Nouvelle construction sur la propriété Lake Bluff Preserve surplombant le lac Michigan avec des escaliers et une échelle de corde pour atteindre 1000 pieds de plage au fond de notre falaise. Belles vues de chaque pièce du chalet et petite terrasse privée.
Le chalet Poplar a une entrée privée mais est rattaché à un chalet plus grand appelé Spruce. Il peut être loué séparément ou par un groupe important dans l’épicéa avec des portes communicantes reliant les cottages aux étages principal et de la chambre.
Nouvelle construction deux chambres, 1. 5 salles de bains peut accueillir 6 dans des lits et a un grand canapé et un canapé-lit pour accueillir un peu plus. Une cuisine moderne entièrement équipée avec de nouveaux appareils en acier inoxydable ouverts sur l'espace de vie du rez-de-chaussée permet aux cuisiniers de rester dans l'action. Les activités de plein air abondent sur la propriété, notamment la randonnée, le VTT, la natation, la raquette, le ski de fond et l'observation de la faune. L'aigle à tête blanche, le faucon à queue rousse, les faucons, le cerf de Virginie, le lynx roux et le vautour dindon sont des visiteurs assidus.

We loved location and views. Close to many cute towns and good restaurants. The best part was that there were a few days we had entire property to ourselves. My brother and sister-in-law came over from Cadillac to spend a few days with us. It was a nice time.

Perfect
This is exactly what we wanted. A quiet beautiful setting for a long weekend out of town. The place was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed. We got lucky and had the entire property to ourselves. It might have been weird to share with other vacationers but maybe not! And being late April it didn’t matter to us that there was no lake access. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

Great location and host, spectacular views
We really enjoyed our stay at Poplar. Clean and very well-stocked, with comfortable beds. The views from the bluff and the shared deck are spectacular. We saw some fantastic sunsets. There was nobody else in the adjacent houses, so we had privacy. A grocery store and restaurants in Frankfort were a 5-7 min drive away.
Our only hiccup was that internet was a bit slow and erratic the first couple of days, which made it tough to do some work-related calls. But the owners were *very* responsive, and suggested alternative options (e..g, offered us alternate spaces). We will be back!

The suite was modern, and the kitchen was stocked with plates, silverware, and the pizza pan we needed. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and we were even surprised to see a washer and dryer upstairs. Hosts made reservations, and our check-in super easy.
Nice proximity or a short drive to downtown Frankfort too - it felt remote but accessible to the town. Will definitely return.

Better communication needed!
We learned 3 days into our stay that a wedding was taking place as multitudes of people and cars started to show up on property (more than the property should legally accomodate). What started out as a beautiful, peaceful stay turned loud and disruptive. The property manager ended up refunding our final night's charge when we said we were leaving early. They said that they normally inform guests up front/in advance about large groups of other guests being on property at the same time in the spirit of full disclosure. Apparently, they sent us a message through VRBO the same day we were en route to check in! We didn't get that message timely, unfortunately. It is a beautiful place and we might try it again, but the property manager needs to get its act together! We should have known weeks in advance of this disturbance so that we could have planned appropriately.

A Hidden Gem!
What a beautiful property and facility - 5 stars all around! I couldn't be more happy with everything at Lake Bluff Preserve. The views of the lake high above from the bluff are absolutely stunning and can be viewed from the windows of the house, outside the back door with plenty of room to roam, and the landing deck a short walk from the house puts you right on the water's edge. Enjoyed the sunset from this vantage point every night! The house was fresh, new and very clean and had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. The property managers were welcoming at check in, quickly responded to some initial questions I had and were very friendly and accommodating of any additional needs during our stay. It felt like a home away from home inside the house but you knew you were somewhere special once you stepped outside the door to enjoy the views! The drive up to the property itself on a winding driveway passing through evergreens and cedars made it feel even more special and tucked away from any busy roads - very tranquil and quiet. The only sounds you can hear are the waves from the lake and wildlife. Highly, highly recommend this hidden gem whether for a weekend getaway, a family vacation or a large group event as the grounds can accommodate it all. Will definitely be returning again! Thank you to everyone at Lake Bluff Preserve for being such wonderful hosts.

