Our Danish- French family of 12 persons from the age of 8 to mid 70 spent an absolutely fantastic week at the old Chateau du Planty. The surroundings are perfect for a family holiday - the pool area with separate kitchen made it easy to cook outside and enjoy the meals at the covered terrace.
The charming old castle was perfect for our celebration - our kind host Daniela was extremely helpful all through the week and even arranged et superb dinner for us.
We can only recommend Le Chateau and give our host 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wpnderful time and the place is awesome. Big swimming pool, ping pong table, space to play volley ball ... The owner is lovely and so friendly. We had an amazing time and thinking about coming back. Thank you so much for welcoming us.

When we arrived we had to wait an hour because the owner and her son were still cleaning (her cleaners had gone to a wedding !). The bathrooms were not as described no wc;s and half the showers did not work. The whole castle needs rewiring (switches and sockets that did not work and fell off in ground floor wc - and tripped out several times). The owner has ripped us off holding back a large part of our deposit to cover 2 punctures on bikes to be repaired "I will send you a copy of any invoices and return the difference when they are repaired" she does not reply to emails or letters. Could be a great property if maintained and the owner was trustworthy.

Was not as described it said 10 on suite bedrooms but none of them had toilets... bit awkward 3 families sharing 1 toilet. Outside area with pool was amazing though.

We stayed at the beautiful castle in May half term. There were 8 adults and 10 children. As stated in previous reviews, the house is dated but we felt this added to its character. We also felt the price reflected this as it was a bargain per family for a week! The grounds were safe for the children to play in, we drove so brought the children’s bikes and they were able to cycle to their hearts content. We loved the fact the pool was in a secret garden behind a bolted gate so there was no worry about any of the children falling in! The pool isn’t heated so we took wet suits and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The lake was a bonus, we enjoyed taking the canoe out. Simon was available at any time and gave us advice on things available locally. The castle is about 40 mins from Puy Du Fu which we’d highly recommend for a day out. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our stay was just super, more than we ever expacted. We had our own privacy, but we were able to get to the village and nearby towns when we needed. Daniela and her family are friendly and they make your stay feel like home in the countryside of France. At the castle you can get the touch of the past and feel it when you prepare the breakfast or dinner for your loved ones. Do not expect to go to 5 star place! The joy have to come from inside of yourself when living in the atmosphere of the 18th century. We just loved it.

It was amazing right from the start. The friendliness of the hosts was impressive and they went out of their way to ensure we had a good time and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The Castle was very old but full of character and though 17 of us were staying it never felt overcrowded obviously as there is so much space available and we had totally to ourselves to do as we please. The owners live a short distance away opposit our back door. It was fully centrally heated and in addition we kept the open fire in the kitchen going night and day.
The grounds are amazing and the peace and tranquility shines through in abundance. I woke each morning to the sound of owls and just lay there thinking how incredibly quiet is was.
Overall cannot complain about anything. Would definitely stay there again. Fantastic place for a large family like ours to get together. Highly recommended.

The Chateau is very quaint., with terrific facilities. The owners are very welcoming, and very helpful. It was a pity that there was aproblem with the swimming pool so we couldn't use it. The canoes on the lake were good and one of our party caught some nice carp there.

The Castle was perfect for our family of 15 (10 adults - 5 kids) - and we had plenty of room to spare. The 12 foot ceilings and 17 century charm were just what we were looking for. The large property quite and peaceful with clear dark star gazing every night. The pool and surrounding area was a huge hit and we ate outside every night. Simon was charming and resourceful host and we all left Chateau du Planty with memories we will never forget.

Our family of 10 adults and 7 children thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay here - definitely a place to return to! The accommodation worked out splendidly for us and we loved being able to eat outside for most of our stay in such lovely surroundings. The swimming pool was one of the main attractions, plus using the various games equipment provided including badminton, table tennis and using the boats on the lake. Thanks to Daniela and Simon for being such great hosts.
