My partner and I loved this place! The owners met us when we first arrived and made us feel immediately welcome. They provided us a handy list of things to do and places to see while we were there. Our first night stay was peaceful and quiet. Having this charming place to come home to after our sightseeing made the whole experience even better. Also, there's a small grocery store nearby with all you need to cook a nice meal in the kitchen, if you want. We ate in a few times in the downstairs section and had a friend over as well. We highly recommend this place.

Perfectly located little house that was great for two! Easily walking to all the places we wanted to see and restaurants. A few little grocery stores nearby. Our hosts were very helpful, especially as we were there over Sunday/Monday when many restaurants are closed. They gave some great suggestions.

Staying and meeting Luis and Antonia was an absolute and memorable experience. They both carved out a time to meet with me, sharing points of interest, asking me what I liked and recommending restaurants, bakeries based on what I had expressed. They are both great communicators and were pleasantly accommodating. I really appreciated each and every little thing they did to make my stay a safe and happy place. I absolutely love Evora because of them and will definitely return.

This was the perfect place to stay in Evora. Location in the old town couldn’t be better. The owners, Luis and Antonia were wonderful from the first greeting where they provided a lot information on Evora and the area. Their enthusiasm was contagious. Obragado!

The property was perfect, very well located in the city. The hosts were very nice, having prepared a map of things to see which we really appreciated and they gave us a bottle of wine of the region, cheese and bread. They helped me secure a reservation in a great restaurant in Evora which was absolutely superb!

Luis and Antonio both met and gave us a very friendly welcome when we arrived at the property which was very straightforward to find. The food and wine was very thoughtful and they went to great lengths to make sure our stay went smoothly which was much appreciated. They provided us with phone numbers for the nicest restaurants and encouraged us to book which was a great tip as Evora is a popular place! Catching the train to Evora from Lisbon was very straightforward. There were taxis available on arrival but we walked. The Cathedral was stunning. Thankyou for a great stay.

It’s beautifully and tastefully renovated and in a great location for all the local sights, with a small but well stocked supermarket with very helpful staff just 80 metres away.

Easy to access and clean! Had a wonderful time with the best recommendations from our host. Air Conditioning in the main bedroom was the cherry on top for us during the heatwave of summer. Slept like babies! Located close to an exterior parking area (10 min walk), we rolled our bags in and also had an easy walking route to all the tourist sites. Luis & his wife we’re welcoming and so helpful in the many questions we had about the city! They even provided a map and list of top places to visit and restaurants. 10/10 would recommend to all friends and family.

CLEAN, QUIET, LARGE COMFORTABLE APARTMENT on 2 levels. Has AC in bdrm but did not need to use as weather cools in the evenings. Full functioning kitchen. Easy to explore the town from this location. Gracious and helpful hosts -by far the best experience in our Portugal trip. Highly recommend.

The accommodations were wonderful. Made us feel like we were at home. The location is perfect within in the city walls and near all the important sites. The photos accurately reflect the home. Luis and Antonia provided a wealth of information on check in as well as wine, bread and cheese. What more do you need? They went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel welcome. Take advantage of all they have to offer. Would definitely recommend staying in their rental and certainly hope to return.

The property is in the historic town of Evora. Perfect location. We booked three nights and were able to extend to five. I loved the town, the apartment and the hosts. Luis and Antonia met us at the apartment for check in. They made us a list of sites to see and cafes and restaurants. All were great. If you can do a tour and lunch with them do it. We loved it. The apartment was 10/10 on a cleanliness scale and the bed was SO comfortable!

Luis and Antonia have gone to every effort to provide or offer a Portuguese experience. The apartment is wonderful. It reclaims Portuguese architecture. Their hospitality is out standing. We took advantage of two trips that they offer and we learned so much about their culture. One of our interests is other cultures. They offered a personalized list of sites and restaurants in Evora, very helpful. We plan to return.

Luís and Antónia greeted us at the property with gifts of wine, cheese and bread. They took time and care to show us the house and had maps and written information about Évora and the surrounding area. The casa was clean and nicely furnished and appointed with everything we needed to be comfortable. We highly recommend Casa do Becca Forçada n 6

The hosts were very thoughtful and prepared a suggested personalized itinerary of places to visit in Évora to ensure we see the highlights and visit some of their favourite restaurants and bakeries.

Wonderful hosts, Antonia and Luis, were a delight. They gave us a detailed intro to the house and area, brought us unscented laundry soap, and kept our bags the last day while they cleaned and then met us in town to give us a ride to the station! Take the megalithic tour with them if you can and don't miss going to lunch with them afterwards!

Beautifully renovated building in the old town of Evora. Attentive hosts with extensive local knowledge that have gone to a lot of trouble to refurbish and refit this comfortable and spacious three level apartment located within easy each of local sights.

Among the many apartments we have rented over the years this was one of our all-time favorites. Though being in a very old building in an old neighborhood the apartment was very well refurbished. Despite the oddity of having the living room on the top floor with the bedroom with the kitchen downstairs, the apartment had everything we needed. The location was great, in the old quarter and convenient to everything we wanted to see. What put this rental over the top was the hospitality of owners Luís, Antónia and their son Santiago. Antónia prepared a customized list of suggestions of things to see and restaurants to visit, all of which were first-rate. They also offered us a special tour to some sites in the area which we had chosen. We piled in the car with them and our afternoon felt more like our being allowed to join them on a family outing than a sterile tour. We left Évora feeling like we'd not only experienced a fascinating town but that we'd made new friends. We can't recommend staying at this place highly enough.

