Location is the ONLY thing this property has going for it. 30 minute stroll to Sandstone Point Hotel, opposite beach and close to shops. The Real Estate Agency that manages the property we’re friendly and easy to deal with, too. Some cute retro glass wear. Photos attached of the high points.

First impressions - Bates Motel. Entire place WREAKED of fuel. I don’t know if the Exxon Valdez ran aground in the main bedroom, or the last guests had a petrol sniffing party. $250/night with a 2 night minimum and BYO linen - WTF! Turned out to a blessing because the bedding looks as old and musty as the rest of the place. Couldn’t fit my car in the garage (not if I wanted to open the door and get out anyway). $500 deposit if you want to collect the keys after hours - again, just WTF?? Some interesting residents (3 locks on the back door starting to make sense). Fair to say I WON’T be back, one of the worst properties I’ve ever booked on this site.

it was really run down and not clean literal holes in the walls! pots and dishes were greasy. found toenails in the carpet ( yikes!)

Surprised to see the unit had an air conditioner as it wasn't mentioned in the ad. This was amazing as it was very humid. The unit itself, is dated however has almost eveything you need. Just make sure you bring your bed linen and towels. The kitchen was very well equipped and shower pressure was great and the hot water heated up quickly. The beds were very comfortable, soft and springy and the lounges were also super comfy. The neighbours were really friendly and informative. We would definitely stay here again.

A little cheap vacuum to clean the sand up off the floor would have been good as the dustpan just spread the mess when sweeping up.

No air con. Tv had no baths in remote so I bought new ones. Grout in shower not clean.

Cheap but cheerful, good budget accommodation. Great location and comfortable.
