We loved our stay at Hidden Beach Cottage. The location was fantastic - the beach at the end of the lane is now much wider than pre hurricane Ian. The cottage itself was well laid out and had a well stocked kitchen. Lots of great outside space including nice pool area and screened in porch. Would highly recommend a stay here.

This was a perfect vacation! Very relaxing yet not at all boring. Lots of laughter and good memories. Pat’s place is beautiful and she is a dream to work with. I would highly recommend her and her property. Very easy to understand instructions on how to get to the island and obtain groceries. Everything worked perfectly.

My teenage daughters, my husband and I just returned from 7 glorious days on NCI and we can’t wait to return! The home was clean and well stocked. I would suggest more beach towels and some new pool floats as all of them were popped or broken. Also a new REAL cooler and not a handle-less styrofoam one, would have been very helpful as well! Other than that everything was perfect! Thanks Pat for your warm hospitality and beautiful home!

Paradise found at the Hidden Beach House
First of all, Pat was so wonderful with her communication as stated in other reviews. She responded to all my questions & was very helpful. We enjoyed the house so much! Has everything you would need for an excellent island experience. Only a few minor glitches that were handled right away. We loved using the bikes, kayaks, the outdoor pool & game area. It worked out perfectly for our group! The house was stocked nicely & Pat even had a nice welcome basket. We’re planning to return without a doubt.

Week away
North Captiva stole our hearts! This house was a great location and had a wonderful outside area next to the pool with games and a tiki bar that was very fun to hang at. The pool was great for us because we had a 9 month old who needed to be at the house to nap a few times a day. We also selected this house for proximity to the beach and the baby crib (pack and play) and high chair seat. The house itself inside didn’t have any frills but we chose it for the outside area and the screen porch which were both great! The host was very communicative and the island was very easy to navigate with the golf cart provided. My only complaint was that the beds squeaked, especially the queen one. Also, if you are coming to get good internet, don’t hold your breath. Apparently this house had better service than a lot on the island but that is the joy of being on vacation and unplugging.

A great rental with lots of outdoor toys, kayaks, golf cart, boogie boards, bikes etc. Clean home, great check-in experience, very well stocked with everything you would need for the week. I would rent this home again in a heartbeat.

Lovely! Beach house is warm and inviting! Short walk to beach. Swimming pool was heated and so enjoyable anytime of day. This is a haven away from busy, hectic life! Very rejuvenating getaway.

Incredible week on the beach!
My family just spent 7 nights staying with Pat and we had a wonderful week! In my opinion, Pat's house is on the best part of the island where a 4 mins walk from the house to the beach led us to an almost private white sanded beach. We watched dolphins and manatees from the beach, and enjoyed breath-taking sunsets. Pat supplies an endless option list of ways to set-off on our adventures. From 4 kayaks, bikes of every size, kids' sand toys, to sun chairs and an umbrella, there is something for everyone. The use of the golf cart was a great way to tour the island. The house itself is the perfect size for a family of 4 or 5 (we have 2 teenagers, so each had a bedroom). We loved being able to come back after a day on the beach to grill, play in the private pool, throw cars, and play a game of pool. My favorite part of the house was the huge screened-in porch where I sat in the mornings and where we ate meals. The kitchen was well-stocked for people who enjoy cooking. Pat was quick to respond to any questions and helped me figure out the ferry schedule. We would absolutely come back to visit and hope to do so again soon!

Relaxing Family Holiday
This was the perfect property for our family. It is in a nice location on the island and a short comfortable walk to the beach. The house is well taken care of and nicely appointed. We rented an extra cart from the owner. Both of theirs are lifted witch came in handy during the brief rain showers. Any questions we had got a quick reply back from the owner. I strongly recommend this home and will probably be there again next year.

Covid beach get away
The house was perfect for my family and friends of 6. We were with a larger group that had another home and it was a general consensus that our home was better. It had a cozy at home feeling.
There was a hiccup with the home while we were there and Pat did everything she could do to fix the issue. She was an amazing host. This house just a small walk to the beach which I walked every morning. Tortoises live on the island and we saw them most everyday our my walks. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking coffee with friends in the morning, then having a cookout in the evenings. This house has everything you will need for a beach vacation on North Captiva Island. Our teenagers loved the pool and pool table. Lots of seashells to be found on the island. We had 2 golf carts and so glad for that. We at at barnacles once. It was good but expensive, island price’s. Take plenty of food, your clothes, fishing poles (if you fish) and a good book. Thats all you need!

Fabulous. A warm, inviting cottage with every amenity anyone could wish for. Our hosts, Pat and Tom, went out of their way to make our stay the perfect getaway. They are wonderful people. We had a relaxing, delightful month there on that jewel of an island.

