The house, gardens, chickens and frogs were a delight!
Definitely planning to revisit.

We had a wonderful time in the Villa Kitrini.
Patrick was very nice and helpful.
The house, the garden and the Pool are very loveley. We traveled with five kids and they enjoyed every minute in and around the house.
And every evening we enjoyed a spectecular sunset ober the sea.
This wasn't our last time in Villa Kitrini.

The Villa was beautiful inside and out. The views did not disappoint. Gorgeous olive groves, sea views, sunsets and mountains. Children were free to play and make as much noise as they liked as no immediate neighbours. Patrick and Heidi went above and beyond, cannot recommend this Villa highly enough. Patrick’s excursions were excellent value for money and his local knowledge gave us a real insight into the Greek way off life that otherwise would not have been possible with anyone else. Please book your next holiday at Villa kitrini you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect house and welcoming hosts
We all totally enjoyed our stay here. The views to the sea and the mountains behind, are really beautiful. You feel apart from the world in this haven of peace. The house is bright and airy, perfect for families or groups of friends, designed with so many seperate spaces inside and out, and along with the garden are is equiped with everything you might need.
Patrick and Heidi are perfect hosts and made us all feel most welcome in their home.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Brilliant villa in stunning location
The Villa is beautiful and even better than the photos convey. The property has so many different facets and caters for all ages and interests - with enough space that large groups can space out or come together as needed. Patrick is a superb host. He was very responsive and quick to help with any questions or recommendation requests. You should be prepared for the road/track up to the house - it's a loose gravel road and a steep turn - but nothing that a good car with high clearance can't handle. And once you get the house, it's definitely worth it!

Also sehr zu empfehlen!

Unforgettable family week at beautiful Villa Kitrini!
My multigenerational family of 10, ages 77 to 3 months, had a spectacular week at Villa Kitrini. Patrick met us at a local supermarket so we could stock up on groceries and then showed us around the house. During our stay he went out of his way to help us with a couple of little emergencies, which was greatly appreciated.
The house and pool were a source of great enjoyment day and night. We loved eating at the tiled table facing the pool and spent time reading on the varied terraces with different views of the mountain and olive trees. Other highlights were our visits to the gorgeous Voidokilia beach, the ancient World Heritage Olympic games site, and lunch outside at the Garden Taverna in Olympia, where the staff were so helpful and gracious. We also will always remember the surprise 40th birthday dinner we gave my daughter. Heidi had recommended a bakery in Kyparissia, where we met a charming baker who delivered an amazing cake with ice cream to the only restaurant in the nearby village of Stasio. We had a delicious meal there outdoors (the waiter told us his father made the red and white wine being served) where the children could play, and the owner/cook couldn’t resist holding the baby. We will never forget the Greek hospitality we experienced in the Peloponnese, with many thanks to Patrick and Heidi as well for their warm welcome and for making their beautiful house available to other families like ours.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Kitrini. We had more than enough room for 6 persons. We also liked that the house was very tastfully furnished, so it felt nice to be both inside and outside of the house. The house also contains a large collection of books, films and music. Other pro’s are the jacuzzi, the beautiful garden and swimming pool. One thing we didn’t like was the access road from Stasio to the villa, which was very bumpy. Apart from that we really loved our stay and hope to return.

Our family had a delightful vacation staying in this wonderful house. It was the perfect spot for exploring the local area, visiting Olympia, and relaxing.
The pictures really represent the house well, but the property itself is expansive and full of fun and surprises. The kids ran around outside all day and there is a great hiking path up the mountain behind the house that starts a mile away.
The house itself was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen and outdoor grill were perfect for cooking for our large group and we enjoyed dinners on the patios while watching the sunsets.
The nearby villages and town have great local bakeries and stores as well as extremely helpful and friendly people.
I hope to be able to visit again in the future!

We came to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday..
There were 17 persons in our party- me my wife, 3 children with their spouses and 9 grandchildren.
The house is beautiful with pretty landscape of the sea and the small village in distance. It is equipped with everything you need in your vacation: spacious rooms with balconies, nice beds, nice kitchen and a place for bar b q- everything in good conditions.
Since we came in October we did not use the swimming- pool very much, but we liked to eat launch by the pool. We did use the hot tub extensively. The children had lots of games and equipment they used like table tennis table, swings and even a space with a basketball ring. Every day we visited a different place within a driving distance, like beaches, waterfalls, a cave and pretty villages and small towns.
Patrick- the host was very kind and was available although we really needed his help only once in our 5 day stay.
To summarize, we had very happy holiday in villa Kitrini and we strongly recommend the place.

