We stayed at Emilia’s house for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen is well supplied , the beds are comfortable , when not out and about there is comfortable seating (which we have found in short supply on other places we have stayed and the terrace was wonderful. Although no air conditioning, the many windows provided ample air flow and we were always comfortable. It was very close to the daily market, ferry to the beach and the river waterfront. For us, the accommodations were the best we’ve had for our style of travel. Really, nothing negative to say.

Das geräumige Haus von Emilia liegt zentral in Tavira; Restaurants, der Fähranleger und die Markthalle sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze in der Nähe des Hauses (und wir haben immer sofort einen gefunden). Die Dachterrasse des Hauses ist ein echtes Highlight; es gibt Liegen, Esstisch und Stühle sowie eine kleine Sitzecke (z.B. für den abendlichen Absacker ;-)) Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, Gewürze, Öl, Essig etc. sind ebenso vorhanden wie viel Geschirr und Besteck sowie z.B. eine elektrische Saftpresse für den frischen Orangensaft am Morgen. Toll ist auch, dass es neben den Handtüchern für das Bad auch welche für den Strand gab (dafür waren auch Sonnenschirm, Kinderspielzeug, Windschutz vorhanden); bei einer Anreise mit dem Flugzeug spart das ja schon etwas Platz... Emilia ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, mit der die Kommunikation im Vorfeld und auch vor Ort immer reibungslos funktionierte. Wir können sowohl den Ort als auch das Haus absolut empfehlen.

Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse ist ein schöner Ort zum Verweilen mit Blick über die Dächer. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Restaurants sind ebenso gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und hat alles, was man benötigt. Emilia ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

Nous avons passé des jours inoubliables dans cette jolie ville de Tavira. Très bons restaurants, jolies plages plein sud et fantastiques environs sans parler de l'accueil chaleureux des habitants, avec Emilia au premier chef, fort bienveillante et à la très belle maison. Agréable maison pleine de charme et très bien équipée. Bien située en ville, avec des places de parking abondantes dans le quartier. Emilia nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Une bonne adresse !

Casa muito limpa e bem decorada, muito funcional (com um bebé de 1 ano e meio que adorou andar de um lado para o outro a explorar), com terraço com vista para os telhados de Tavira e que dá muito jeito para as refeições e relaxe noturno. O único senão é o quarto do r/c ser interior (só com postigo no tecto), o que deveria ser dito na descrição para avisar. A Emília é uma anfitriã com muito bom gosto e dedicada. Gostamos muito!

Communication with the owner was always fast and efficient. She treated us the best way. It is a fascinating old house right outside the center of Tavira. Easy walking distance to the boat to Tavira Island. Easy parking in the surrounding streets. Close to the local market, if you want fresh produce. The house is quaint, but slightly overfurnished, and it has plenty of nice outdoor areas to sit. You will always find shade. The main rooftop area has shade in the evening. The rooms downstairs are considerably cooler at night than the room upstairs.

The typical Tavira house was fantastic. It was very comfortable and very well supplied with everything you could possibly need. The house was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. The upstairs veranda was brilliant and we had numerous meals up there. The owner was very friendly and kind and even left some special treats for us. The location is perfect and there was ample parking close by the house. We would happily go back for another visit. I highly recommend the house for anyone wanting to visit Tavira.

Das sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll mit allem nötigen ausgestattete historische Stadthaus liegt absolut zentral. Nur 2 Minuten zum Bäcker (grandiose Pastel del Natas), 5 Minuten zur Markthalle (5 kg süße Orangen 5€ für die elektrische Saftpresse) und 5 Minuten zum Fähranleger zur Ila Tavira oder zu diversen Restaurants. Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet vom Waschpulver für die Waschmaschine bis zu Tabs für die Spülmaschine, Alufolie, Müllbeutel...nix brauchten wir einkaufen! Strandequipment vom Sonnenschirm bis zum Liegetuch und reichlich Handtücher, Bettwäsche! Es fehlt an nichts. WLAN funktioniert perfekt und während die Teenager im EG chillen, genießen die Eltern die Ruhe auf der Dachterrasse und morgens das Frühstück in der Sonne (Liegen, Tisch, Sonnenschirm...) Danke für die schöne Zeit, Emilia!

we have stayed at this property before and plan to do so again and again. we have tried several different ones in Tavira and keep coming back to this one because it has everything we need and is in a fantastic location where you can experience the old architecture and have total privacy all within a short walk iof the fabulous market place. highly recommended.

This house is perfect for a long or short stay. It is peaceful and equipped with everything you will need. Emilia provided a lovely welcome gift and was available to help with everything. Even though it was January we were able to spend some hours on the terrace. Tavira is an authentic Algarvian town with wonderful access to walks ,markets and beaches. We spent 2 weeks here and ate out in many different local restaurants. Thank you Emilia for your hospitality. We hope to return and will tell our friends about this Pearl of the Algarve.

We really enjoyed our stay in Emilia's house. Emilia was a great host and was very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay. The house has great indoor and outdoor space. if anything the web description does not do it full justice. We made good use of all the facilities including dishwasher, washing machine and bbq. But the big drawing card is the outside terrace. We spent a lot of time there eating meals, sitting out or on the loungers. The location of the house is great with the Market and the feryboat to beach a mere 5 min walk away. There are supermarkets and little cafes nearby while the beautiful town centre is less that 10 mins walk. If you want to stay in Tavira you cannot go wrong with this property.

We had a wonderful time in Emilia's house enjoying the comfort and all the modern conveniences. Tavira is a charming town, great for walking and, in March, not overrun with tourists. The rooftop terrace is a lovely bonus where we read and lunched.

The location of this townhouse is key! Only a three block walk to the heart of Taveria and the river, it's a quiet location and this townhouse was very clean and very spacious! Had everything we needed and then some, beach chairs beach towels etc. We would recommend it to a friend or stay here again ourselves.

The owner/manager was very kind and knowledgeable. The location of this traditional Tavida home is perfect for walking, yet it is quiet. The rooftop terrace is lovely. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Emilia's house is beautiful everything seems new and spotless. We met Emilia who showed us around and answered all our questions she is such a lovely person to deal with. Beautiful bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs and a big plus is the roof top terrace where we had our breakfast every morning. The apartment is close to the market and only about 5 minutes walk to the centre where there are loads of good quality restaurants and coffee shops. Would definitely recommend to couples or families.