Our 3 day stay at Luis and Antonia ' s cozy, immaculately clean apartment was perfect. We had everthing we needed. Antonia and Luis are wonderful people who are helpful with tips on what to see and where to eat. One if the best restaurants they mention is practically across the street from their place. The Internet is fast and you get many English and international channels.Its also so quiet and the bed is so comfortable that's it's hard to get up in the morning and start the sightseeing.You will not be disappointed staying here. The welcome we received from Luis on our arrival was second to none, giving us many helpful tips and advice to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. Evora was a wonderful place to stay, as a base for our week exploring the Alentejo region. We spent many hours exploring, seeing the many sights and getting lost amongst the maze of streets. The house has been renovated to a high standard, keeping many original features, whilst ensuring comfort for guests. We spent days out exploring the surrounding area, particularly enjoyed Marvao, with its castle and spectacular panoramic views. Thank you to Luis and Antonia for their kindness and hospitality.

Luis and Antonia were so welcoming! The provided us with a list of very interesting places to visit and not just the main tourist destinations. The house was great for two people. About 3-4 steps down you have a large eat in kitchen. Up stairs you have a large living room and large bedroom. They put a bed in the living room for us. I was really impressed. Both beds were super comfortable, some of the best I've experienced. I was particularly impressed that the second bed was a bed and not a cot! Just the experience of staying in a medieval building in a medieval town was amazing! Ok, it means that the rooms have odd nooks and crannies, but Luis and Antonia used the spaces really well. I. Addition, they've opted for really good Windows and a tight fitting door, which keeps the house quiet quiet if you want to sleep in. But with so much on your doorstep, you'll want yo get an early start. I'd advise parking outside the wall and walking in. It's about 10 minutes, but much easier than driving on the narrow cobble streets. We just drove in to pick up the bags. I would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely, recently restored apartment in the old city, easy walking distance to museums, restaurants, etc.. The hosts went above and beyond in giving suggestions, being helpful, even acting as our guides for different attractions outside of town. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful visit in Évora thanks to our hosts, Luis and Antonia. The location is in the heart of town, a very short walk from the main plaza and sights and tastes of the city. The house is charming, recently renovated and fully equipped. But the special warmth of our hosts made the biggest difference. They welcomed us the first night, provided a custom walking tour map, and went out of their way to help us to explore our special interests in the culture and life of the Alentejo region. They went out of their way to help with transport and translation for a visit to a local farm. Their recommendations of restaurants and places to see in town (and it's such a rich place historically) made our stay in Évora a delight and a highlight of our time in Portugal. We would happily stay here again.

A beautiful appartment in the heart of Evora. All equipment/kitchen/bathroom is new and very well maintained. Antonia and Luis - the bests hosts ever! They prepare a lot of information about Evora, places of interest and so on and also about the area. You can ask everything and come with every problem, they have an answer or a solution. Very personal and warm welcome and goodbye. Thank you once again so much for everything. Also you have free WiFi (good connection) and in the evening we could do phone calls to Germany for free! We liked all activities they recommended. Of course I would recommend this location with this hosts to all nice people!

We had a warm welcome from very nice owners! They gave us usefull information about the city and places to go in the surrounding area. The house was very comfortabele and in the city center. When you decide to visit Evora, stay in the house of Luis and Antonia!!!

We stayed for 10 days and were able to walk everywhere in Evora. We were able to park our car just outside the walls within walking distance at no charge. We also used the apartment as a base for day trips by car to nearby locations such as Elvas, Portalegre, Monsarraz, etc. Evora has great restaurants and public squares as well as other attractions. The apartment is clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. The best part of the visit was the opportunity to spend time with the hosts, Luis and Antonia. They recommended great restaurants. They accompanied us on a couple of excursions, including a visit to Herdade de Rocim near Cuba/Vidigueira for wine tasting. We were able to gain a deeper understanding of Portuguese culture and cuisine with their help. We highly recommend this location.

The apartment is newly renovated and part of a much larger property that came from Luis' family. Eventually the property will house 2 stores, the owner's primary residence, a long term rental and several short term rentals.The apartment has all the modern conveniences while keeping the wonderful historical designs of the building including for example barrel ceilings. The apartment is two stories with the living room and bedroom above the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a small grocery nearby. Free car parking is about 10 minutes walking to just outside the old city walls. Fans provide cooling when necessary. While the apartment is nice, the most wonderful part of our stay was sharing time with Luis, Antonia and their darling son Santiago. We feel as if they are friends for life. They will spend as much time as you desire with you to explain their culture and geographic area. For example, they spent an entire day with us as we explored the area by car stopping at a typical restaurant for lunch where the local men might break into song after a few drinks. For sure we were treated to experiences only the locals normally enjoy. Only with this type of exchange will you really experience a country. Portugal is full of beautiful landscapes and even more beautiful people. Again the apartment is wonderful but you will miss out if you don't take the opportunity to share time with Luis, Antonia and Santiago. They are a wealth of knowledge and full of genuine concern that you have best experience possible. Enjoy!!!
