My husband and I stayed at Bev’s cottage last year for 2wks. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed 3wks this year. The panoramic view of the water is fantastic, watching sunrises and sunsets that are beautiful. The beach walks are our favourite, you barely see anyone. The cottage is immaculately clean and everything has been thought of. It’s so quiet and peaceful with just the sound of the waves crashing in. It’s a short drive to Charlottetown as well as other beaches. As well your not far from Richards where they have the best lobster rolls! Bev’s cottage, appropriately called ‘On The Edge’ is definitely our happy place and we can’t wait to return! Karen & Chris (Toronto)

We were so happy with the chalet and the location. We were right at the shoreline with incredible views of the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for better. The host, Beverly, was a super host and so friendly. She met our every need. We will definitely be back for another visit. Thank you Beverly for a great time and great memories of PEI.

On the beach was what it was all about

If you're looking for a cottage in PEI, RIGHT on the beach, this is it ! This cozy cottage was immaculate, well-provided, and comfortable. Beautiful sunsets, quiet neighbours, and long, long walks by the ocean. We'll go back !

This beachhouse is perfect. It is cosy, clean, and quiet, with great access to the beach. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The host, Bev, is very nice - she has thought of everything, and the place is spotless. It was easy to stay in touch with Bev if we had any questions or concerns. We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely cottage ‘On the Edge’ of the ocean with beautiful waterfront view. It is a well maintained property outside and spotless inside. The cottage is well equipped with kitchenware, linens, beach towels etc. The host Beverly is always available and very accommodating. It is a great location to tour around PEI. Amazing sunsets and sunrises.

Beverly was very easy to deal with and quick to respond when I had a question. She was kind enough to let us charge our EV at her house and offered us an extension cord if we needed one to connect to the outside outlet. We weren't aware that we had to travel down a dirt road full of potholes for 2.4km and would have brought a different vehicle, if we had known. Her place was bright and I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness, if the fridge had been cleaner. The beds were comfortable, but the Main bedroom bed size was actually a Double/Full, not a Queen size. My husband and I like our space, so a Queen would be the minimum size. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed with our youngest (Thunder storm rolled through one night) and the sofa bed was definitely a Queen. I slept there the next night as well, as it was so hot in the cottage, even with the windows open. Beverly asked us if we minded having the AC installer come one day to install the new AC unit and we gladly said yes. Unfortunatley, it wasn't all hooked up till we left, but the next renters will be very happy it's there. Even with all the windows open, we couldn't cool the place down. The positive is that the sound of the waves were amazing. We were told we'd have access to the beach, which we didn't. The stairs down to the beach were broken, so we had to climb down rocks(8ft-10ft) drop which wasn't safe with our youngest(age 7) and try that with chairs, towels, sand toys, etc. The neighbours staying next door(renters also) came over one afternoon and asked how we were getting down, as they noticed our stairs were broken. They immediately told us to use the stairs at their cottage, which was very thoughtful. It was strange walking through their yard to access them, but we did for the remainder of our stay. The views and beach were beautiful, lots of sandbars to walk on, seashells and seaglass to find and a nice long walk in both directions, which we did at least once a day. On a side note, if you like a dark room to sleep in, this place isn't for you. It would have been nice to have darkening blinds or curtains in the rooms, so you could get a good nights sleep.

Lovely owner! Dealt with any issues immediately. Very nice cottage with amazing views/sunsets. We loved the beach and swimming. Just wish there was a safer way to get down to beach. Overall, a great stay!

Met with the owner who came right over to try and fix the internet which was not working. She was super friendly and caring about her renters. The only fault I would find is that the owner came over one afternoon to wash the windows. We just happened to be out and about, but when we came back to the chalet we noticed that the patio furniture had been re-arranged. I would suggest to all people who rent out their properties to do maintenance when you have no renters. Or, if that is not possible, give advanced notice and arrange a mutually agreed upon time for maintenance and cleaning.

This place was so beautifully situated on the coast. It had everything we needed. We would definitely rent here again!

Your place was just the right size for the 4 of us. Sunsets were spectacular...hope to come back again and enjoy another week.

We have vacationed in PEI 6 times. This is the most ideal setting we have had. Adorable, spotless, well decorated cottage with incredible views and feet from a gorgeous sandy beach. Very responsive and friendly owner made the whole experience a pleasure from booking to check out.

Everything was perfect, the cottage, the sea, the beaches, the weather... perfect spot for a total deconnection. The owner provided everything we needed and even more. À stress free vacation

The back deck is just step from waterfront with 180 degree views of the water. We had a fantastic time in PEI. The kids had fun building sandcastles, splashing in the ocean, catching crabs on the shoreline and toasting marshmallows at night. The cottage is very clean and well maintained. The owner is very responsive. Easy to explore the island from this location. < 30 minutes from Charlottetown and the eastern shore. ~40 min to Cavendish and North Rustico.
