A propos de ce cabane standardrental
Private lake front cottage with spectacular views & private dock/swimming area.

The host thought of everything, fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, lake facing screened porch that we practically lived in. We will definitely return for another stay!

Just a perfect place with gorgeous views in this marvelous cabin built in the 30s right on the lake. The don’t make them like this anymore. It has everything you need. Beyond that was both a lovely sitting dock and a launch dock. The screen porch was just beyond any I have been on. Hosts were kind, accessible, and caring. Will be coming back for sure.

Clean and beautiful location! Really enjoyed our stay! Clair was a gracious and communicative host. The lake was beautiful to take in from the dock and porches. And trips to the close by Martha’s Dandee Cream were made frequently!

Great cottage for a nice getaway. Easy access to both quaint Glens Falls and the larger more active Lake George. East access to multiple hikes with beautiful views of the lakes and Hudson. Fantastic lake views and access out the back door.

A very cool little location. Right on the lake, close to Saratoga, Lake George, etc. The hosts were super nice. The upstairs section can get a little warm, but the downstairs was just perfect. Excdllent access to running/biking trails.

Anniversary weekend, it was quiet and peaceful like we had hoped for. Wanted a place near Warrensburg to attend the garage sale, but not too close, was perfect. We enjoyed the lake, fishing off the dock & using the kayaks. Everything was here, we just brought our clothes. We loved this cabin made out of stone - historic, rustic and cozy. The screened in porch overlooking the lake was our favorite area. Thank you so much!

The house is well equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. The screened in porch is wonderful. My partner and I slept on the futon since my partner is a big guy 6 4 and it was a better fit. My only recommendation would be some new pillows. We ordered pizza one night from Crave. The pizza was excellent with quick delivery. The location was perfect.

Claire was am amazing host, and the cabin was exactly as described, if not better. It had all of the conveniences we could have asked for, and everything was in excellent condition.

Glen Lake was beautiful and we and our dogs loved swimming and floating in the water everyday. The cottage was great. The AC in the bedrooms kept the main level cool also. Would stay again.

The house was as described and everything you needed was there. The lake was fabulous for swimming and floating around. My daughter used her new paddle board. We had a wonderful week!

Spent a nice enough weekend at the lake; the house was nice and well stocked with appliances, sheets, etc. The only drawback was that someone nearby was operating very loud machinery for hours at a time during the day. It was sufficiently loud that after a while we just had to get out to avoid the noise.

Needed to get back and forth to Saratoga from a place that let our pup stay. This checked all the boxes. Glad we stayed.

The property was absolutely beautiful and so quiet! Claire was quick to respond to all our questions, even when we managed to lock ourselves out. She was amazing with our 120lb dog, which he greatly appreciated.
Even with it raining all weekend, we very much enjoyed sitting in the enclosed porch looking out on the lake.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your cottage. We hope to visit again!

Very cozy, rustic cabin with a beautiful water view. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves and enjoy sitting by the fire pit in the evening. Shopping outlets and winery nearby were also a plus for my mom and I. We had a wonderful girls getaway!

Clair was a stellar host. Booking, check-in, and check-out were simple and well outlined.
Property itself was clean and quiet. Glen Lake was beautiful and we were not blinded by sunrise or sunset, which was great for us.
The entire area was nice, highly recommend the drive up to Lake Placid, I-73 is gorgeous... scenery that is. Also highly recommend the Schroon Sandwich Shop off of Lake Schroon.
Overall, great area and and one of the best vacations I've had.

Cons
-Pervasive and persistent musty smell (tried lighting scented candles, it helped a bit)
-Small 3rd bedroom had awful smell(daughter had to leave early cuz she couldn’t sleep there)
-scenery was tranquil, noise levels were not
-construction starts at 6:45 am, (houses being built nearby) trying to hear the loons early in the morning was difficult
-hosts were fixing dock while we were there and it was super loud for a couple of days
-children next door were extremely loud, forced us to work inside
If we had a couple of young kids, and we’re on vacation, the place would’ve been great. But we were looking to decompress and remotely work so it wasn’t a good match. We ended up getting up at 5 am just to have a couple of hours when it was peaceful, tgat time was indeed lovely.

The house had a direct access to the lake, a couple of kayaks, a small pier and a swimming area - for us, it was the most convenience we could ask from a rental property. Add to it, that it was close to both hiking trails and civilization, which made it just perfect. We didn't visit Six Flags and didn't go to Lake George, but both of those attractions are also super close. So, maybe the next time ..
The house itself even if not huge, but had everything the three of us needed. The owner's responsiveness was just amazing - Clair provided upfront all the information we needed for the arrival and checking in. The binder in the house had all the answers we might have about the property, the lake, the surroundings, the shops, restaurants, pets, etc. I guess Clair and Rob being rented this house for at least 16 years, already knew all the questions the guests might have and preemptively answered them.
The whole experience was just wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was peaceful, private, right on the lake and yet close to attractions, fine dining, and shopping. The lake is clean, clear and beautiful. I’m sure we’ll be back!

We had a wonderful time at the this beautiful retreat! It’s quiet and in the woods - yet close to everything Lake George has to offer. Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved jumping off the dock, and we enjoyed using the kayak and paddle boats. Claire was very welcoming and accommodating. We absolutely recommend this as a retreat with lots around to do.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!
What a wonderful getaway! We enjoyed everything about our stay. This was our second time and we will be back for a 3rd, 4th etc. The property is enchanting, safe, beautiful views. Much better than anything on Lake George.

Blissful getaway
My family of 4 needed a respite from the hussle and bustle of life in Northern Virginia, just outside of DC. Clair's vacation home on Glen lake provided the quiet sanctuary that we were looking for. The home was perfect for the 4 of us and provided quiet mornings with a cup of coffee and amazing views out all the windows of the lake, blissful days swimming and taking in the scenery and serene evenings playing board games in the screened in porch. I highly recommend this amazing getaway!!! Thanks Clair!