Pat and Tom are available and helpful from start to finish. The house is much prettier than the pictures. We loved the pool and outside entertainment area. The beach is a short walk and is beautiful with a shade tree. Everything about the house including extras like the golf cart and beach chairs, makes sense and flows perfectly for a relaxing time.

Cute, clean cottage
Super clean and cute. Everything you need is there. Not fancy, but just right. The pool and deck area (under the house) allowed us to stay outside almost all day. It is a short walk or cart ride to the beach, that is never crowded. Nice beach chairs and some umbrellas are also available. We like to try a different house each visit (9 years now) and this was one of the better ones for a small group. North Captiva Island is an awesome destination. Most of the houses available for rent are nice. What we find important is distance to the beach, a private pool, screened porch with comfy furniture and a good under house area. This house hit all those marks.

Hidden Beach House is a “Dream Come True”
This is our 10th or 11th year returning to North Captiva and there is No where else we would stay. This home feels like home and each year is better than the last. Clean, accommodating, lovely, perfect place to relax, great kitchen, fantastic pool, excellent lanai with outdoor bar, grill, darts and a pool table.
It is a 3 minute walk down a gorgeous lane to the beach.
There are kayaks, and bikes to use for exploring the island. And the house itself is so well maintained, you can see how much the owners care about providing the best place for guests to feel welcome.

Immaculate Paradise with Character and Cleanliness
The property is so spectacular that I almost hesitate to discuss how great it is as I know I'm letting out the secret out of just how wonderful the location, condition, and amenities of this property. It's a short walk or short golf cart drive to any beach. The island is a dream.... If you want shopping malls and lots of restaurants, then this isn't for you. Back to the this great home, WOW!! It's an oasis of fun with a great area to enjoy the outdoors in the shade with a billiards area, outdoor bar, and hammocks everywhere that surround a very nice pool. What makes this property truly special is the care and love that Pat and Tom have invested into it and that is why this place is an A+ property. We WILL be back!! Thank you Pat and Tom and Lilly too!

Perfect!!!
This house has everything you need for the perfect island and beach vacation! The house is welcoming, beautifully decorated, and comfortable in every way. We enjoyed the ability to be outside. The outdoor entertainment is incredible; swimming pool, darts, pool table, kayaks, bikes, and much more. We spent most of our time swimming in the pool, eating on the deck, and playing the many games. In addition, this house is in the perfect location; just a short walk down the road and you are at the beach. Our family of 5 (kids 14, 11, and 7) were able to comfortably enjoy every aspect of the house and the island. Thanks for providing us with a home away from home so that we could truly relax and enjoy island time!

Lot’s of amenities and a short (minutes) hop to any part of the Island. Plenty of comfortable beach chairs, kayaks (4), bicycles (12?) and two golf carts. All the best appliances. Caught a lot of fish off the beach while there. Shells always washing up on beach but most importantly, the beaches are beautiful and not crowded.

Super-Fantastic-Most-Excellent Place on the island
Okay, we are biased as this is our ninth year vacationing in paradise. Hidden Beach House continues to be better than the year before. Why? Well, the owners take pride in maintaining the property, if there is ever a problem, someone is available to help any time of day. (Did I mention we've never had a problem?) It's in a perfect location on a lane that leads directly to the beach -- some years it's a small step down -- this year it was a bigger step -- that's Mother Nature for you.
We love to swim in the pool, sun on the beach, read books on the beach, sun at the pool -- rinse and repeat.
The rooms are fantastic, the lanai is a perfect place to hang when you don't want to be in the sun. The appliances and kitchen are perfect for the type of cooking we do -- which by the way is mostly on the grill, which is outdoor in the lanai, which is by the pool.
Bottom line - we'll be back. And you should come -- you won't regret it!

Amazingly relaxing island paradise
The house was clean, well stocked with linens and toys/games for the kids. Pat and Tom were very hospitable and made our stay memorable for all. Access to the golf carts made transportation on the island easy and fun to navigate. We will definitely be back.

THE place to stay for a family of 4-5!
We absolutely loved North Captiva & Hidden Beach House!
One of the things we liked most about this house is that Pat & Tom have made use of the space underneath the house with a wooden deck, pool table, dart board, bar, mini-fridge, BBQ, hammocks & it all opens out to the pool. Probably 90% of all houses on the Island do not have a set-up anything like this so it really does differentiate the property from others on the island.
Also, Pat & Tom were a joy to work with and we appreciated all of their personal touches to make our stay so enjoyable. So nice to have the golf cart for exploring the island with our young kids, they just loved the golf cart. We also thought the location of the house was perfect and found some of the beachfront properties can be very windy, so it was nice to hang out at our little oasis on very windy days.
People will read in the reviews that the photos don't do it justice, and we couldn't agree more. Not sure when, but we will definitely be back to Hidden Beach House!