Perfect for large family groups
Our experience of Villa Kitrini was just as all the other reviewers describe – a wonderfully serene and relaxing house to spend a fortnight, thoughtfully prepared by the owners to suit our particular needs and interests during our stay. We were a family group of 12 across three generations and the villa provided everything we could have wished for, with so much space, so many games and the terrific scenery. We spent hours sitting on the shady terrace reading, doing the crossword, eating and drinking while gazing across miles of countryside and coastline. When we did venture out we enjoyed the Neda Falls, the old town of Kyparissia, a variety of beaches including the splendid Voidolkilia beach and the night walk to see the turtles at Kalo Nero. We found Armeni, a 10-15 minute walk down the hill, a very pleasant village, with a nice bakery for morning bread and a very welcoming taverna. We ate there one evening and were promptly invited to return for the Okra festival a few nights later, an event not to be missed if you are there at the right time!

Amazing villa in a wonderful location
The villa was all we could have hoped for and more. We were a family group of eleven, ranging from 70 to 5 years old. The five young children loved it (as did the adults.) They spent the first morning exploring the extensive grounds, which held hidden treasures round every corner and was very child orientated. They enjoyed collecting the eggs from the chicken every morning and held numerous contests of table tennis in the games room. But the overwhelming delight was the swimming pool, from which we struggled to get them to leave.
Every evening we barbecued and enjoyed wonderful meals, watching the lovely sunsets, The location is extremely quiet, with nothing but the sound of cicadas.
The beaches nearby were great and sandy. We loved the fact that we met very few English! The area is predominately Greek. We went on one excursion to Proti island which I would highly recommend..snorkelling over sunken ships and diving off the boat.
The villa itself is a very welcoming home, with every amenity that you could need and is full of interesting objets d'art. We all loved it. My daughter enjoyed playing the piano and the children discovered the card game 'Fool' which seemed to cause great hilarity!
Patrick could not have been more helpful, getting in provisions as we arrived late at night, and responding immediately if there were any minor worries.
All in all a fantastic stay. It was summed up by my 5 year old grandson, who, on leaving, said " Bye bye house. See you next year." I hope so!!

Every bit as good as the photos
Spent 5 days here in May 2017 in a party of 6 (all brothers). As an old Greek hand I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything worked (pool full and clean; copious hot water; well-equipped kitchen...) and that the property description and photos were entirely accurate. The villa is indeed luxurious.
The setting is peaceful and the views are tremendous. The taverna by the church in Armeni (10 minutes away on foot - rather more coming back) is very welcoming and also good value.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Villa Kitrini to any large family or other group looking for comfortable, good value accommodation in this part of the Peleponnese.

Amazing... fantastic... need I say more?
We stayed here in August 2015 and it is a holiday we will never forget.
The house, swimming pool and grounds are gorgeous - something you get a glimpse of in the photos but need to visit to be able to really appreciate. Everything you could possibly ask for to make a holiday truly special is here, whether as a family or group of friends (or both). If it weren't for the fact that we needed to do grocery shopping, we would never have left the villa!
Patrick was the perfect host - waiting for us when we arrived to explain things (for example how to get fresh eggs from the chickens every morning!) and otherwise left us to our own devices.
We can''t recommend this place enough.

Our family enjoyed a superb one week stay at the "Yellow House" which is located just outside of Kyparissia on a hillside overlooking the Ionian Sea in early July, 2016. From our initial email contact in the planning process through to greeting us on our arrival and seeing us off on our day of departure, the owner Patrick and his family were friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions and needs. The house is located just a few minutes drive from nearby Kyparissia, which has several large supermarkets, a delightful bakery, and a conveniently located pharmacy. There are restaurants and tavernas located nearby as well; we enjoyed those in the "old city" section of Kyparissia. There are many outdoor attractions and activities within a one hour drive, these are detailed in an informative binder which Patrick has put together. The house itself is truly a home away from home, with every amenity one could think of to make a memorable stay. From the fully equipped kitchen to the various indoor and outdoor dining spaces, the eclectic art, music, movie and book collections, and to the comfortably appointed bedrooms and modern bath facilities, we felt as if we were not staying in a vacation villa or holiday house, but a real home. Sunsets are magical over the Ionian Sea, and the olive groves which surround the house and in the nearby hillsides and mountains with the buzzing cicadas create the perfect ambience in which to open and enjoy a bottle of the local wine with bread dipped in the family's delicious olive oil. The game room with its ping pong table, dart board, and beverage fridge are a bonus, and the swimming pool is clean, well maintained, with warm water. If you a farmer at heart, there are even chickens to take care of. The photos on the website do not do Villa Kitrini justice, and I would highly recommend this house to those who are seeking to stay in a part of Greece which is scenic but off the beaten path, yet close to the beaches, mountains, waterfalls, and villages which make the Peloponnese unique.

