Big Oak Cabin - mountaintop home near Jasper
Big Oak Cabin est une maison confortable sur deux niveaux entièrement meublée, située dans la région la plus élevée des monts Ozark, à une altitude de 1100 mètres. C'est une maison beaucoup plus grande qu'il n'y paraît de l'avant! Big Oak Cabin est idéalement situé le long de la route 7, du côté ouest de la route. Notre cabine paisible comprend un grand pont avant propice à la détente ainsi qu’un pont arrière surélevé et tout aussi grand faisant face à l’ouest, donnant sur un étang et d'où vous pourrez admirer de magnifiques couchers de soleil! Big Oak Cabin se trouve à seulement quelques kilomètres de la rivière Buffalo et de nombreux sentiers de randonnée exceptionnels menant à des cascades et des sites pittoresques.
Une des meilleures caractéristiques de notre séjour chez nous est que nous, les propriétaires, sommes très bien informés sur la région et avons servi de guides à de nombreux sentiers. The cabin, grounds and location to things was superior. We could live there. Privacy when we needed it. Family time with plenty of room. Great time.

The house was clean with plenty of linens and necessities. We loved the location and it was well kept. My 5 yr old granddaughter simply loved climbing all the stairs! We spent a lot of time at the Buffalo River, enjoying the water and having picnics as well as exploring the area and eating at the local restaurants. We look forward to coming back there again whenever possible.

Enjoyed our stay at this spacious two story cabin on AR7 near Jasper. Due to the terrain, both floors are accessible from outside: upper story from front of house, lower floor from rear. Enjoyed having dinner on the upstairs rear porch and enjoyed the sunshine. Everything was clean and well stocked and well cared for.

Our stay at Big Oak Cabin was amazing. Being able to park in front of the porch and having a bedroom, bathroom, living room and deck on that level made it so much easier on our 81 year old mother who has issues with stairs. This was perfect for our needs! Everything about the property was great. Heaters worked great when needed and fans available if needed. All furniture was comfortable and just the whole set up of the cabin was really great. We only had to contact the Host once on getting one of the heaters turned on. The response was quick and resolved our issue (operator error, not equipment). Due to weather conditions, we did not get to use the patio, deck or chairs out back like we had hoped but it was beautiful out there, nonetheless. We highly recommend Big Oak Cabin and look forward to future visits!

My partner and I and our two kids (ages 12 and 14) and two dogs stayed for two nights. The property was clean and exactly what we were expecting based on the listing. The hosts are absolutely fantastic and very communicative-Dennis sent us a list of hikes in the area. We very much appreciated the little details that were available to us - firewood, spices, cookware, laundry, and toiletries. Made our short stay so easy and relaxing! We will definitely book again in the future and highly recommend this property and hosts!
P.S. We also highly recommend checking out Fern Falls! Very close to the cabin and a short and easy hike to a beautiful waterfall! Thank you for sharing the link to the falls in the area, Dennis!

This listing was accurately represented. It was close to all of our hiking spots. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated that our dog was able to come with us for our stay. Plenty of room for all of our needs. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Took a relaxing trip and saw the elk . Glory hope hope was good for us and the dogs. We ate at the ozark cafe , it was very good . Directions to the house were good too. Only negative was neighbor had yappy dogs every time we went outside.

Had a great time. Loved the house. Only recommend that the shower heads be changed to ones that have hand held heads. I am 6 ft 2 inches and trying to bend down to wash hair was a chore.

Amazing no mosquitoes, kitchen was great, very peaceful outside porch, furniture was comfortable, clean, plenty of room for a whole family. I dont like carpet thats just me. My dogs loved it outside and inside too. I Called the owner he responded quick.

Canoe on the Buffalo River
It was great to have a cabin in such a beautiful area. The scenery at the Ozark National Forest was amazing! The family had an adventurous wild ride on the fast moving/ high waters of the Buffalo River. We enjoyed two meals at the restaurant a quarter mile from the cabin. Their cooking was amazing!

Good stay
Our group of four went to sightsee and float. House was exactly as described but bigger than the pictures make it appear. Great location near several different places and activities. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area as well. Can't wait to go back!

Fun and exciting
A birthday weekend get away, it had everything we needed ! We ran out of gas not realizing being from the city with a gas station on every corner, we were in trouble! The neighbor happened to have a gas can full and saved us for sure! We camped in the yard, and cooked out an the hiking didn't disappoint!! Round top was so awesome! My property manager was so helpful an they answered all my questions an even checked in on me to be sure I made it to the cabin ! It was worth the trip an the journey was exciting!!

Amazing time
I had the best time at your cabin! I definitely want to return again sometime soon. The fire pit was lovely, the whole cabin was really cool and the location was so near so many great spots. Also the communication with the owner was phenomenal and he had great suggestions for places to see

Perfect location for so many activities
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is located at such a great location for all sorts of activities. We were less than 15 minutes outside Jasper, but were within great proximity to awesome roads, and lots of outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing/kayaking... The cabin can sleep 4 persons easily, and two couples and two others just as easily. The kitchen was well-appointed, there was a washer/dryer and even a grill. It was our first visit to the Ozarks and when we come back it's highly likely we'll stay here again.

Everything was nice in the property, but if I had one recommendation, it would be future upgrade to 'smart Tv's in the property; that way you could use you phone or other smart devices to mirror on the TVs. Overall, our stay was enjoyable.
