Flat of 130 m2 on the top floor of a very quiet Latin Quarter street

This apartment had personal touches, souvenirs, and art that made it feel like being guests of a friend. The hosts were very responsive by email when we had questions. The neighborhood is one of the best in Paris. We didn't do any cooking, since within a half mile radius of the flat is some of the best eating in the city, and there is a wonderful open air market at Place Monge a few days a week from which we organized some wonderful meals back at the flat. The four flights of stairs weren't really an issue--we ranged in age from 29 to 74. The train and Metro are both an easy walk, and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens are also near. And the Seine is not that far either to walk to. Over the course of the Olympics, 5 of us stayed the entire time (we were grateful for a washer and dryer in the flat), and 8 people came and went, with a maximum of 9 at one time, using all 5 bedrooms. We did not use the loft or attic beds. It worked fine for us with the bathrooms and watching the Olympics on TV. Some of us even used the balcony a few times for breakfast. I'd stay there again with a group of friends. We had a great time--the coziness of the flat helped create a warm atmosphere.

Our group of 10 stayed here. It's big and is in a great location right by the Pantheon where you can walk everywhere. The owners were very communicative and responsive. This is the owners' family's primary residence so their things are still there, but they have a couple clear cabinets and closets and a completely clear fridge so still certainly enough room for guests' things.

We appreciated the size of the flat, the many different rooms, the kitchen and two bathrooms and toiletts. In particular it was nice with an intact flat with everything in place like there was a family living here with furniture and all. Nice views from the windows. Very close to transportation fascilities, many resaurants and shops in the neigherhood.

This property is spacious! There are plenty of bedrooms.
The pocket doors to living spaces kept it quiet where our kids slept. There is a lovely view, and it is a short walk to anything you may need or want, but tucked in a dreamy, quiet neighborhood. The hosts were easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay and were flexible with check in and check out. The loft spaces were kid sized, and a fun spot for them to explore. A lot of rentals feel very empty and bland. This is clearly a home, and we enjoyed that very much. What a treat to stay here!

Our local Scout Group (10 ppl Total) stayed at the property for 4 nights at the beginning of August. We had a wonderful time. The location is close to the RER train line, and blocks away from the Pantheon. Enough beds for everyone, and functional kitchen. Bathrooms are a little dated, but for downtown Paris, you aren't spending any extra time there anyways. Would recommend.

We had a hard time finding a property that would house our sibling families of 10. The property was amazing and the location was fantastic. Communications with the owners were quick and clear. Thank you so much!

We had an amazing time at this apartment! We had grandparents through young kids and loved this property! The location is exceptional, the apartment has fantastic character, and the hoste is peerless: prompt, accurate, and flexible. Highly recommended!

The place is very conveniently located and has plenty of beds available for a large family with kids or a couple of families to share. The hosts were also VERY helpful and communicative.
It is a lived in home vs a typical vacation rental, but that adds to the experience of being "home" in Paris!

Virginie is an amazing communicator and is available to help makes holiday time in Paris even more special. The apartment is in excellent location. So many thanks to Virginie and Luna. Please note, this is an older well-lived home so not recommended for anyone with mould sensitivity or allergies.

This property is in an excellent location. We loved being able to walk to the markets and attractions

Staying here with my family made us all feel like true Parisians living in a Paris neighborhood. The apartment was perfect for our family, clean and well kept. The neighborhood was also perfect, so close to the Pantheon and the Luxemburg Garden being only a couple of blocks away. Many excellent restaurants to pick from. Even the restaurant, fountain, and building from Emilie in Paris is two streets away. Our host was friendly, accommodating, very assistive, and spoke perfect English. We will come back.

Couldn't have been happier. Ideal for larger families that like some privacy and space inbetween outings. Not lacking anything and easy communication with the owners. It is the owner's own home, mind you, and not a vacation home.

My family and my sister's family stayed here and had a wonderful experience! Communication was great about amenities, things to do and how best to get around Paris. We were able to look out the windows or sit on the deck and see the Panthenon. We walked home from dinner a few nights and felt very safe doing so. With five bedrooms, large living room and dining room we had plenty of room to relax. This is a great neighborhood and place to stay!

What an amazing property! Our multi-generational group of nine was hard to please, but all agreed that this flat was in an incredible location. Virginie was kind and very easy to communicate with. Her written guides on the area were very helpful, both in French and English (for those in our group who weren't practicing language).
During our week long stay, the 5th has absolutely become my favorite arrondissement. Everything you'd want to see or do in Paris is within a 20 minute walk, bike, bus, metro, or scooter ride from the flat. Amazing food is steps away.
There were plenty of sleeping spaces to accommodate our age ranges (6-69). The kitchen became our informal gathering place and made it feel like home. The flat was so well equipped for any family need. The washer and dryer (!!!) allowed us to pack lighter. The little ones marveled at the bathtubs and enjoyed washing off hot August days. They never even asked for television!
Highly recommend this property for families, and would absolutely be top of mind for a return trip.

