of the carriage house was exactly a 2 min walk from the walkover 3. Only thing that i was not impressed with was the cleanliness of the place maybe I'm just a neat freak but when we opened the sleeper sofa there was trash under the sofa and lots of dust balls throughout the living room which i understand has nothing to do with the owner but maybe just the cleaning service.Sheets and bedding was provided and clean ,kitchen fully equipped. Another downside was that we couldn't park our car in the driveway as there were guests in the front house so the entire time we parked on the street which we later learned isn't allowed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan on returning

Great carriage house, easy beach access
Great carriage house with easy beach access. A little hiccup when we arrived with house not being cleaned after prior renters and unfortunately it was after 11 pm and could not be handled until the next morning. Property Management did take care of it promptly the next morning. Only complaint about the actual property is if someone is staying in the main house and they leave the back porch light on the bedroom is like daylight all night while you are trying to sleep due to the transom windows. Other than that the carriage house was great!

Carillon Beach Sol Surfer
This one bedroom beach cottage more than sufficed for a family of 4. The layout is reversed-so it’s a little different, but we made it work. The only complaint is there is no separate entrance to the property but up the driveway of the main house (realized this on booking, but experiencing it was awkward). The cost was marginally better (cost efficient) because of this.
