Well-presented and set-up for families, we had a wonderful time, and especially enjoyed using the kayak that was supplied (we had brought the kids' own as well).
Only thing to note is that Google maps takes you to the wrong esplanade (on the other side of Toogoom, about 5 minutes away) - best to type in Moreton St and follow that through to the end.

Great little 3 bedroom place across the 'road' from Beelbi Creek overlooking the bay. Very relaxing watching the tide rise & fall making land appear & disappear. Some great fishing as well without a boat required.
Fully stocked kitchen & good bathroom with great shower.
FYI Lots of equipment, games & books for young children.

I stayed at Jack's Shack with my 2 little ones for 5 nights in Jan 2023. I was happy to discover that Woolworths in Hervey Bay deliver to Toogoom, so organised groceries to be delivered on the afternoon of our arrival. The house had everything we needed and more and had beautiful breezes throughout. I loved the serenity and tapping out from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We definitely hope to go back.

Beachfront and away from life's interruptions
We love Jack's Shack! The view of the ocean directly across the road is spectacular. It's not near any urban setting, just a small village. There's a cafe and restaurant just up the road but no major shops. Limited internet access. Perfect if you want to get away from it all.

Very comfortable. Kitchen well appointed. Layout user friendly & very open to allow appreciation of the views. Cycling distance to shop & kayak launching ramp not to far up the road. All in all, pretty good value for money.

A little bit of Paradise
Ideally located for a quiet time away from the shops, traffic and everyday rush, but close enough to everything for convenience. Beautiful views of the ocean across the road that changed constantly depending on tides. The accommodation was modern, very well appointed for any contingency. Not your standard limited utensils. It had everything you would need for a large family or for friends to visit. We loved and are already planning our next visit.

Jacks shack is a modern house in a perfect location. Toni and Russ were a pleasure to deal with and made us feel welcome in their beautiful holiday home. We all loved our holiday and will definitely be back to Toogoom and Jacks Shack will be our first option for accommodation.

Perfect property and beautiful location
We had a fabulous stay at Jack’s Shack. The property was perfect and views amazing. The only downside was we couldn’t stay longer! The fishing was great and kids loved low tide walking on the beach and watching the beautiful turtles float by. Lovely and friendly neighbours also. We would love to return again soon. Don’t Miss Out !
Jack’s Shack offered us all we needed for a relaxing long Weekend. The position overlooking the water, plus a short walk to excellent Cafes. The Salty Squid was outstanding for Breakfasts and Lunch.
We enjoyed kayaking ( 2 provided)and exploring the surrounding area.
The Shack itself has been beautifully updated. We will be back!

The house is bigger then it looks in the photos, really well equipped for families and the view from the house was spectacular. Great spot to fish, boat and kayak or just relax and enjoy the view.

Great place to relax
Perfect for our family, plenty of room to be together without getting under each other's feet. It's an easy stroll to Goody's, and the local wildlife is fantastic - we had turtles floating past the house, and a pair of white-bellied sea eagles that cruised by every afternoon. We're planning a return visit in winter, because I'm sure it will be just as lovely then.

Perfect location for family getaway
We stayed 4 nights at Jack's Shack and it was the perfect spot for our family. House was beautifully presented and super clean on check in. Everything we need for our little ones was there including a cot, high chair and plenty of toys. Location was great- boat ramp just down the road, and great fishing from the front of the house. This was our first time renting a holiday house and the experience was so easy!

Needs sidelamps, side tables & mirrors in bedrooms & muted lighting in the dining areas. Windows need cleaning. Extractor Fans need to be installed in toilet & bathroom. Generally clean & well presented. Quite well stocked pantry.

Stunning views with peace & quiet.
A very well appointed property with a view that keeps on giving. Beds and linen are first class. Super clean with modern fitout.
Plenty of room for kids to play and/or extra cars and boats.
"Goody's on the Beach" cafe and restaurant is 5 minute walk away and highly recommended for breakfast and lunch. Not always open so check ahead.

Fantastic family getaway!
Roomy and comfortable, with a gorgeous view out over the water. The house had everything we wanted to keep the kids busy while so the parents could relax and unwind. Great location, quite and relaxing, but close enough for little day trips into Hervey Bay or up to Burrum Heads. Just a perfect little holiday for us. Couldn't be happier!
