Authentic country village experience. Warm welcoming hospitality. I had everything I needed, except a coffee maker/press/machine, even though there was coffee and paper filters.
No coffee maker/press/ machine. Leaky tap in the kitchen, but not a big problem.

Very big apartment
Very hard to find, no sign showing the place, not on GPS. Needed help of local people to find the house. Do not recommend to get there at night, tricky to find

Great place to stay while in Flores. The island is small so not having facilities nearby the apartment is not a problem at all. You can find restaurants and shops at just 10 minutes by car. Car is necessary to move around the island anyway.
The apartment is nice and well equipped, and the owner Susana is always ready to help. Highly recommended.

The hosts were diligent.
Old, dark, cold and damp apartment with an unpleasant smell inside apartment . Bad mattresses. High price for the offered discomfort.

Ther communication with the host was good, thought only in portugese. The house was oppened and the keys were on the table together with a bottle of nice red wine. Thanks for that:)
The house is big (too big for 2 travellers) and too cold. It would need some renovation and in particular the matress would have to be replaced. The village is remote, without any place even to have a coffee. The address on Booking is wrong, so we had some troubles to find the place.

This is a spacious apartment with the basics you need to cook, sleep and shower. It feels slightly care worn, probably ready for an update - or at least a good clean in the kitchen and bathroom. As the hosts state, there is no WiFi and the nearest shops and restaurants are 7km / about 15 minutes drive away - with fantastic views on the drive into Santa Cruz, but hardly so at the property. If you are travelling on a budget and don't need all the luxuries and conveniences on your doorstep, this property is very good value for money.

The apartment is in a great location overlooking the coast. It is good value and easily reachable by car and even by bus which stops nearby (but only on weekdays). Well stocked kitchen and a lounge to relax in and eat dinner.
Got pretty chilly at night so really needs some small heaters for the colder nights. Some of the lights weren't working. Wifi only works in a few specific places because of the thickness of the walls so some signal extenders would be useful
