Lovely setting everything you needed close to beach

Beautiful house in a great location - close to the beach and restaurants.
Very quiet and lots of wildlife around to enjoy.
Plenty of space and great facilities in the house.
As it was very hot it was quite uncomfortable at night with no air con. Lots of fans available to use but really needs air con for the summer months.

The look of the house from a distance
The infestation of insects (wasps, horseflies, mosquitoes, fruit flies, ants), no insect screens, lack of security (windows didn't shut and some doors), heat was unbearable (due to fans not working and no aircon), bedrooms were not as stated on website, areas of house were unclean. I explained to Sher (the owner) that we had to leave after an hour of our arrival, due to my families different health conditions (epilepsy, pregnancy and anaphylaxis to wasps) Sher laughed at me and stated there was no chance she would even consider issuing a refund.

Convenient location within walking distance of the main attraction of Horseshoe Bay. Ample fans in house to assist with air flow.
My bad.....I should have taken notice that there is no air conditioning.

We got to see wallabies one mum had a joey popping its head out of the pouch. We saw a koala up in the tree near the kitchen window. Location was perfect kids loved going to the skate park.

Stunning unique property, good sized, clean linen etc, great location.
Toiletries available, basic welcome essentials in the fridge etc.
A bit strange at first as it’s like the owner just left for the night but after 10 mins you ignore the wardrobes we’re full of stuff & just enjoy the property with its quirks.
There was no air con which some family members struggled with.
No blinds for the bedrooms meant the younger child wasn’t keen on going to sleep.
Security a bit of an issue as doors didn’t lock properly.
If the bottom two negatives were fixed/implemented then it would be a fab fab fab stay!

Lovely log-cabin style home with room to move! Our family of 4 had a lovely few days at this property on magnificent “Maggie island”. Would highly recommend, photos don’t do the place justice.

Beds were comfy and cottage as a whole is lovely.
Town has very friendly people.
The place inside wasn't so clean. Spider webs in a bunch of places, a big one in the kitchen. Dead ants in the first coffee cup i picked up. Dust and dirt on part of the 2 beds by the wall.
Couch had dirt. All fans were incredibly dirty.

The location was perfect! Having lorikeets come down while you have breakfast on the back deck is amazing. Rooms quite sufficient for 3 couples. Will be back!

Everything! The cottage was so beautiful, very clean, had everything we needed! Our host was so lovely and very helpful! Also nice and close to the bus stops so easy to find and get around the island!
A little bit farther from the beach then we'd hoped, however it was a nice walk and/or a quick bus ride

Sher was lovely! Cottage was very clean and spacious, just a short walk to horseshoe bay. Doggies loved it! Would book again! :)
Could use a few more blinds in the bedrooms.

Lovely and charming cottage in quiet location. A pleasant walk to beach and cafes, restaurants. Host was friendly and helpful.
