What a treat to stay at this house. The large living space was open and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, and spacious yard. Would definitely recommend.

I've stayed in many home rentals ~ Homewood Haven was by far one of the best! The owner replied quickly to all of my questions and she was very accommodating! The home was well equipped and had many amenities.

We had a relaxing stay. The house is well stocked and walking distance to many things including the rubicon trail and chambers landing beach/ bar. We unfortunately went on a rainy summer weekend, but the fireplace and hot tub kept us warm.

This was our second time staying at Homewood Haven and we couldn’t have had a better trip. The house was clean, well stocked and provided the perfect setup for a much needed week long getaway. Already looking forward to when we can return.

We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Haven, was a great set up for our family with the hot tub, back yard games and open floor plan. The location was great, central on the west side of the lake to many different things. We never did walk to the beach from the house as I wasn't sure where beach access was and just easier to drive with all our people and kids. Nice house, all set up for our stay - only thing we really had to get was toilet paper since they only provide a couple rolls. Recommend!

This property was beautiful, clean and well cared for. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked, with ice maker & coffee grinder. Plenty of towels, & a nice hot tub. We had two bears come through the yard while playing the corn hole game that was provided, that was exciting! Sue responded very quickly to any communication. Great host, left wine & cookies too!

Our stay with kids age 6 & 8 in July '23 was great. The place is clean (including the hot tub!) and comfy. Sue was easy to communicate with and cared to make our stay great.
Some highlights: The kitchen was great & well stocked for cooking. Beds were comfortable. The location is in a peaceful & beautiful residential neighborhood not far off the main lake road.
A couple things to know about the area:
Note there's pretty bad cell service (Verizon) in the couple miles around the house/that part of the lake for some reason.
It can also be a pretty crowded part of Lake Tahoe -- but that was probably especially exaggerated on July 4th week for us. We usually went 20 mins north to Tahoe City or other areas a bit further for restaurants/beaches/etc.
Chamberlain beach is in walking distance but we found it so crowded. Much better to other beaches for more relaxing beach experience
Overall I definitely recommend staying here!

Beautifully maintained home on Tahoe’s west shore. Our family enjoyed the location. Close to activities but still quiet. We even saw a bear on one of our evening walks. Hosts were great. The whole experience had us longing for our own Tahoe retreat.

Lake Tahoe
Nice home in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to Lake Tahoe beach and several trails. Short drive to local restaurants and several beach areas and water activities. We even saw a brown bear in the neighborhood.

This is our second time staying at Sue’s place and we again had an amazing time! with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the property is well situated and comfortable for larger families, but we stayed just the two of us (and two dogs) and it felt like we were right at home! This property has everything you could ever need and then some. It’s a little older but is in great condition (and so cozy) and very clean. The backyard is beautiful and we love to sit on the deck with coffee in the morning. Our favorite thing to do is ride our bikes from the house all around Lake Tahoe, and Sue’s house is the perfect launching point for that. Sue also is a great communicator and always kept in touch. We look forward to our next stay!

Amazing Tahoma/Tahoe Cabin - With visitors of the furry kind
M y wife and our 2yr and our golden doodle and myself stayed at Sue's property, she left some amazing snacks out and bottle of Sonoma's finest. The kid loved the toys, the dog loved the yard and we all loved the sights, everyone was kind, helpful, it was quiet, however during the evening it picks up a little and you get to hear everyone enjoying the beautiful landscape. The BEARS are a real thing! My wife and I caught one while on the upper deck, next door trying to break in the window (we called it off). Do follow ALL bear rules, I am fairly used to bear country (Montana) nothing to mess around with, not violent however can break lots of windows and doors and you have to keep your car doors locked.
Overall we had an amazing time! We will be back multiple times.

We loved our stay. The hot tub and outdoor area that has been nicely redone was our favorite part + walking distance to Chambers Beach and close to so many other sites, hikes, and Tahoe City. The only downside is there isn't a garage.
Important tip: make sure to follow the owner's instructions regarding bear safety -- leave out cups of ammonia around the house front and back doors plus around your car, don't leave food in your car and make sure your car windows are totally shut. :) There are many bears in the area and they are scavengers!