This listing was so lovely. The location and size to accommodate our large group (6 adults, 8 children all under 6 years old) for the price was incredible. Additionally, they were very flexible with our travel schedule and were so helpful in helping us navigate Paris and providing answers. The home truly shows their personality and it full of games and books and creativity. We knew that, if we lived in Paris, this would be a family we would want to be friends with.
Great overall experience!

This property was a great last minute find.
The family had tons of toys the littles could play with and the space was very kid friendly.
Pictures matched the real place- yay!
Big bathtubs for an afternoon rinse or a boat/bubble battle for worn out littles.
It is a lived in family home. Think your bestie says - “you can stay at our place!”
It’s not a staged rental.
Our childrens’ ages allowed us to easily keep the teens happy, the younger entertained, and the baby was able to play with the large toys- would have been a nightmare with a toddler that could walk though.
BEST PART; an excellent creperie and the best seat for the evening Eiffel Tower show is just 2 blocks away.
Quiet and dark at night.
And the stairs are no joke! Prepare your quads 😂 but having the huge floor all to your group = worth it!

We had a wonderful family vacation in Paris. Location was perfect easy access to trains - right near beautiful Luxembourg gardens!

We had a great staying in Paris. The hostess was very sweet and helpful. The apartment is huge and very comfortable. The location is amazing. The Pantheon was our neighbor LOL and there were many options for public transportation around. We also enjoyed the cafes and restaurants around.

Great apartment close to 2 metro lines on a quiet street. Since it's a family's home, it has everything you need unlike most minimally furnished vacation apartments. Both David and Virginie were lovely and easy to communicate with.

What an amazing apartment in the heart of Paris! We shared it with 2 other close friends families and everyone had enough beds in beautiful rooms. I loved the Picasso| /Miro style colors and design. The layout is super creative! It was always easy and quick to communicate with Virginie and her detailed guide to everything in the apartment was very helpful. I can't recommend this place enough. We so enjoyed our time there! Merci Beaucoup!

We stayed in this apartment with a family of 6 including 2 grandparents and 2 children. It was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space. Everyone had their own room. It was very quiet. There is an excellent view just outside the window. There are 2 bathrooms (the listing says 1 but there are 2). I would kindly suggest a shower head in the second bathroom so there there are 2 full showers but this was a small detail. The owner met us and was so kind -- she explained how to use the appliances and where everything was at. She provided some details for Paris. We felt very welcome. There are not many rentals like this one and if we went back, we would definitely stay here again.

Great host, very organize and helpful. The property was clean and in a great location. Definitely, would visit again!

This apartment comprises the entire top floor of the building. It is in a great location near the Luxembourg Gardens and Rue Mouffetard. It is great for family, especially with little ones. There are lots of small, loft locations for sleeping, two showers, a nice kitchen, washer and dryer and everything you need for a fun stay exploring Paris.

Virginie and David were excellent hosts. They provided detailed instructions on how to access the flat (including pictures!), were a sounding board for outings during our vacation, and consistently responded to emails and texts quickly. We had 6 adults and 7 children and very much enjoyed our stay in the flat. They even set up a crib for us. The Pantheon is within sight from the front door, and Luxembourg is a short walk. Lots of other great food and sites within walking distance. Would stay here again!

Our extended family of 11 stayed here for a week. Only a couple of blocks from rue Mouffetard, short walks to 2 different Métro lines and RER. Walking distance to Ile de la Cité, Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin des Plantes. The apartment is a family home, so all appliances, lights, and plumbing etc. were in working condition. Bedrooms are mostly small, not suitable for lots of big luggage. One of our family members stayed in much of the time because of an injury, and was very comfortable in the large living room, dining room, and bedroom. The balcony, reached via the living room windows, would be lovely to use in summer but we were there in late October.

Virginie and David’s home is a great choice for anyone with any size group....especially a large one with children!Although it is located on the 4th floor with a few steps to climb, don’t let this deter you! This home is very spacious, large Parisian windows, well complimented and spacious kitchen and boasts a large family area to gather. The location of this home is hard to beat! Being situated on a quiet corner of Rue d’Ulm and just a short 9 min walk to the LUX RER, 12 min to the Metro at Place Monge (loaded with restaurants) and the 21/27 and 28 bus stops only 3 min around the corner, it is a great location! (I must include a pitch for Ristaurante Pasta e Fagoli right around the corner too)Our stay was during the big “hear wave” in Aug 2018 but ample fans for each bedroom made it comfortable to sleep. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and sleeping with the large windows open to the street, one would think they were in the country....not in downtown Paris! Oh...and a small terrace to sit on in the evenings too!We were met by their house keeper both upon arrival and at 0630 am on the morning of our departure (to return our deposit). Gina was impressively polite and helpful! Since she lives just around the corner, she provided us her direct cell number in the event we needed something! Although we did not have a need to reach out to her, it was nice to have!I have stayed in 5 different, quality homes in Paris and this one rates right there with them all.....with the benefit of having a large group!!! I would not recommend this for groups with more than 8 adults for the sole reason a few of the beds are in lofts and would be hard to access for adults....but perfect for the kids!!! And they would love the loft areas too!!Due to the cleanliness, spacious rooms, quiet neighborhood, the ease of check-in/out AND it’s amazing location, I am giving Virginie and David’s home a 5-star rating.
