Clean and modern. Covered pool area was great.

We had heard many stories about LeHigh Acres over the last 2 decades that were not very nice but had no actual first hand knowledge of the neighborhood. We were delighted to find a very nice area, friendly neighbors and a great rental house. Martina was always available and responsive to anything we needed as well as a pleasure to work with. The house was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location may seem a little far away to some but it was perfect for us. 10-15 minutes to the Franklin locks and boat ramp. The usual fare of retail stores minutes away right in LeHigh and Fort Myers access available several different ways depending upon where you intend to go in Fort Myers. And one of the BEST things about the location? Traffic is minimal. You won't see 4 lanes of solid cars until you travel to Fort Myers or Cape Coral. E. 6th street can be a little noisy and people tend to drive pretty fast as it's no stop sign, through street. Simply closing the front door alleviates this completely and the house is all about the open back sliders and the beautiful pool anyway. Other drivers where kind and respectful as I would back the boat into the driveway every night. Make sure you stop at the farm stand on Joel Road between LeHigh and Palm Beach Blvd for their fairy tale eggplant and canary melons..

Only problem was pool was cool even on 90 degree day (only about 81 degrees). Nice outside area by pool.

Our entire experience at this Lehigh Acres VRBO “pet friendly” rental was a nightmare! Upon stepping out of our car to meet the property manager,there was a fresh large pile of dog poop! She told us the neighbors had 4 dogs, one a pit bull, one a Great Dane. Actually, they had 5 dogs who were in the habit of using our rental’s yard on all sides of home to do their pooping!! All this poop was not usually picked up. Our small dog was “charge at”through the cage by the Great Dane. Only one dog was ever leashed by its owner, she said the others dogs owners weren’t as respondible as she was.The dog situation was constantly horrible!! The previous renters wrote in the guestbook they were leaving early; they had a dog. 6 young adults lived next door, 50 feet from our front door, with their 5 dogs. The police visited them several times during our stay. The pool was unusable; their pool guy said their pool system had leaks in 3 parts of the pool system! The house itself was okay, minor issues with kitchen lighting electricity that were address during our stay. But between the loud racing cars down our street at nights and the police visiting our next door neighbors, it was impossible to relax let along take our dog for a walk. It made us feel like we were in prison, not daring to step out of the house. Then nightly in the local news Lehigh Acres crimes were reported, and man hunts! The sad thing is the month before we drove down, I contacted the property manager through VRBO messaging and she assured me the area of our rental was in a fine part of Lehigh Acres. Sadly, we found this was untrue. We told the property manager we did not feel safe before we had even entered the house. She said the area was just fine, but, she did say she would look for another rental with an enclosed yard as she managed 12 houses; but, she never mentioned our request for a better, safer place again. I called VRBO about the situation immediately; they said unless we could say we were in actual danger nothing could be done for us. The property manager was pleasant but we felt she was over whelmed with her responsibilities. During COVID she said the German owners of her properties had not been coming to America, so she had to handle everything. We left a few days early when we were able to secure another house. We would strongly say unless the owner enclosed his property with a fence he should not be allowed to list the house as “a pet friendly VRBO rental”.

The villa truly gave us the vacation feel: relaxing, comfy, just about everything we could ask for - good beds, pillows, clean, peaceful, space to spread out or group, kitchen appliances and utensils for whatever we were making, and a garage to tuck the car away for the night. Easy check in/out and a great price, worth the price. We didn't want to leave!

Property was very nice. We enjoyed the fact that the pool was heated. The only negative is that the unit could use some updating. The blinds and the master mattress need attention. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The pool was very dirty when we arrived. Then a pool guy showed up, asked if dirty when we got there, we answered yes, he left and never came back.

Just slightly off the beaten path yet close to shopping and restaurants. Relaxing pool while watching the many birds that visit the back yard. We will stay again !!!!!

I'm going to share some pros and cons of this property for awareness. We were already in Florida and planned to stay at this property. With the pending Cat 4, I contacted the property mgr to see if we could get in before the 4 pm check in. She was more than happy to help keep us safe. And the house was comfortable. The house was also solid during the storm - no shingle missing except some screen from the patio. While we lost power on Wednesday, the house stayed relatively cool. Pool was lovely although we never got in it because of the hurricane. My only input had there NOT been a hurricane is that the water was well-water and some additive/maintenance needs to be taken to eliminate the rotten egg smell every time you turn on the spigot. Thank you for a safe place to stay.

We had a Blast and it's our 2nd time staying at this property and it's really our home away from home. Looking forward to next year!!!

Kids loved the pool and it gets lot of sun! Super clean house and the pool was cleaned while we were there!

Property is as described. Communication was great with manager. She was attentive and addressed any concerns and issues. This property is a long drive to the beach but close to the airport.

Spent a week here and it was exactly what I had hoped for. Quiet clean and just perfect.

We left early. Sliding door in bathroom of master bedroom did not close. Blinds to patio were broken. Patio furniture was dirty and pool appeared to be unclean. There were only a few fast food restaurants in the area to eat at and the beaches and tourist attractions were 45 minutes away.

Quiet neighborhood. Property needed few repairs but overall very clean and comfortable for our stay.

Great place to stay, great host, hope to be able to visit again soon!

The house is not only super clean, but really cozy! We enjoyed our stay and we are very happy that we could have our pups there with us! Communication with property manager- A+!

Upon arriving at property, you will have a binder with possible charges, ranging from 40 dollars to 350 dollars, one is from failing to clean the grill. When we first arrived at the property, we visited the pool, it was cold. We reached out to the property manager of why the pool was cold, she stated that this would be an extra cost if we wanted the heater turned on. We reached out to VRBO, they stated that they were to not charge extra, but never told us until after we left. The area is not a great neighborhood. The hvac vents were disgusting. The furniture on the lanai was rusted, one of the legs had about two inches rusted out. The property needs some simple maintenance done, door hinges on the outdoor enclosure were sagging, making it hard to close the doors. I would recommend to find an alternative if you want to use the pool, much better places out there without a pool. VRBO did nothing for reimbursement of unusable pool, even though it was listed as heated.

We enjoyed our stay here. Place was clean & comfortable, pool was nice and Martina such a nice lady. Would stay here again without a doubt!

Nice place to stay

Heater for pool and cable didn’t work until 4 days into stay, second bath tub didn’t drain and was filthy when we arrived. Had to clean the pool filter to get the heat to work myself. Spent a hour on the phone helping the cable company figure out problem. Owner had the gall to post charge me for electric for heater of pool. Very busy road in front of house with people driving way over speed limit.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Martina the property manager was extremely nice. We were in town to visit family so this location was perfect. You can not beat the value of this location for the modest cost.

Enjoyed our stay. House was clean and had everything we needed. Stayed close to the pool during the day and ventured into Ft. Myers and Venice during the afternoons/evenings. Martina was a gracious host and we look forward to visiting again!
