The villa is in a ideal location for swimming off the beach at the bottom of the garden., and for visiting John Moores rum bar !! It is very modern , a great sonos sounds system very comfy beds , big bbq , and has the wow this is amazing factor. I loved sitting in the outdoor seating area listening to the sounds of the sea. Thank you Nick for being so helpful and Cheryl is a gem of a housekeeper , it was our first visit to Barbados and we absolutely loved it.

Breathtaking villa on the beautiful West Coast. The open plan exterior lounge and dining area leading to the sun terrace overlooking the ocean was simply incredible. Stunning interior design throughout made this a very special stay. Located by Reeds Bay, a really lovely quiet beach with a crystal clear sea, absolute paradise. Well supported by the team from Young Estates who planned all of our dining and entertainment needs. Highly recommended

Only stayed here for a week having been at another property for the previous 2, and my only regret is we didn't choose to stay at Solaris for longer. We absolutely loved it here - contemporary, brilliant location, well equipped, great hosts. Genuinely couldn't have asked for more, and we will start saving straightaway for next year!

We were the first guests at the newly renovated Solaris Beach House and were wowed by this property. It is even better than the pics and the housekeeper, Cheryl, is a treasure. Any need or want you can think of will be satisfied to perfection. It is such a relaxing place but close to great shopping, restaurants, and unexpectedly marvelous grocery store, Massy's. You will not be disappointed at Solaris Beach House and we will return.

Camden Nook was everything it was said to be and more! Beautiful house and views. The beach is perfection. Cheryl was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Really the only thing I would have changed was the work next door but not a big deal. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to go back! Our hosts made it a memorable stay. Thank you!

We have just returned from a wonderful 14-night stay at Camden Nook for our grown up family of 6 adults. Having visited Barbados many times over the years and stayed in 5 different villas, I think that we all agreed that this was the best property we have rented yet and we have already booked for a 3-week return next year. The villa is light and airy with plenty of room for everyone, furnishings are stylish and contemporary without feeling overly ostentatious, good aircon in the bedrooms that works properly, great outdoor space to eat and relax whilst looking at that great view of the Carribean only a few feet away, not many places where you get to lay in a hot tub and watch the sunset over the Carribean ocean every night! But the very best thing about our stay was our wonderful housekeeper Cheryl, I don't know how much you guys pay her but she is worth her weight in gold! Cheryl would arrive every morning with a bright cheery "Hello!!"and a big smile, if required she would cook all of our meals and whilst we didn't need her to cook all of our meals she did amaze us with her Bajan hot fishcakes, Chicken Roti wraps, Bajan bakes and chocolate mousse. As well as keeping the villa spotless and doing any washing twice a week her best attribute was just her lovely happy smiley nature, she was always happy to chat whilst she worked and felt like an extended family member come the end of the holiday. Cheryl also had a friend with watersports eqt. and hired a couple of jetskis that were delivered to the beach, we also hired a couple of paddleboards from someone else for the duration as we wanted to make full use of the big blue swimming pool at the bottom of the steps, word of caution here as dependant on the sea conditions that prevail , the height of the sand at the bottom of the steps to the beach can alter by as much as 2 foot, so when the sand is high it is a perfect step from the bottom step onto a lovely sandy beach, but when the sand is low there is a 2-foot drop onto a few small rocks that require careful navigation for a few steps until you reach the sand of the beach, no biggie but small kids would find it tricky. See that the villa is up for sale so just waiting for that lottery win to roll in and we will be buying it !!

The house was immaculate, he setting picture perfect and our housekeeper, Cheryl, an absolute delight. From arriving in Barbados to sadly leaving we had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend Camden Nook asa place to stay. Easy access to Hometown and Speightstown, wonderful restaurants nearby and a beach at the "bottom of the garden".

Camden Nook was ideal for us and exceeded our expectations. The villa was beautifully presented and the welcome given by Cheryl, our housekeeper, was superb. The location couldn't have been better and with two lovely bays to choose from when you walk out of the villa, you really are spoilt. Reeds Bay was however, our favourite with a superb beach and calm sea and very few people. Cheryl really made our holiday thoroughly relaxing. She was so helpful and very happy to cook for us. It was great to get to know her whilst we all sat and enjoyed her local dishes. Fortunately our three children said that they would prefer that Cheryl cook for us rather than eat out and we couldn't disagree and were not going to argue! There were plenty of watersports available and you could be picked up straight off the beach. We swam with the turtles and snorkelled reefs and the wreck on a couple of occaisions with Daniel (Summer Sports Watersports - 230 1673) who has a boat in the bay in front of the villa. He was excellent and we would certainly recommend him. All in all a fantastic and memorable holiday that the whole family enjoyed. Nick and Celia thank you.

Comfortable beds, loved the water front, enjoyed walking along the beach ...you had to walk through some water to keep going but it felt like an adventure! Loved how only the bedrooms were air conditioned...we don’t like being cold in the house! Most beautiful sunsets!

