Missing the extra touch of welcome pack on arrival even just a pint of milk, couldn't see a hair dryer.

the fact it was secluded and we could just go about our day with no fuss. The bedroom was beautiful and bright with stunning views

Very comfortable, clean, warm, comfy beds, excellent log-burner.
Grill pan was left full of grease, didn’t use it and oven needed cleaning, unfortunately. Dogs next door barked for hours into quite late on Saturday night - kept us awake and our own dog anxious and barking in response. We had come away for some peace and quiet…. not good, since the owners of our property had made a point of asking us to be quiet after 9.30pm as they had young children - not really acceptable to be leaving dogs alone until late at night if they bark.

Property is beautiful and lots of very helpful facilities that were a lovely surprise. Location is peaceful and tranquil.
Cleanliness was very poor. Entire property covered in dog hairs, we had to do a lot of cleaning daily to get rid. This was disappointing for us as we had a 8 month old baby with us. Urine stains on toilet seat from previous occupants wasn't very good either.

A beautiful cottage with everything you need and more. It's cosy, comfortable and it really felt like a home from home. We can't wait to book again!

Spacious, very comfortable cottage which is much larger than it looks on the photos. Log burner was bliss after windy cold walk. Luxurious dog friendly, water bowl with water in for the dogs and fresh free range eggs for us.
Kitchen had loads of pots pans and glasses with great extras like a wine cooler in the freezer.
Main bedroom was so light with its own balcony and bed was really comfy.
Rainfall shower over a huge bath ideal for soaking in after a long walk.
Also 5mins walk from the dog friendly Ennerdale Brewery Tap bistro that serves great food and lovely staff.

The cottage was lovely and cosy , will consider coming back and just loved the fire place( my favourite thing) ❤️
Storm Arwen hit during our stay, one day without electricity ( not the owner’s fault).

Views were great. Log fire and the living space too. Quiet and short drives to plenty walks and pubs.
Never saw the host in person. Upstairs toilet was dirty. Suite smelt a bit of dog.

Shower, we were unable to set the temperature. It was too hot.

The cosy setting, roaring fire and it beautifully furnished and clean. It had everything we needed and even had a high chair for our toddler which was so handy