Fantastic
What a fabulous home you have and how lucky we were to stay in it. We all had such an amazing time with everything there that we needed and more. Beautiful views all around and the lovely pool and great BBQ nights. Very very quite in such a beautiful setting with lovely beaches just a short drive away.
We enjoyed feeding your chickens and having fresh eggs and it was an added unexpected bonus to have pool and beach towels provided.
We visited lots of interesting places, including the waterfalls, Olympia, Methoni and Plylos and there are still plenty more to see in the area.
Everywhere we ate including the 2 villages near you served excellent home cooked food and were so cheap! We were really spoilt.

Fabulous villa
Fabulous villa, the best we have stayed in. Very spacious, extremely well equipped. Amazing pool surrounded by very well maintained gardens and olive trees. The villa is in a secluded and quiet location, no other properties nearby, looking down towards the sea giving fantastic views (apart from 1 pylon!). As the villa was so comfortable we spent a lot of time there but also explored beaches and tavernas in the surrounding area. Would love to return.

PS helping ourselves to the grapes, vegetables and herbs from the garden, as well as looking after the chickens and collecting the eggs was a delight, only sorry we didn't meet the tortoise.

Spacious villa in a wonderful peaceful location
Stayed as a family of 6 in July 2015 and had an absolutely wonderful time. The villa was everything we hoped for from the pictures on the website - you approach through a typical Greek hillside hamlet and down a track and then arrive in the beautiful grounds of Villa Kitrini. The villa was very spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you could need. Pool lovely and stayed very clean, aircon worked very well when we had overheated outside! The owner's son was on hand to answer any questions and was always very helpful - and we had fresh eggs every day from the resident chickens. Well located for exploring the area - we ventured north to Ancient Olympia (wonderful) and south to numerous beaches including of course the famous Voidokilia Beach. Enjoyed a boat trip from Marathopolis to Proti Island for amazing snorkelling and had several suppers on the waterfront there in the excellent restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend the area for an authentic Greek experience within 3 hours drive of Athens and Villa Kitrini was just perfect.

Stunning family home in a real gem of an area
This is one of those reviews that I don't really want to write as I want to keep this place all to myself! The villa is truly stunning. Perfect for the family and the best CD collection I have possibly ever seen.
Patrick and the rest of the family are perfect hosts, always contactable when you need help and advice.
As for location - the views of the sea and mountains are beautiful and you are truly spoilt for choice for world class beaches and places to eat.
I was amazed how quiet the beaches were for the peak of summer. This part of Greece is that perfect balance of tourist friendly, but by no means whatsoever over developed. I can't wait to go back again.

Couldn't have asked for more.
A stunning hillside villa in pristine condition. The owner had catered perfectly to our needs, digging out old boxes of family toys to keep our two toddlers and baby amused. The pool was the centrepiece to the holiday and we could hardly keep our two year old out of the water. Local town had a lovely vibe. A few excellent day trips available from here but in truth we opted to stay at the villa most days as it was so well equipped. Patrick could not have been more helpful and very obviously wanted us to have a great holiday. From collecting eggs from the chickens to table-tennis and darts in the games room, not to mention an amazingly well-stocked film and book library. This villa provided the perfect family venue for adults and little ones alike.

Yellow and blue
Up on the hill above the small seaside town of Kyparissia is a stunning lemony yellow villa, Villa Kitrini infact, as "kitrini" means "yellow", the colour of the citrus fruit. One gets there driving up the hill, through the outskirts of Kyparissia and then through a couple of small sleepy villages with their churches and tavernas. The house immediately welcomes the visitor: it is spacey, full of light and one is immediately struck by the stunning view, over the olive groves, to the blue sea beyond. We felt we had arrived in a terrestrial paradise.
Our many plans to go visiting and exploring the region were quite thwarted by a number of unforgettable pleasures: sleeping till late undisturbed by any noise from civilization, sharing a lengthy meal round the large lovely tiled table in the veranda, swimming in the pool at all hours of the day, improvising table tennis or football competitions, reading at length surrounded by the beauty of an English-Mediterranean garden, scanning the dark sky at night for stars and planets, feeding the chickens first thing in the morning. We had chosen Villa Kitrini as the location for a family holiday with adult children and their partners: it turned out to be an ideal choice. The house is very spacious and comfortable, providing every opportunity possible for shared activities and spaces, but also privacy and quiet when necessary. The only drawback really was the rapidity with which time flew: as if the house was located in a time bubble, at the end of our stay none of us was able to come to terms with he fact that all our time at villa Kitrini was already past our shoulders.
