Belle maison de deux étages située sur les falaises du quartier de Christian Hill, dans le quartier historique d'Alton, dans l'Illinois. Profitez de la magnifique vue sur le fleuve Mississippi depuis les chambres et la terrasse. Beautiful home in a lovely setting with a great view of the river. It was perfect for a long weekend visit with family and friends.

We recently stayed at this adorable home and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The house was not only cute but also extremely comfortable—exactly what we were hoping for. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to do, and the view from the house was just amazing. We loved soaking it all in.
The place was spotless when we arrived, which made settling in a breeze. It’s clear the hosts take great care of their home.
Speaking of the hosts, they truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their hospitality was unmatched, and they were always available to assist with anything we needed, no matter how big or small. They made us feel like we were staying with old friends, which added a special touch to our vacation.
Overall, this was hands down one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We’re already talking about coming back for another visit. If you’re looking for a great place to stay with fantastic hosts, this is it!

My daughter and I once again enjoyed our stay. The house is a classic and felt like a home. We so enjoyed sitting on the porch at night staring out to the river below and hearing a bird and insect chorus every night. The hosts were, once again, more than accommodating.

We had a short stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Larry lives right next door and he and his wife maintain this adorable historic home. Everything was well appointed. Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels in the bathroom and the kitchen had everything we needed. There is a beautiful overlook park right across the street.
Will stay again when we visit the Alton area.

We loved the location of this charming historical cottage with its proximity to the Riverview Park. Very charming renovation of a historical cottage with all the rooms updated to modern standards. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Alton.

We loved our three-night stay. The second -floor view of the Mississippi was a favorite among us all as well as the closeness to neighborhood park steps away from the house. From the lovely furniture to the beautiful bedrooms to the neatly-maintained flowers and shrubs our stay was enjoyable. Watch your head walking down from the second floor. The friendly owners and the closeness to town were a plus.

We had a delightful stay at this property. Located about as close to the river as you can get, the house was luxurious but also quite cozy. The views from both bedrooms are superb, and the pillows were some of the best we've slept on in some time.
One note of caution for any travelers with mobility issues: the step inside from the driveway is taller than usual (hey, it was built in 1900 or so) and there are a couple of stairs (not steep) between the downstairs living room and the kitchen.
The hosts were fantastic, and we'd love to visit again one of these days.

We came to Illinois to visit family.Upon arrival the first thing that caught our attention were the historical houses in the neighborhood with a great view of the Mississippi River. Check in process was a breeze. The owner Larry was kind and generous. He was attentive as well. The house has a comfortable relaxing vibe. Bed linens were comfortable, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, plenty of games for a family. We took advantage of the fire pit out back which Larry was so kind to bring over everything we needed for that. He checked on us the first day bringing coffee and related items. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we’d booked again!

Lovely home with a view of the Mississippi. The tasteful holiday decorations gave just the right ambiance for the start of our holiday season! So happy we stayed here for the weekend of a family wedding.
Especially enjoyed The State Street Market and the Lodge at the Lovejoy.

We spent 5 nights at this lovely VRBO on Summit Street in Alton. We were in the area to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday. The home was very spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. Other amenities include a deck off the upstairs bedroom and a nice sized bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked which came in handy when we hosted a small gathering for family members. It is a beautiful location on a brick street across from Riverview Park. It has a great view of the Mississippi River from the upstairs deck and it was fun to watch the river activity. Larry was a great host! We plan to stay here when we return for future family events.

This is the second year of staying in this house for our Gateway MS150 bike ride. My mom and friends love this house. It's wonderfully furnished and very cozy with amazing views of the river off the upper balcony and lovely outdoor area for an evening cocktail. Also an easy walk to downtown Alton! Will be back again next year!

We enjoyed our stay. It was on a quiet street with a view of the Mississippi from the wrap around balcony. The house was clean, bed was comfortable and had good water pressure in shower. Host was right next door if we needed anything. Check in and check out was a breeze. Only thing that would have made it better was softer pillows and better internet speed and signal for streaming.

This is a 1900 stone house that is along a brick street near Riverfront Park in Alton, up on the bluffs overlooking the river. The house has a kitchen, a large main living room, bedrooms upstairs, plenty of room for our family of 3. Lots of nice touches, everything was quite comfortable and well-maintained.

The house is beautiful and very clean. They provide all the amenities you could wish for. The view from the upstairs balcony is stunning. The backyard is has a grill and table and chairs to enjoy your night with family and friends or your morning coffee. My only suggestion to the owner would be if they could please add mini blinds in the living room. I slept on the sofa bed and felt a bit nervous that I could be seen at night. You will truly enjoy your stay you will not be disappointed .