Beautiful Property
Couldnt ask for a better property location right on the coast of Lake Michigan. Important to note that there is no AC however this was not an issue for us even in the beginning of August as we opened windows and used fans at night which kept everyone cool. Also important to note that there are multiple houses/apartments connected. For half our stay we were next to 20-25 people who had 8-10 cars and were less than pleasant/entered our property multiple times "by mistake." Might be worth looking at what is booked next door if you do not have the whole property to yourself. But overall a wonderful location and close to a lot of the sites and trails that Frankfort has to offer!

Short but sweet
We enjoyed our stay overlooking Lake Michigan! Only complaint was that the neighboring unit’s use of marijuana one night was definitely noticeable through the back windows of our unit.

Amazing location - okay stay
The building does NOT have AC, which means windows open at all times for our mid-summer stay. Which means we could hear every conversation/dog bark in the adjacent unit and every bit of noise from the huge party held next door. 30+ drunk kids celebrating a graduation party make a lot of noise and sleeping was tough.
In addition, we chose this property in large part due to it's beach access. Erosion on the lake has broken off the stairs to the beach, so it is now beach view, not beach access. The erosion is not under control of the property management, but they either need to fix the steps or change the listing to clarify that the beach is not accessable.

Wow. This place was perfect for my wife and I and our two young children (2 year old, 6 month old). It was very clean, perfectly set up to cook your own meals if you'd like and the view is unbeatable. Its secluded (especially when there's no one else renting the other properties) and the property is really pretty walk around on.
Walter was an awesome host. Really friendly, helpful and accommodating. He made our short winter trip very pleasant and relaxing. Hope we can come back!

Walter was very accommodating and available for any needs we had. The only situation we had was figuring out the television set up to watch the football game. He dropped what he was doing late on Saturday to help us out. Beautiful view of sunsets and multiple fire pits to enjoy as well. Well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds.

Spectacular Get Away with Impecable Service!!!
I reserved The Lake Bluff Preserve property for a romantic weekend getaway to celebrate my husband's 50th Birthday and our 26th Wedding Anniversary the last weekend of Sept. I searched several websites looking for the perfect location to allow us serenity, privacy, breathtaking views at an affordable rate. This property checked ALL the boxes, but far exceeded my expectations!
This property is STUNNING! I am a photographer and could not get over the views this offered. Access to the home was thru a beautiful pine forest, opening to lush grassy dunes overlooking crystal blue waters. With wooded bluffs on either side the location is totally private, but still within close driving distance to all of the area attractions :)
The In Keeper Walter was unbelievable, he met us at the property, showed us around, gave us all kinds of information about the area, local restaurants, activities, landmarks … He was so knowledgable about the area,fun and easy to talk to. From start to finish, he made our stay fun, comfortable, easy, and luxurious. When we left, my husband and I both agreed he was a very special person and truly enjoyed getting to know him.
This property is exceptional, roomy, clean, well supplied and comfortable. The views from every room are lovely. We WILL most definitely be returning to this property. Not only did we love our visit to Michigan but we truly want to bring our extended family back to this location!

Perfect family getaway!
We had a wonderful stay in Frankfort. I'm so happy that we found this beautiful place. It's private, but close to downtown Frankfort and Glen Arbor. I love the simplicity of the decor, which allowed us to focus on spending time together, enjoying the view of Lake Michigan from the bluffs.....which is amazing! We watched the sunset, stars, planets, milky way and the moon from the deck. Walking down the stairs to the beach was an adventure that we all enjoyed. The platform landing is a great place to relax and take in the view. In the evening after the sunset, we had a bonfire and made S'mores. The firepit had benches around it, which made it easy to gather. At the end of the day, the beds were very comfortable. The entire place was spotless. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We easily could have stayed here without having to go anywhere, but enjoy this retreat. I was happy to have no clocks and we didn't use the WiFi because we were happy to disconnect. The host, Walter, was very welcoming and helpful. He helped to make our trip exceptional. My family agrees that this was one of our favorite trips. Everything was perfect and we can't wait to return!