Overall, my family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camden Nook. The location was magnificent- with the ocean at our backdoor and a local fish market and Rum bar just steps away. Our children enjoyed the many nearby beaches- all with beautiful, white sand and warm, blue water. Camdem Nook was well appointed and was suitable for the family. Melinda, the house "assistant" was also wonderful. The only constructive criticism we have is that there were some items at the home that need attention and, had they been corrected, it would have given us an overall better experience. The main one is the hot tub, which was inoperable the entire week- none-the-less, it was still advertised as a nice feature of the property. Other small things like fallen down landscaping lights and general "quality" of the home. Nothing major...we could simply tell this was a rental property and not one's primary residence. Again, this property and location worked for our family and we came away with a wonderful Barbados vacation experience and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for the accommodations!

Perfect beach house for a quiet and laidback vacation. Functional amenities, good location and stunning view. Excellent offering of in-home entertainment. Also loved the puzzles, games and books.

Camden Nook is the perfect place to relax. As a family, we loved the garden access to the sea, the wonderful lunches prepared by Shernel and we very much appreciated Wendy’s management and knowledge of all aspects of our stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything you could need from a Caribbean holiday. Right on the beach. Comfortable. Private and yet near to everything the West Coast has to offer.

Lovely beachfront Villa with plunge pool. This was our third stay at Camden Nook and it just keeps getting better. Lovely positioned plunge pool jacuzzi overlooking the sea. We had lovely lunches made for us and enjoyed the Sonos music facility. Camden Nook is well placed for access to the main restaurants on the west coast and we visited Lone Star, the Cliff, Tides all being great beach front restaurants and Nishi in Holetown a fantastic Sushi and Pie restaurant!. Also we liked Lemongrass (Asian/Thai) and Pepenero (Italian) in The Limegrove being great value. We did water sports where we were picked up from villa. Best trip being Calabaza catamaran cruise along with nights to Harbour lights. 1st street on Sundays being a great music street party night with street food also and one love bar serving very cheap drinks. Tuesdays and Thursday band night at Bar in Chattel village. Also went to Garrison savannah for races which was great. Thanks to Nick and Celia for letting us stay in your lovely villa. Camden nook is amazing! We just returned from a week visit. The home is much larger than the pictures appear. We walked the beach and our best snorkeling was done right outside our door. Had dinner almost every night on the large open private patio. Nick was so easy and great to work with. Wendy was our housekeeper and made our stay extra special with her island tour guide help. We hope to be back !

Everything we could want from a beach holiday

The villa is located in the perfect position, five minutes from Speightstown to the north and Holetown to the south. All the best restaurant's are within a twenty minute drive, The Cliff, the Lone Star, Daphne's and Tides. The Limes shopping centre in Holetown is only a 5 minute drive, this is also the same for the Supercentre supermarket which is situated opposite the Limes. The villa is situated on one of the best beaches in Barbados, it is quiet and unspoilt , we were able to swim with turtles just outside the villa gates !! We also had regular early morning visits from green monkeys running along the fence and through the garden. Not forgetting to mention the villa comes with the best housekeeper and cook. Rosemary is a truly remarkable lady and made our family feel very much at home from day one.

What a place ! we had a fantastic time we swam and snorkelled on our own reef outside the villa from sunrise to sun set, the kids had the time of their lives just playing on the beach all day. The villa garden and deck area became our living room we sat out each evening and took in the tranquil sky's with the accompaniment of the the sea breaking on the beach at the bottom of the garden. We swam with the turtles and took jet skis along to Wholetown. The local fishermen and inhabitants where very friendly and kind to us and helped us with making deals on the boat trips and jet ski hire with the local beach vendors. We bought fish from there local market and fruit from the stall next door all at very reasonable prices. At evening times we sat out on the porch drinking Rosemary's rum punch, which is the best and we drank many bottles. Rosemary is the house matron and she makes the best rum punch in Barbados she is a very kind and thoughtful women who made our stay most happy and memorable, she invited us into her family and into her church and we took her into our hearts, she made the most fantastic evening meals which would have cost a fortune in the restaurants further down the beach. The house manager Andrew is a very kind man who give us much information on where to go and to eat and he made sure we had everything we wanted and that our stay most pleasant. We married on the beach just out side the garden gate Thank you to Nick and Celia for allowing us to sample paradise. We will return soon Sonja and Norman

We have stayed at Camden Nook on many occasions over the past 4 years. We highly recommend this place to all. The house has all the amenities and for creature comforts you could wish for, and highly recommend car rental for Island and restaurant exploration. Very clean and comfortable, especially as wonderful maid, (Rosemary) always keeps it spotless. The beach at the back is great and the water is crystal clear. It is very private, enough so for all-over tanning, but not isolated to the point that you feel completely cut off from the world. It is very SAFE place, and as beautiful as it gets. Swimming is a joy and can get right out without concern. This place is great for groups, families and couples and anything inbetween, We are already booked for this year!! Nick and Michele