Amazing property, host, and location!
I'll just start by saying that Sue was an incredible host from the outset -- very communicative and helpful whenever I had a question. She also went above and beyond to give me suggestions for bike rides, hikes, and local tips during our stay. We did almost everything she suggested and had the most amazing time. The property itself is perfect for a larger group and has plenty of space for everyone to spread out. we only ended up using the two queen-bed bedrooms, and definitely could have had more people stay comfortably. I believe the backyard was also recently updated-- the grass was so green and fresh with beautiful flowers planted around the perimeter of the house. Our dogs rarely see fresh green grass (we live in LA) and they wanted to lay and roll around in it all day. The house is super dog friendly also (very appreciated) and one of our fav discoveries was the beautiful woodsy path that leads from near the house, through the woods (a very well-taken care of path) to the main road and the beach. That path was definitely one of the highlights of the trip -- we loved walking through the beautiful woods and our dogs went crazy sprinting along the trail and having that freedom. It was also super easy to get to the little beach near the house -- we watched a sunset almost every night. The house has literally everything you could possibly need, and then some. It was honestly better stocked than my own home. we used the patio and grill and the hot tub almost every night even though it was hot out (the upstairs does get warm during the very hot days, but there are fans and the bedrooms downstairs are much cooler). We rode our bikes every day 15+ miles along all of the beautifully paved paths that led right from the house. This was by far one of our favorite trips we've ever taken (internationally or otherwise) and we definitely plan to go back and stay again in the near future. It was totally worth the long drive. we stayed for 9 days and I could've stayed the entire summer! thanks again Sue and Marc!

Everything about the house was wonderful. Very clean and safe, and all the amenities you could ask for. This was our first get away since Covid, and everything was spotless and cleaned thoroughly between guests, even the hot tub. Super comfy beds and living area was spacious and well equipped. Sue was fabulous and responded immediately when we had any questions. It was amazing for just the two of us, but it would also be great for 2 couples and kids.

Tahoe in October
My family had an amazing stay at Sue and Marc’s cabin this weekend! It was spacious and had everything we needed. There was a great assortment of games and I really appreciated the fully stocked linen closet that came in handy after we enjoyed the hot tub. This trip was absolute memorable birthday for me. Thank you!

Quiet location, close to Chambers
We had a great stay at this Tahoma cabin. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to Chambers beach. The cabin was as described online and met our expectations. The spa is an added bonus after a long day, it was clean and looked brand new. We would recommend this cabin, just might consider bringing fans with you if it is rented during the hot summer months would be my only suggestion!

Perfect place for a family getaway!
We loved the house and had a great stay with our adult kids. The open, upstairs living space is perfect for hanging out together cooking, eating and lounging on the deck. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and worked perfectly for our crowd. Thanks for the great stay!

A wonderful weekend getaway!
My friends and I were looking for a quiet, serene, Tahoe getaway and that is exactly what we got! The neighborhood was absolutely beautiful and proved to be an amazing spot for a quiet morning run. The home was clean and prepared for us with everything we could possibly need! We thoroughly enjoyed the ability to sit in the hot tub at the end of the day, and the kids loved the bunk beds! Plenty of space for our party of seven (five adults and two children) and the kids loved the large dining table for “family dinner”. The location was great for everything we were looking to do, and we can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you!

Loved it!
Decided to take a much needed ski vacation in Lake Tahoe. My husband and I love this area of Tahoe. It's near Tahoma, Homewood ski area, the Meadows cross country ski area, Rubicon Trail, etc... The location of this home can't be beat!
The kitchen is well equipped, with great knives and work tools. I was so happy to see a food processor. One can cook at home and there is no need to eat out. Best part, the home is clean, I mean ==> super clean! <== No dust in the drawers, no lint around the dryer, no cobwebs, no dust bunnies, spotless bathrooms. I love a clean home and have been so disappointed with other VRBO's.
I plan to stay here again, it is truly a gem!

Everything that you could need
Our group really enjoyed staying at Sue's place. The home has everything we could have thought to bring for a winter retreat, both in the kitchen and the rest of the house. The table accommodated our whole group comfortably and the location is about 5-10 minutes away from Homewood Ski. There were some great welcome amenities - like a new kitchen sponge and a welcome gift which were very much appreciated.
Sue was responsive to frequent questions and concerns. The only thing that marred our trip was the driveway not being plowed when we needed to get in and out. Who knew there would be that much snowfall on our trip!?! But Sue worked magic with the plowing company. The hot tub came in handy in easing sore muscles from shoveling snow off the driveway.
I'm looking forward to returning and seeing what other games are in the blue cupboard!
