From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking views that surrounded the property. The apartment is situated in such a way that every window offered a picturesque panorama of the mountains, creating a sense of tranquility and beauty.One of the standout features of this apartment is its fully equipped amenities, which made it the perfect choice for a long stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything one could need to prepare meals. What truly sets this apartment apart is the owner, Joel. He answered all of my inquiries promptly and provided detailed information about the apartment. The location of the apartment is another major highlight. It is conveniently situated near popular destinations such as Monte Carlo, Nice, and Eze, allowing for easy access to a wide range of attractions and activities.

Joel (owner) very responsive and Patricia (caretaker) gave a warm welcome. Very spacious apartment, top (4th) floor of grand building in tiny village. The place was well cleaned just prior to arrival and smlled nice and fresh. Fantastic views over valley and sea in far distance, very short distance from bus stop (# 15: Sospel-Menton), restaurant and small shop (limited local products) next door. Very comfortable large bed (2.0 x 1.8 m), large comfy couch (also sofa bed), plenty crockery/utensils, lots of left behind spices, herbs, oils etc. to facilitate own cooking.

Only downside (beyond control of owner): traffic noise (road Sospel/Menton) can be disturbing. But only with balcony doors open, when closed there is great silence.

It is a nice apartment located in the mountains in an old village about 20 min from Menton, it is a very familiar place, comfortable with a nice sea view; has everything you need for a long stay and a good location to explore the sea and mountain area. The communication with Joel and Patricia was effective and friendly. We will surely come back and of course it is highly recommended, for us nothing is wrong with this place.

Amazing location, better views, unique quaint village of artists, enough space for 3 adults and a young child, and not far from Menton and Nice and the core d’azur in general.

Not a problem for us, but there are a fair few stairs to take into consideration for those will less mobility than others.

The village of Castillon is quite a gem. The view was awesome. The living room was very nice.

Bathroom and toilet urgently need an upgrade. For students this might be ok, but not for holiday making. The bed reminded me on my days in the army. Getting the keys was complicated. We needed to ask here n there to finally find the right person to assist.

Only the first drive up the hill was scary

beds and towels were clean, view from rooms was great, free parking available nearby, wifi worked well, owner response was quick and good

kitchen was not so clean (little smelly), apartment was on 4th floor with no lift/elevator - only narrow stair access so it was difficult to take up heavy luggage, no lock for bathrooms or toilet doors,
